Key Points
True Parents liked putting the words “world peace” in the name of any organization they created. They are the saviors who came to realize world peace.
If you are a peacemaker, you will be persecuted, but nonetheless rejoice and love those who persecute you. Then you will be called sons and daughters of God.
Just as clay in the hands of the potter cannot claim what kind of vessel it wants to become, in order for fallen man, the wild olive tree, to be engrafted to the true olive tree, he needs to deny his fallen-nature-centered self 100%.
In order to save fallen humans, the Savior must come as the True Olive Tree. This is the core of Christian thought.
Through the Blessing, fallen man, the wild olive tree, has to be completely cut off and engrafted onto True Parents, the true olive tree. He must completely cut off false life, love, and lineage and transform them into true life, love, and lineage.
How did Father know about Jesus’ sorrowful circumstances and heart of being unable to say things, without being caught up in the knowledge and texts of the Bible? He looked from the perspective of Jesus’ heart. Similarly, he learned all about God’s han, sorrow, suffering, and circumstance by entering the world of God’s heart and experiencing it.
Those with knowledge, money and power are bound by these things and cannot grow.
In order to know the course of God’s providence of restoration, the central figures’ circumstances and Jesus’ circumstances, we need to pass through their world of heart.
Heart is deeper than love.
For our life of faith to be motivated and lively, we need to always focus on the heart and cut out preconceived notions and habitual thinking and responses.
With preconceptions we tend to see people as the people we knew before and remember their previous faults. This prevents us from growing and deadens our spirit.
Considering the shortcomings of others as our own shortcomings and feeling their pain stimulates our heart to love them. Then we can realize we also have faults and grow a parental heart.
Because of parental heart, parents continually forget the shortcomings of their children and experience their children’s pain as their own pain. It is the same for God.
We should avoid criticizing others, not for their sake, but because it withers and hardens our heart and deadens our spirit.
A living person meets the same people every day and still feels happy as if it’s the first time they meet and avoids reliving yesterday. He sees others’ faults as his own, feels their pain, even sheds tears for them and longs for them.
Greet people with a big smile and delighted heart, even if you don’t feel like it. Then you can grow. Abel is the one who greets and smiles first.

(Response to sharing) The more we know the reality of God, my goodness, God’s misery, sorrowful heart, suffering, it is incredible. He cannot give up. His nature is (such that), no matter what, he has to love, give, invest and sacrifice. Just now Angelica prayed how could he endure like that. Such a sorrowful, suffering God! That is why we are the ones who really need to understand God’s heart and really comfort and console our Heavenly Parent.♦
I am so excited to see our Rebecca’s face. Such a beautiful face!
Today I’d like to talk about “World Peace and the Role of Women 2” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
<This speech was given at the founding rally of the Women's Federation for World Peace in Japan and at rallies between September 24 and October 6, 1992 for Koreans residing in Japan> This is the reason that Reverend Moon teaches Godism, which is also referred to as head-wing thought. Despite having had to undergo every imaginable form of suffering, he has opened a new horizon of victory, one that enables humanity to find solutions to the problems of the world. His message is that the gates to a peaceful world will be opened only when humanity recovers its relationship with God and re-establishes original, ideal families. I'm not talking only about the United States; I'm also talking about Russia, which has been controlled by atheistic communism. There, large numbers of young people and intellectuals are studying head-wing thought, which is opening their eyes to the existence of God and the ideal of a true family.
Whether we are concerned with racial discord, violence, conflict between the rich and the poor, destruction of the environment, or even the selfishness exhibited by countries and peoples, we can begin to work out the solutions to the world's problems only after we have been trained within the environment of the ideal family in the practice of true love—that is, the love that seeks to sacrifice oneself for the sake of others. To bring Godism into reality, Reverend Moon has made efforts in a wide variety of fields. Using the Unification Church as a foundation, he has established the International Conference on the Unity of the Sciences, the Professors World Peace Academy, the World Media Conference, the Summit Council for World Peace, the Global Congress of Religions, the Federation for World Peace, the Interreligious Federation for World Peace, the World Collegiate Association for the Research of Principles (W-CARP), the World University Federation, various international performing arts groups and many other organizations. Each of these organizations holds as its ideal and purpose the building of a world of peace centered on God.
Reverend Moon, who has devoted his heart and soul to the realization of world peace through the establishment of ideal families, was also the central figure in the establishment of the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia and the Women's Federation for World Peace. In addition, he has founded the House of Unification for World Peace in order to bring together the efforts that are already in existence in each country around the world. No one can deny that Reverend Moon has established an extensive foundation for activities in a wide range of fields, connecting to top figures in religion, philosophy, academia, media, education, science and culture. When all these different fields join forces and begin to step forward as one, the world of peace that has been the object of our desires surely will appear before our eyes. True love, by its nature, perpetually seeks to give and to sacrifice for the sake of others. True love allows no concept of an enemy.
