Key Points
The Blessing is a blood lineage conversion ceremony.
The first step of the providence of lineage restoration began with Jacob’s family.
Unlike Eve with Abel, Rebekah helped her second son, Jacob, to gain the blessing intended for the first son, Esau. Unlike Cain and Abel, these brothers eventually reconciled. As a result, God's lineage was symbolically purified.
The substantial purification of the lineage was accomplished in the womb when Tamar’s twin sons, Perez and Zerah, struggled even in the womb for the position of firstborn, and the positions of Cain and Abel were reversed.
On this foundation, God reclaimed His lineage from Satan, and Jesus, the direct lineage of God, was born.
In order to bring us the Blessing, how much God, our ancestors and especially central figures suffered!
In the Garden of Eden, because there was a competition of love for Eve among five men – the three male angels, Adam and God – God gave her the commandment not to eat the forbidden fruit in order to protect her.
That is why Heavenly Father was desperate to perfect Eve.
In line with Korean tradition, a couple should offer 100 days of jeongseong (72 days for sperm formation plus 28 days for egg formation) in order to have a good baby. 100 days of devotion + 265 days in the womb = 365 days or one year.
Our unresolved problems pass on to our children and descendants.
The conjugal relationship is the most challenging and can affect children directly, so it is important to create and maintain high standards between spouses.
We who live in the era of Cheon Il Guk have learned all the principles we should live by through the Divine Principle and the Word. Now all that remains is putting them into practice.
Because we were blessed by True Parents and have learned truth directly from True Parents’ word and example, we are more accountable – before heaven and our ancestors – to practice that truth than anyone in the past was.
While the Holy Spirit can lead us to True Parents, now as blessed owners of Cheon Il Guk with direct truth from True Parents, we are fully responsible to resolve all problems on our own.
As an owner in the age of love, I need to take full responsibility for myself, my spouse, my children, my family, and even for True Parents and God.

(Response to sharing) Setting goals is very important. Then believe in them with confidence: “I will surely achieve this goal!” Then your dream will definitely come true. That is why vision (becomes) reality all the time. If you have conviction – “I can surely do it” – and set up a goal with confidence, surely your dream will come true. This is really the power of dreams and vision.♦
Today I’d like to talk about “God, Women and World Peace” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
<This was an invitational address delivered on September 7, 1993 at the United Nations Headquarters in New York> In the Bible, one of these special women is Rebekah, Isaac's wife. As the mother of Jacob and Esau, Rebekah held the same position in Isaac's family that Eve held in Adam's family. Unlike Eve, however, Rebekah understood God's providence and helped her second son, Jacob, representing Abel's position, to gain the blessing intended for the first son, Esau. Just as Cain killed Abel, Esau wanted to kill Jacob when the blessing went to his younger brother. However with Rebekah's help, as recorded in Genesis, these brothers eventually reconciled in a warm embrace, rather than resorting to violence.
This reconciliation was a major victory for God. This victory, nevertheless, was not complete, since the reconciliation was only a symbolic purification of the lineage. The substantial purification of the lineage had to be accomplished in the womb. This is the reason for the paradoxical story of Tamar. By understanding that Tamar, like Rebekah, was in the position of fallen Eve, it becomes possible to understand why Jesus was born of her lineage, the tribe of Judah. I am sure that many of you have read the story about the birth of her twins. She conceived with Judah, her father-in-law, the twins Perez and Zerah. The Bible tells us that the two sons struggled even in the womb for the position of firstborn.
During Tamar's labor, Zerah's hand was the first to emerge and the midwife tied a red string around his wrist. Then Zerah's hand disappeared back into the womb and Perez, the younger, was born as the elder. Thus, the positions of Cain and Abel were restored before birth took place. It was on this foundation that the nation of Israel was chosen to receive the Messiah. In terms of conventional morality, the actions of Rebekah and Tamar are questionable at best. Why God blessed them has been a theological mystery until today. As we now see, through these women, God was able to reclaim His lineage from Satan so that Jesus could be born. Their lineage was the point from which the Israelite nation started expanding. The word Israel means victory. Their victory was the reversal of Cain and Abel in the womb, the purification of the lineage.
God's providence is the providence of converting false lineage into true lineage. Unless the lineage is converted, we will remain in Satan's false lineage forever. Ultimately, the Blessing we receive is, in one word, a blood lineage conversion ceremony.
How many religious people know that God’s providence is the providence of converting the lineage? True Father discovered this. (As a result) we understand (more clearly) when we read all the mysterious stories in the Bible, right?
