God can restore fallen human beings because we have a conscience.
Original human nature always makes humans have good intentions toward God.
Our conscience works to move us toward good and never gives up.
When we witness, we should believe that every person has a good conscience and a heart to seek God, and appeal to his conscience.
Now is the time to bring yourself to fruition.
If children value their relationships in school more than those in the family, they easily ignore the relationship with their own parents.
Parents should look at and care for their children’s emotional standards during their growth stage and set an example for them.
If parents move their children, their children will value their relationship with their parents the most, no matter how close they may be with their teachers and friends at school.
Divine Principle education and Hoondok education are important.
You have to sow filial piety to reap filial piety.
The power of hope is the heart of being grateful to yourself. If you are sincere in everything, you will eventually be grateful for yourself.
We need to gain strength from being faithful in doing the smallest things first.
If we do everything with sincerity, our heart will be stimulated on its own and we will act voluntarily. We will not be controlled by challenges and we will always go forward with a spirit of ownership and with a happy heart.
You can bear beautiful fruit on your own if you always fulfill your responsibilities with a sincere and voluntary heart.
If you are sincere, God will teach you in detail about right and wrong, where to go and what to do through your original mind.

(Response to sharing) Don’t worry about cancer. Everybody dies in the end. I think we can overcome (it) through appreciation and loving and caring for each other. Appreciation can cure all kinds of cancer. I think we (can) be more grateful and more caring and loving for each other. The power of love and appreciation is so great!
When I was in Alaska, I read one sentence of Father’s word. I was so inspired by that content. Father said, “Do you know how to bring unity between mind and body? Unity between mind and body begins with appreciation.” The more you appreciate, (the more) all kinds of complaint and dissatisfaction disappear one by one. That is why Father said, “Unity between mind and body begins with appreciation.” The more you appreciate, the brighter, more positive and aggressive your spiritual life becomes. You can go forward. Appreciation is very powerful.♦
Yesterday, we had a special event, “Celebration of Eternal Love,” in Newark. We gave awards to couples who had been married for more than 20 years. About 150 people gathered, and 23 couples received rewards. It was a really beautiful event.
I gave a special message regarding the importance of the marriage Blessing and invited them to our future events.
These people are some awardees. One couple had maintained their marriage for 65 years. Everyone appreciated and enjoyed each other.
We took a group photo.
Noah Ross gave a special presentation, and Honorable Wayne, the mayor of Irvington, Newark, also receive an award, and he gave a beautiful special message.
I was inspired by Noah Ross’ presentation. It was not so long but very professional. I love the way he explained it, and I love his beautiful face!
President Naokimi introduced our Blessing, the 40 day separation, and the 3 day ceremony, as well as our upcoming events, the October 2 event.
Then, all the couples danced together, and it was a very beautiful moment.
I really appreciate all the organizers and staff, EJ and the ethnic group leaders and Takino-san. I appreciate all of you.
Today I’d like to talk about “Women Will Play a Leading Role in the Ideal World 2” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
<This speech was given at Women's Federation for World Peace rallies held between June 10 and June 30, 1992 in 40 cities, counties and districts throughout Korea> To save someone suffering from an illness, you need to discover the cause of that illness. Similarly, for human society to be liberated from the anguish of sin and misery, we need to discover the fundamental cause of this sin and misery. The fundamental cause is the original sin, which came from the Fall of our first ancestors. Unless the cause of the original sin is eliminated, the roots of sin and misery cannot be uprooted from the human world. No matter how many prominent figures, heroes, sages, scholars and politicians appear with methods such as reforming the constitution or implementing morality education, without clarifying the human Fall, it will be impossible for them to right this world. These approaches will prove useless, because the fundamental roots of sin and misery will be left untouched and will continue to sprout.
Religion teaches us that human beings have fallen and discloses the details of this Fall, thereby letting us know both directly and indirectly about God's providence to save humankind completely from sinfulness. That is why religions are the most constructive method for transforming this sinful world into a world of goodness and saving it. The Korean word for “religion,” jonggyo, is formed using the Chinese characters jong, meaning “the top,” and gyo, meaning “to teach.” This means that the word religion signifies the highest thought of all education and teachings. Transcending age and environment, the teachings of all religious founders have served as the driving force for protecting conscience and morality and developing culture. Accordingly, all religions are co-workers and collaborators in ending the world of sinfulness and constructing the ideal world desired by God and humankind. Among the scriptures that reveal God's providence of salvation most plainly is the Christian Bible.