True Parents have established numerous peace organizations for world peace, including the Family Federation for World Peace, Women’s Federation for World Peace, Professors World Peace Academy, the World Summit, Federation for World Peace, Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace (IRFWP), and the Universal Peace Federation and so on.
True Parents liked putting the words “world peace” in the name of any organization they created. Even looking at this alone, it cannot be denied that True Parents are the saviors who came to realize world peace.
In Matthew 5:9-12 (Jesus) says, “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”
Matthew 5:9-12 Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Do you want to be called sons and daughters of God? Then Jesus said, “You have to be peacemakers.”
In order to be peacemakers you will be persecuted. People (will) insult you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you.
However you need to overcome and rejoice and be glad and still love them, then you can become peacemakers.
Jesus went through all kinds of situations. Also, True Father.
Who can be called God’s sons and daughters? You have to be peacemakers. In order to be peacemakers, you need to be prepared (for) all kinds of persecution and misunderstandings. Wow! How much our father was persecuted and misunderstood. Jesus (as well). Throughout human history all saints and sages went through this kind of process. It is not a simple matter to become peacemakers.
Our True Father established so many organizations centered on world peace. How can we deny that Father Moon and Mother Moon are the saviors and messiahs. Once again I really appreciate the effort and hard work of our True Parents in order to create a peaceful world.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Fall - 2. The Tree of Life (1)
• According to the Bible, the hope of fallen people is to attain the tree of life. In Prov. 13:12, the Israelites of the Old Testament Age looked to the tree of life as their hope. Likewise, in Rev. 22:14, the hope of all Christians has been to approach and partake of the tree of life.
• However, in Gen. 3:24, it is written that when Adam fell, God blocked his path to the tree of life by stationing the cherubim with a flaming sword to guard it. From this, we can also deduce that the hope of Adam before the fall was the tree of life.
• Adam was cast out of the Garden of Eden without having attained his hope, the tree of life. For fallen people ever since, the tree of life has remained a hope unfulfilled.
Let’s study Father’s word.
To be Engrafted
<9-238> Due to the fall, human beings inherited the different blood, so they are the wild olive trees. Thus, the direct son who can respond to and harmonize with God like his bone marrow, and the son who can be called God’s own flesh and blood must appear. Then the whole humanity is to absolutely obey the son. The wild olive tree must be cut to be engrafted to the true olive tree.
The Bible compares Jesus to a true olive tree and fallen man to wild olive trees. But in order for the wild olive tree to be engrafted to the true olive tree, it must be completely cut down.
That means that fallen men need to completely deny themselves 100%. It means that they have to deny their fallen-nature-centered selves 100%. This means that if there is even the slightest element in yourself that is centered on fallen nature, you can never be engrafted.
This is like the parable of the potter and the clay in the Bible. If the potter is God, then the clay is like fallen man. No matter what kind of vessel a potter makes with clay, a fallen man in the same position as clay cannot claim what kind of vessel he wants to be. The clay must completely leave itself to the potter. He will never be able to assert himself.
Just as the clay is completely in the hands of a potter, a fallen man must deny himself in order to be grafted onto a true olive tree.
How can we be Engrafted
<16-120> Then how can we be engrafted well? Jesus says, “I am the true olive tree and you are wild olive trees.” When engrafted, which one is to be cut? The wild tree is to be cut. Perfectly denied. To do that, the bottom part of the wild olive tree should be cut, so that even not a single branch of the side part can grow up. And after cutting it, what to do? Borrow one branch of a true olive tree and engraft it with our utmost heart (Jeong Seong). To believe is to be engrafted to the true olive tree. That’s because we had become the sons of evil, that is, the wild olive trees, after failing to become God’s sons of goodness who can start as an eternal true olive tree.
The fallen people are born to be the wild olive trees. They are not to fulfill the original purpose of creation. That’s why they have to follow the way of the true olive tree that aims at one purpose and should inherit from a branch of the true tree, then to be engrafted to it. That’s because Christianity is true. All the people living in this world did not start from God of good but from evil. Therefore, all should be cut and be engrafted to a branch of good true olive tree. Then the idea of second advent and that of Messiah, in other words the thought of the Savior that can save all the people, must emerge.
Look at this, the true olive tree and the wild olive tree. In order for the wild olive tree to be engrafted onto the true olive tree, you do not just cut off any one part, but the body of the wild olive tree has to be completely cut off from the stump.