Until this blessing came to us, Heaven had been carrying out the providence of the restoration of lineage at unimaginable sacrifices, suffering many misunderstandings and persecutions for the past 6,000 years. The first step of the providence of lineage restoration began with Jacob’s family.
Can you imagine that? The restoration of the blood lineage is difficult to explain to human beings. Even though there are many kinds of stories in the Bible, no one understands (them) clearly. Wow! Behind such stories how much our Heavenly Father suffered in order to change the blood lineage! How much our True Father and True Mother were persecuted! Because of (what they had to do to change?) the blood lineage, all kinds of rumors (were spread). Sometimes as a father and a mother, it is difficult to explain to human beings, right?
As the mother of Jacob and Esau in the Bible, Rebekah, held the same position in Isaac's family that Eve held in Adam's family. Rebekah helped her second son, Jacob, to gain the blessing intended for the first son, Esau. These brothers eventually reconciled in a warm embrace, rather than resorting to violence and God's lineage was symbolically purified.
The substantial purification of the lineage had to be accomplished in the womb. This is the reason for the paradoxical story of Tamar. Tamar’s twin sons, Perez and Zerah, struggled even in the womb for the position of firstborn, and the positions of Cain and Abel were changed in the womb before they were born.
On this foundation, Jesus, the direct lineage of God, was born. God had to reclaim His lineage from Satan so that Jesus could be born.
When you understand that God’s providence is the restoration of the blood lineage, then you need to understand the meaning of the Blessing. It is incredible! In order to bring us the Blessing, how much God suffered! How many ancestors went through all kinds of processes! It is really amazing! We received the blessing based on the incredible sacrifice of our ancestors, especially of central figures.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Fall - 4. The Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil
• God did not create Adam to be alone; He also created Eve to be Adam's spouse.
• Just as there was a tree in the Garden of Eden which symbolized a perfect man, there should also have been a tree which represented a woman who has fully realized the ideal of creation.
• Standing beside the tree of life, the tree of the knowledge of good and evil mentioned in Gen. 2:9 was this tree.
• The tree of the knowledge of good and evil represents the ideal woman, perfected Eve.
• The Bible refers to Jesus using the metaphors of a vine (John 15:5) and a branch (Isa. 11:1). Likewise, to give us a hint about the secret of the human Fall, God provided the symbolism of two trees to represent perfected Adam and Eve.
Based on this, let’s study Father’s word.
Five Men and One Woman in the Garden of Eden
<265-269> As I told you before, there were five men and one woman. So do you think God knowing the value of it could be relieved or not? You think about it! Can God be relieved of the woman? There were two trees; One was the tree of life and the other was the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in the Garden of Eden. The tree of the knowledge of good and evil means Eve, that is, the sexual organ. It means the sexual organ of a man and a woman. Because it is told that the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. A woman is to bear a child of a good man, if she receives a good man. If she receives a king, then she’ll have a prince. If she receives the Mafia, then she’ll have the Mafia, a prince of the satanic world.
I would like to explain this.
<265-269> “There were five men and one woman. So do you think God knowing the value of it could be relieved or not? You think about it! Can God be relieved of the woman?”
Heavenly Father created three angels before creating the universe and human beings. Of course, God has a feminine and a masculine nature, but True Father said that God is a father. (So) God and the 3 angels were the men. Gabriel, Lucifer, Michael and Adam were all male.
According to True Father, in the beginning there was a competition of love between (these) five men centered on Eve. They were the three male angels, Adam, and God.
In such an environment, God said that in order to protect Eve, He gave the commandment not to eat the forbidden fruit.
That is why Heavenly Father was desperate to perfect Eve, (telling her) not to eat the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil. However, Eve could not fulfill her portion of responsibility.
For a Good Baby to Be Produced, It Depends on Jeongseong Conditions Offered by the Parents
A woman is to bear a child of a good man, if she receives a good man. If she receives a king, then she’ll have a prince. If she receives the Mafia, then she’ll have the Mafia, a prince of the satanic world.
For a good baby to be produced, it depends on Jeongseong conditions offered by the parents.
In the past, one of the Korean traditions is that a couple devoted 100 days of devotion together to have a good baby. Turns out, there was a scientific basis for that. Let me explain.
1. It takes 1 year before a mother gives birth to a baby.
2. Period that sperm is produced: 72 days
It takes 72 days to produce the sperm. If you have a relationship with your spouse, when the man’s sperm emerges, (that sperm) began to form 72 days (before that moment). That is why in order to have a good baby, you need to prepare for more than 72 days beforehand.