The fundamental cause of human sin and misery is the original sin, which came from the Fall of our first ancestors. Unless the cause of the original sin is eliminated, the roots of sin and misery cannot be uprooted from the human world.
Therefore, even with methods such as reforming the constitution or implementing morality education, without clarifying the human Fall, it will be impossible to right this world. There is no cure for this illness.
The problem is that although religion talks about human sin and unhappiness, it does not clearly teach us that human beings have fallen, so the world is getting more and more confused.
Therefore, in order to solve humankind’s sins and misfortunes, the mission of religion is first to be able to teach the existence of God logically, theoretically, scientifically, and emotionally.
Whenever we teach the Divine Principle, the most important thing we need to teach is that God is a reality, not just a concept. He does exist.
The existence of God is a reality. God is reality. God is alive. We must teach them clearly that God is a God who lives and works, and is the God who reigns and claims the providence.
Secondly, we must clearly teach the true identity of Satan by revealing the human fall.
Even though we may emphasize so much that God exists and the savior, the messiah, but we seldom emphasize the true identity of Satan.
Satan surely exists. Satan is so real and a reality. I need to make it clear that Satan is always trying to control me through evil spirits 24 hours a day. Whenever I do not rule my own body, it makes me a slave to sin all the time.
That is why you need to be tense. You have to prepare your heart to overcome your physical desires. If you are too relaxed and not so serious about that, if you do not prepare how to fight with your own physical body, then Satan immediately attacks. This is reality. We are fighting every moment, every second, every day. Satan is so real, and he is really reality. Father said that fallen man is influenced by evil spirits, evil ancestors. Who is the substance of evil spirits? That is Satan.
That’s why we need to teach our children Satan does exist. When you do wrong things, behind them are evil ancestors, evil spirits because of Satan. We need to teach them the identity of Satan.
When we teach the Divine Principle , (it needs to be) very clear teaching, not just about external happenings and external opinions. What is behind them? Satan is working. We need to understand through Chapter One that God is a reality. Secondly, Satan is a reality. Where God is (present), Satan is (present) as well. Where there is Satan, there is God as well. This is very important. In order to win over our physical limitations, in order to win over evil spirits, we need to know that Satan does exist.
Third, we must make clear why the Savior must come to save fallen humans.
We must know that no man, nor the world, can be saved by fallen human strength, wisdom, or knowledge. If that had been possible, the ideal world would have already arrived.
The world (actually) is becoming more confused and chaotic. That means that in the past all the theory and principle, everything centered on human beings, could not solve any problems. That is why we need to find new tools. We need to wait for the savior and have nothing to do with fallen nature. It is very important when we teach the Divine Principle .
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Principle of Creation 66 – The Human Heart as Viewed through the Spiritual and Physical Minds
• The relationship between the spirit mind and the physical mind is like that between internal nature and external form. When they become one through give and take action with God as their center, they form a united functioning entity which guides the spirit self and physical self to become harmonious and progress toward the purpose of creation. This united entity is the mind of a human being.
• The conscience is that faculty of the human mind which, by virtue of its inborn nature, always directs us toward what we think is good.
• However, as the standard of goodness in fallen human beings varies, the standard of their conscience also fluctuates; this causes frequent contention even among those who advocate a conscientious life.
• The original mind is that faculty of the human mind which pursues absolute goodness. The original mind relates to the conscience as internal nature to external form.
• A person's conscience directs him to pursue goodness according to the standard he has set up in ignorance, even though it may differ from the original standard. However, the original mind repels this faulty standard and works to correct the conscience.
• As long as our spirit mind and physical mind are under the bondage of Satan, the functioning entity they form through their give and take action is called the evil mind. The evil mind continually drives people to do evil.
• Our original mind and conscience direct us to repel the evil mind. They guide us in desperate efforts to reject evil desires and cling to goodness by breaking our ties with Satan and turning to face God.
Let’s study Father’s word.
The Difference between True and False Shepherds
<10-138> So how can the true and false shepherds be distinguished? How can you tell truth from lies? We cannot come to know the true shepherd all at once. When you meet him for the first time, you feel as though you have met him before. That is your first impression of him. When you meet someone in the search for life, and you are destined to meet that person because of the will, that person will seem familiar to you the first time you meet him. Even though you have never seen him before, he will seem closer to you than anyone you know, even your own brother. That person is the true shepherd, who possesses the character of the true heart, which can arise from two dimensions. Any person who does not possess this character will swindle you.
What is the difference between a true shepherd and a false shepherd? True Father said that you can know through your first impression. When you meet him for the first time, you feel as though you have met him before. Even though you have never seen him before, he will seem closer to you than anyone you know, even your own brother.