What makes Christianity great is that it had this engrafting idea. This engrafting idea is the idea of the Savior.
Therefore, in order to save fallen humans and the world, the Savior who can save them must come as the True Olive Tree. This is the core of Christian thought. It is an amazing thought or idea that cannot be found in any other religion.
That is why we know that God is really guiding the mainstream, Christianity. This theory and idea is incredible guidance by our Heavenly Parent.
As shown in this picture, the wild olive tree, which is fallen man, has to be completely cut off and be engrafted onto the true olive tree, which is True Parents. This engrafting is none other than the Blessing.
In other words, fallen men, born as wild olive trees, must completely cut off false life, false love, and false lineage, and receive the Blessing by being engrafted onto True Parents and change into true life, true love, and true lineage.
You must understand the meaning of the Blessing, how incredible it is! We are fallen men, wild olive trees. (We need to) completely deny 100%, completely cut off the (trunk) of the wild olive tree. Then we need to borrow from the true olive tree. That is the Blessing.
The more I study the Bible, it is incredible how God has been guiding human beings centered on Judaic and Christian theory. This is the mainstream.
We need to understand the meaning of the Blessing; we need to know the reality of the fall. We need to understand the reality of the fallen blood lineage. In order to cut off our fallen blood lineage, we need to receive the Blessing and meet the messiah. The messiah comes as the representative (of heaven?), the true olive tree.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: Always Stand in the Position and Heart of an Owner
1. True Father read the Bible with a heart of pity in the position of an owner that said, “If I were Jesus….” With such heart of an owner, he read Luke 12:49 (“I came to cast fire upon the earth, and how I wish it were kindled already!”) and understood Jesus’ circumstance of being unable to say things. However, many scholars were caught up in the text of this Bible, and their relationship with God rather became distant. As they were caught up in the knowledge and texts of the Bible, they could not know about Jesus, who was unable to say things. Those who are bound to the Bible today and believe in the literal interpretation do not know the will of God. In this way, when we are caught up in knowledge, we stop there. Those with knowledge are bound by knowledge, those with money are bound by money, and those with power are bound by power. Then the person is bound there and cannot grow any more.
True Father read the Bible with a heart of pity in the position of an owner that said, “If I were Jesus…”. But how did True Father know all about Jesus’ circumstance and difficulties of being unable to say things? What was his secret?
How did Father know about Jesus’ sorrowful circumstances and heart without being caught up in the knowledge and texts of the Bible like other Bible scholars?
What is the answer to that? In short, he looked from the perspective of Jesus’ heart. If you enter the world of the heart like this, you will see through everything.
How did Father know all about God’s han, sorrow, suffering, and circumstance of being unable to say things? That was possible because Father entered the world of God’s heart and experienced God’s heart.
However, as many scholars were caught up in the text of the Bible, they could not know about Jesus, who was unable to say things.
Then what can be done in this situation? Ultimately, you need to dig into (the) world of heart.
In order to know the course of God’s providence of restoration, the central figures’ circumstances, and Jesus’ circumstance, without passing through their world of heart, there will surely be limitations.
Faith and hope and love.
Heart is deeper than love. The final stage is love and heart. This is an important point.
The Reason We Cannot Be Motivated or Lively People
2. People need to be motivated and lively to be people who are alive. Preconceived notion is thinking that since you did something in such a way before, it will be the same this time. If you get caught up in such preconceived notions, you will die. That is why habits until this day become a problem. Problems arise because fallen humans always view people with their preconceived notions or own past experiences. When they see people, they see them as the people they knew before, or if they have faults, they remember those faults and treat them accordingly. These preconceived notions ultimately prevent us from growing. However, if I consider the faults of others as my faults and think of their shortcomings as my own shortcomings and feel pain, surprisingly, the will to love that person arises in my heart. Why is that so? It is because through the faults of that person, it makes me realize that I am also a person with faults.
We are talking about heart.
What must be done for our life of faith to be motivated and lively? We need to live by always focusing on the heart.
I must always try to make my heart spring up voluntarily. When my heart springs up, my entire life is grateful, thankful, motivated, and lively.
The question is: why can’t fallen man be heartistic? It is because fallen man always lives consumed with preconceived notions or are habitual.
Preconceptions and the habitual life really block our heart. That is a problem. (It is) one of the serious problems of fallen man. We have preconceptions, preconceived notions, and we are always thinking habitually. Today is the same as yesterday and the day before yesterday. ... Same guy, same wife, same children, same husband, same sun, same moon. These kinds of habitual concepts and thinking and preconceived notions really block our heart to enter God’s heart.