3. Period that egg is produced: 28 days. Total 72+28=100
The husband and wife together offer jeongseong for 100 days. Koreans create that kind of 100-day jeongseong before having a baby, creating unity between husband and wife. This is incredible! I found out why a couple does this 100-day jeongseong condition.
4. If a baby is conceived, the period that a baby stays in the mother’s womb will be 265 days.
5. If you add 100 days, which is the period of time that sperm and eggs are produced, to 265 days which is the period of time that a baby stays in the mother’s womb, you get 365 days (1 year).
Of course, (the length of time) is sometimes a bit different.
6. If you want to give birth to a good child, you as a couple need to set a condition for 100 days, that is, 72 days which is the period of time for sperm to be produced plus 28 days which is the period of time for the egg to be produced, and then have sexual relations.
In order to produce a good quality baby seed, the husband and wife need to have jeongseong – not just getting excited physically and having a relationship and having a baby. That is not so great. You need to invest in jeongseong for a minimum of 100 days, right? The husband and wife hand in hand (should) pray, “Heavenly Father, we really want to produce a good-quality baby.” If you invest such jeongseong and prayer conditions, it can really help so much.
Our second generation may think, “Oh, without the Three-Day Ceremony I can start family any time...” Of course, you can start family any time, but jeongseong is very important. Your powerful jeongseong cleans your body, cleans your blood lineage. “This baby does not belong to me. It is God’s seed. This wise(?) baby comes out and connects to my descendants.” How important it is to produce a good quality baby as God’s seed!
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: Now, All That Remains is Practice
It All Comes Down to Your Children Through Yourself
1. All problems come down to you, come down to your spouse, and ultimately come down to your children. In this way, everything is connected through the blood lineage and goes down to the children. If you become an excellent mother, you will have excellent children. Isn’t this something you have heard so much that your ears ache? But what do you think now that you’ve been living? The most difficult relationship is the couple. Because they are so close, the standards easily fall. Isn’t that a big deal? We lose our standards between husband and wife, and then we become capricious with each other. That is being fallen people. That is why all that remains is practice. Why? It is because we know everything now. After hearing the Word, we have learned everything about how to have a parent-child relationship, siblings’ relationship, and husband and wife relationship. We know what kind of attitude of heart we should have.
All problems come down to you finally, come down to your spouse, come down to your children, and furthermore, come down to your descendants.
In this way, everything is connected through the blood lineage and goes down to the children. Therefore, my problems do not end as my own problems, but it all comes down to my spouse, children, and descendants.
Therefore, if you resolve your own problems, it has a positive effect on your spouse, children, and descendants, but on the contrary, it can also affect them in a bad way.
So, first, my standards are important and secondly, we need to set new standards between husband and wife. Then, that is automatically connected to your children. For example, if I cannot control my fallen nature, it immediately affects my spouse and my descendants will genetically inherit that fallen nature.
Those who have already experienced married life may know, but among relationships, the most difficult relationship is that between the couple. It is most difficult because the children directly inherit the husband and wife’s problems.
Therefore, the couple that is the closest to each other should set the standards of victory. Because they are so close, the standards easily fall. If you lose the standard of truth between the husband and wife, where else can you find those standards?
Now, All That Remains is Practice
2. If all principles were revealed through the Divine Principle and the Word, now all that remains is practice. What more can you say to someone who only knows in their head but does not put it into practice? If you only know but do not put it into practice, you will only receive punishment or anger from Heaven. If you do not practice despite having learned well through the Word, you will be struck in the spirit world. More indemnity will follow. More paths of trials will come. Even though we were taught everything, if we do whatever we want, we will be beaten with a stick by the spirit world. Look at the history of the Israelites. Even though God showed everything through Moses, didn’t they die and get eaten by vultures because they did not listen? Rather, if they did not know anything, the spirit world would not be able to say that they did wrong. If you look at the history of the Israelites, even if God showed and taught the chosen people first, if they do not listen, He strikes the chosen people first.
We who live in the era of Cheon Il Guk have learned all principles through the Divine Principle and the Word. Now, all that remains is putting it into practice. The important thing is if you only know but do not put it into practice, you will only receive punishment or anger from Heaven.
God showed signs and miracles through Moses so they would all have faith and showed and taught every thing through Moses’ life, but because they did not lis ten, they all died in the wilderness and were eaten by vultures.