The true shepherd gives the feeling of being drawn to an even, flat surface and wanting to get closer to him without realizing it. A true shepherd must have such spiritual authority.
When you meet a true shepherd, you should feel a desire to confess all your past without realizing it, to rely on them, and to discuss everything with them. If a leader doesn’t evoke this feeling in others, it means that the leader is still young in spirit or will only use you at some point.
A true shepherd always tries to take responsibility for you forever.
That is the nature of a true shepherd.
Secondly, they always try to protect you forever and always try to nurture you heartistically.
How can you distinguish a true shepherd from a false shepherd? A true shepherd has that kind of spirit: he is always responsible for you, tries to protect and nurture you all the time. This is the character of the true shepherd.
A true shepherd always treats you unchangingly. True Abel or a true shepherd always try to give you faith and hope, and always love you.
When you see your true Abel and a true shepherd, he always trusts you. You can feel his faith (in) you. And the true Abel always, no matter what, gives you hope and you can always feel his love. This is the true shepherd.
The Original Nature Aims Toward Goodness
<16-106> Ever since the Fall, human beings have needed religion. Humans fell; but deep within our original hearts we possess religion and faith. This is because even before the existence of evil, humans possessed the standard of the chosen people, the standard that can complete God’s Purpose of Creation. We have the original nature within us that is capable of fulfilling the Purpose of Creation. It is this original nature which drives humans to aim towards God, who in turn aims towards the goal of goodness. This is a natural phenomenon. The conscience is established so that it cannot help but move us in the direction of goodness.
God can restore fallen human beings, even if they have Satan's lineage, because every human being has a conscience with the foundation of a good heart. If human beings do not have a conscience, God's providence of restoration is impossible.
As long as human beings have a conscience with a foundation of a good heart, restoration is possible. Original human nature always makes humans have good intentions toward God. It is a natural phenomenon.
Also, our conscience works to compel us to move toward good. It is a fact that the conscience never gives up and is constantly working to keep people good.
Your conscience never gives up on you. Your conscience constantly pushes you on the path of goodness.
Therefore, when we witness, the best way is to absolutely believe that every person has a good conscience and a heart to seek God, and to appeal to that person's conscience and original mind.
Father said that everybody has an original mind and conscience. That is why if a person says, “I do not believe in God; I do not trust God; I do not know the spiritual world.” even if he says this, his original mind and his conscience always seek God (nonetheless). That is why we need to appeal to that person’s conscience and original mind even though he ... does not want to hear and does not have an open heart. We need to believe that his conscience is alive. That is why we need to appeal to that person’s conscience and original mind. It works because each human being has a conscience. Without the conscience it is impossible to restore human beings.

Parent Education of Being a Model to Children
1. If children value their relationships in school more than in the family, they easily ignore the relationship with their own parents. Therefore, parents need to educate their children well by taking a good look at the children’s emotional standards during the growth stage so that they will keep their relationship with parents even more preciously. I will tell you one beautiful story as an example. There is a story about raising three children as filial sons with one towel in a farm village in Korea. It is said that the mother of these three sons waited for her husband to come back from farming and wash his face and hands, and then she gave him a towel without missing a single day for over 30 years since the day she got married. This is a true story about how the children who watched from the sidelines were moved by the sight of their parents respecting each other, and all three children grew up to be filial sons. It is said that after seeing the beautiful model of such parents, the children did not flow towards self-indulgence.

The best education for children is when parents set an example rather than teaching them verbally. As I just told you the story of a couple who raised three children as filial sons, the best education for children is to move them, to touch them, even in the smallest of things.
(If) parents move their children, (their children) will value their relationship with their parents the most, no matter how close they may be with their teachers and friends at school. If we are to raise our own children to be filial to their parents, we should raise them with the same heart and filial piety as we have for our parents.
Why do we, while raising, sacrificing, and investing in our children for 10 to 20 years, eventually lose them to the world's people, the world's environment, and education? In the 5 to 6 (year) period of (the) world’s school education, you lose the 15 to 20 years of nurturing, investing, and sacrificing.
You invest so much, but in 4 to 5 years of university, you will lose your children because of the world’s environment and education. They are influenced by that. They even betray their parents and look down on their parents. My goodness!
Do you not feel injustice when you lose such children in the middle of the world? So the problem is education. We must teach our children thoroughly by showing them thoroughly. This means that your parents' education is lower than the world's.
Divine Principle education and Hoondok education are so important.