When you have the preconceived notion “Since I did it this way before, it will be the same this time,” whatever you see is not new at all. Preconceived notions are like trying to fill an empty bottle with water with the lid closed.
Once fallen human beings are caught up in their preconceived notions, it is like they are seeing everything while wearing sunglasses.
When they see people, they see them as the people they knew before, or if they have faults, they remember those faults and treat them accordingly.
When preconceived notions enter you, there is no freshness and no vitality in life. In the end, these preconceived notions prevent us from growing and they drive our spirits down the path of death.
However, if I consider the faults of others as my faults and think of their shortcomings as my own shortcomings and feel pain, surprisingly, the will to love that person arises in my heart.
Why do parents forget their children’s faults and shortcomings so easily? Because of the heart of the parent – digesting and forgetting children’s shortcomings. When children feel pain, their parents immediately feel it as their own pain.
Why is that so? It is because through the faults of that person, it makes me realize that I am also a person with faults.
That’s why we need to have a parental heart. How can God forget all of human beings’ shortcomings and faults and problems? Because God has the heart of a parent. He forgets and forgets and gives (more) opportunities. Also, he never gives up. “Even though you are a fallen man, someday you can be a good guy. Someday you will come back to me.”
How can we have such a heart of parents? For a fallen man, it is difficult. When you see someone’s faults, you remember (them) continuously.
Living Person and Dead Person
3. If I think of others’ fault as their own fault, it puts a bad stigma about them in my heart. Then, whenever I see that person, I will deal with them while remembering their faults, so I eventually die. So if I remember the fault of others, I eventually die. In the end, don’t you suffer loss? The person who lives heartistically with a motivated heart without preconceived notions and certain habits is a living person. Then isn’t a person who meets the same people every day and still feels happy as if it’s the first time they meet considered a living person? The life of a dead person is one who lives as if it was yesterday. They are not happy even when they see each other. That is why they are dead. So, anyone can be alive if they have a spark in their heart, sees others’ faults as their own, and shed tears and suffers with them.
Therefore, never see others badly. If I see others badly, in the end, my own spirit becomes bad. The reason we are told not to criticize others is because my heart becomes hardened and withered because of my criticizing.
So, saying not to criticize for the sake of the other person is not because of the other person, but because of me.
If I criticize someone, my heart becomes very bad.
If I think of others’ fault as their own fault, it puts a bad stigma about them in my heart. Then, whenever I see that person, I will deal with them while remembering their faults, so I eventually die. So if I remember the fault of others, I eventually die.
Fallen men can only see fallen men’s weak points. If you are a good guy, you can only see someone’s good points. If you are a bad guy, you see someone’s bad points. How about you? We are fallen men. It is easy to criticize, to see someone’s faults and remember (them). But when you recover your original mind and become a good guy, you can only see someone’s good points – more than bad points. Why do you easily criticize? (Why does) your heart become dry? Because you are full of fallen nature. If I remember the faults of others, I will surely die. My heart becomes very dry.
Then what kind of a person is a living person? It is the person who meets the same people every day and still feels happy as if it’s the first time they meet. The life of a dead person is one who lives as it was yesterday. They are not happy even when they see each other.
Are you are living people? Or dead people? A living person always has delight. He longs for people. Even if they always see them, it feels like meeting for the first time. That is why whenever you meet people, you need to greet them with a big smile and delighted heart.
When you see people, you need a big smile: “How are you?” “Good Morning!” “Good afternoon!” This is important. Every morning, even though you heart is not easy, (say it) more loudly! And greet them with a delighted heart. Then your evil spirits immediately go away. If whenever you greet people with a big smile even though your mood is not good, you put (in) more heart with a big smile and delighted heart, “Good Morning!” then your negative and evil spirit goes away.
And since a living person sees things with a spark in their heart, they see others’ faults as their own, and sheds tears and suffers pain because of those faults.
That is why greetings are very important – not just as an external habit: “Good morning, good afternoon” without any smile.
Even pretending is OK. I would suggest that even though your heart and mood are not good, if you (invest) your effort and show your smile – even by force – your motivation is good because you are trying to change your heart and mind with a good smile and speaking louder: “Good morning, Heavenly Green, Heavenly Honey!” Then the atmosphere immediately changes.
Who is more Abel? The one who greets first. Who greets first and smiles first is Abel. Koreans, Japanese and Germans have too serious a face!
How can we develop our heart? We need to think “Your life begins with greeting (starting in) the morning with a big smile.” That is why I try to show my smile from the beginning. Then (for) the entire day my life becomes grateful and thankful, so happy and I can overcome any sort of bad situation. Your day needs to begin with a big smile.
Today, I spoke with the title, “Always Stand in the Position and Heart of an Owner.”