Rather, if you don't know anything like a stranger, the spiritual world can work and teach you (about your) wrongdoings. However, if Heaven already showed everything and taught enough through the central figure, but they disbelieved and did not follow, God first struck the chosen people.
We learned this through God’s providence of restoration already.
Unificationists are Actually in the Position of Being More Falsely Charged Than Past Chosen People
3. If you look at God’s history of restoration, even though God showed everything and taught people through prophets to make them realize, when they did not listen to what they learned and put them into practice, God was angered and struck the chosen people, such as making them die in the wilderness or exiling them to Babylon. Actually, our Blessed Unification Church members should be more careful than any other chosen people of the past. We Unificationists met True Parents and were educated in more detail than any other people in the Old Testament Age or New Testament Age. True Parents showed us directly as a model. Therefore, if our Unification Church members do not put the Word into Practice, ancestors of the past chosen people will emerge and accuse us. They will accuse, “If I met True Parents like you did and learned about the Principle and was taught in detail like you, I would not act like the way you are now!”
If you look at God’s history of restoration, even though God showed everything and taught people through prophets to make them realize, when they did not listen to what they learned and put them into practice, God was angered and struck the chosen people.
Our Blessed Unification Church members should be more careful than any other past chosen people. Since God’s Providence of Restoration began, there have been no other people who have been educated in this much detail more than our Unification church members.
Can you imagine? In the Old Testament Era and New Testament Era, who has known the Divine Principle more than we do? True Parents have taught us very clearly in detail. Now it is almost two years since we started Morning Devotion. God has taught us very clearly through True Parents’ word and the Divine Principle – more than at Noah’s time, more than at Abraham’s time, more than at Jacob’s and Moses’ time, more than at Jesus’ time. Wow! Such detail! What is our portion of responsibility? We really need to practice (what we been taught).
True Parents showed us directly as a model. Therefore, if our Unification Church members do not put the Word into Practice, ancestors of the past chosen people will emerge and accuse us. They will accuse, “If I had met True Parents as you did and had learned about the Principle and was taught in detail as you (were), I would not act like the way you are now!”
Surely they will accuse us. That is why now let’s really take action. Let’s really practice. Nobody can help you. Your practice is your portion of responsibility. We have listened and listened, then what should we do? We need to take action.
The Reason the Holy Spirit Cannot Help Us
4. Actually, compared to the chosen people of the Providence of Restoration, our position in the Unification Church can actually anger God even more. Our position is more dangerous. That is why we have nothing to say compared to our ancestors of the past. We have learned all the laws of indemnity through the Divine Principle. We have attended workshops countless times and read and heard the Word countless times. We have learned how we should manage our hearts. We also know our value well. When families that have realized this and received the Blessing reach the goal, all that remains is practice. Even God has nothing more to say. Even True Parents have nothing more to say. That is why even the Holy Spirit cannot help us. The Holy Spirit can emerge and help in an environment with no one to teach them and with no Abel figure, but we are people who directly learned from True Parents.
If we compare ourselves to our ancestors of the past, we have nothing to say. We have learned all the laws of indemnity through the Divine Principle and workshops.
Now that we have received the Blessing and reached the goal of realizing the family, all that is left is putting it into practice. Even God has nothing more to say.
Since we have seen and been educated through True Parents, who are beings greater than the Holy Spirit, even the Holy Spirit cannot help us.
Before True Parents came, the Holy Spirit led people to meet them, right? But we have learned from the True Parents directly, more than (we could have learned from) the Holy Spirit, right?
The Holy Spirit can emerge and help in an environment with no one to teach them and with no Abel figure and no one to guide them, but we are people who directly learned from True Parents.
That is why, just as it says in the Family Pledge, we are owners of Cheon Il Guk.
Since this is the age of love, no one (else) is responsible for me and (for) my (spouse) and me. Therefore, as owners of the era of Cheon Il Guk, we must take responsibility for all problems. The owner is responsible for any problems first.
I have to go out with a sense of ownership that I take responsibility for my family, my spouse, my children, and go further and take responsibility for the problems of True Parents and God.
We are responsible not only for my own family, but I need to be responsible to liberate God and even True Parents. This is our portion of responsibility. It is very serious compared to (that of) other central figures, okay?
Today was a little bit of a heavy topic, but sometimes we need to realize that we really need to practice what we have learned.
Today I talked about “Now, All That Remains is Practice.”
Let’s really practice. Let’s really break through. Let’s really bring three spiritual children. Let’s really study the Divine Principle again, become the embodiment of God’s word and bring substantial results in front of God. Let’s not just listen, but let’s practice.