If we had not had hoondokhae education in my family, I would have lost all three of my children. Divine Principle education every morning has the power to keep the standard, the value of the Blessing and Divine Principle.
Otherwise, you will be deprived of the world environment and education. If all the education and people in the world are like that, you just ignore it and watch it, you are neglecting your duties as a parent.
Becoming a couple and parents who move their children is a really big task. You have to sow filial piety to reap filial piety.
What is the Power of Hope?
2. It is the same when students study. Students’ attachment, sincerity, and mental attitude for studying are important. What is the power of hope? It is the heart of being grateful to yourself. This comes from a sincere heart. If everyone works with a sincere heart, they will always be faithful and develop. The power of sincerity is the heart of being grateful to yourself. But we often decide what to do, and if it doesn't work out, we quickly lose our strength. So we should not bite off more we can chew, and instead, we need to gain strength from being faithful in what we can do and from the smallest things first. We say be faithful in the smallest things because if you are faithful in even the smallest of things, you can gain strength from it. Also, only when you have gratitude towards yourself can you become a person with a driving force to do something in the future.
The power of hope is the heart of being grateful to yourself. If you are sincere in everything, you will eventually be grateful for yourself. And the power of hope that you don't even know about will arise. As growing organisms always look fresh, those who live with sincerity and gratitude always have a living soul.
If anyone lives with a sincere heart, they will always become a faithful person and always develop and multiply. So we should not bite off more than we can chew and start with what we can do. We need to gain strength from being faithful in doing the smallest things first.
We say be faithful in the smallest things because if we are faithful in even the smallest of things, we can gain strength from it. When we are able to be grateful to ourselves, our spirit bodies appear sacred and appear to have authority and dignity.
Do Everything with a Sincere Heart
3. If you mercilessly deny your wrongdoings but are sincere in even the smallest of things, if you were to become someone who lives for the sake of others, that is something to be very joyful about. However, if you always have wild ideas or sometimes leap in thoughts while making mistakes in the work given to you, then you become false. If you ignore someone who comes dressed in shabby clothes but respectfully treat someone who comes riding in a luxury car, how much of a false person are you? Isn’t changing your attitude depending on the person the same as treating yourself falsely? That is why we must always check how sincere of a person we are. If I do everything with a sincere heart, I become someone full of will all on my own. I must not become someone who moves passively but someone who moves with a voluntary heart.
Now is the Time to Bring Yourself to Fruition
4. Now is the time to bring yourself to fruition. It is no longer the age to believe in someone, depend on them, and like them. No matter how much you believe in God and True Parents, now is the time to do your work faithfully with a voluntary heart and bear fruits on your own. If you do not think of your own work as God-given and do it faithfully, and if there are gaps, you cannot bear fruits of joy. That is why there are many believers, but we do not see people with true faith. Although many people appear to believe and are in a structure of living for the sake of others, there are actually many false people. If you cannot realize that you are not sincere and idle away with insincerity, in the end, you will be discriminated against, feel alienation and displeasure, and complain. Believers of today cannot have upset or displeased hearts. No matter how much you are ignored or treated with contempt by others, you cannot feel such a heart if you know what the spirit of the cross of Jesus is.
If I do everything with sincerity, my heart will be evoked on its own and I will act voluntarily. I become an ambitious person on my own.
No matter what kind of difficult task you take on, you are not controlled by it. You will always go forward with a spirit of ownership and a happy heart.
One of my internal slogans is to believe that sincerity is my savior and act. This is because if you do everything with an extremely sincere heart, you can even move the heart of God.
Father’s slogan is what? Utmost sincerity moves heaven.
People say a puncture comes from a very (small hole). Does a tire puncture not begin from an extremely (small place) such as the eye of a needle?
Now is the time to bring yourself to fruition. It is no longer the age to believe in someone, depend on them, and like them. Now, no matter how much you believe in God and True Parents, if you are not sincere, you cannot bear fruit.
Therefore, it is a time when you can bear beautiful fruit on your own if you always fulfill your responsibilities with a sincere and voluntary heart.
If you are sincere, God will teach you in detail about right and wrong, where to go and what to do through your original mind. The reason Heaven cannot teach you is that you are not sincere and are false.
Therefore, if you think of your own work as God-given and do it faithfully and sincerely, and if there are no gaps, you will surely bear fruits of joy.
A person who is sincere in doing Heaven’s work will not complain under any circumstances. If you are not sincere and there is a gap, you will be discriminated against, and feel alienation and displeasure.
We need to know that. For the past few days I have continuously emphasized the importance of sincerity.
Today I talked about “Now is the Time to Bring Yourself to Fruition.”
