Rather than living centered on conscience alone, we must live centered on the spirit mind attending God directly.
Just as humans have a spirit mind that is the mind of their spirit body, God also has a similar spirit body and spirit mind. When our spirit mind become one with God’s spirit mind, the realm of resonance opens.
Because the grace we receive from the spirit world or God is a one-sided grace, we cannot claim it as our own until we repay it. We have to repay more than we received and pay interest on top of that.
When another person criticizes me, I should reflect on my shortcomings if I have them. If not, I need to try to have better capabilities to clear misunderstandings.
There is no need to criticize or be influenced by someone who persecutes and opposes you. Trying to clarify or justify yourself will not help your life of faith.
The seed of the soul grows only in those who reciprocate love.
The power of faith comes from a vertical relationship stimulated by the Word.
Our individuality cannot mature when we are indebted in love.
The laws of love say that the inner person cannot be healthy if you only receive grace and become indebted.
The best way to repay the grace and love we have received is to practice God’s word, to live for the sake of others and to save people’s souls, that is, to witness.

(Response to sharing) Morning Devotion has become part of the culture of our movement. Also, our hoondokhae reading of the Exposition of the Divine Principle has to be part of the culture of our movement. Thirdly, witnessing should be our culture, not just once a day or once a year. These three things – jeongseong Morning Devotion and prayer, studying the Divine Principle (and witnessing) – should be our beautiful culture.♦
I was really touched by Vera Tsumagari’s heartistic and tearful prayer. I just mentioned that our Morning Devotion has become culture in our American movement. I think this can be one of the beautiful traditions that we should carry on no matter what. Everybody gathers together and shares and listens and learns True Parents’ word.
Today I’d like to talk about “Women Will Play a Leading Role in the Ideal World” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
This speech was given at a national convention for the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia held on November 20, 1991 at the Seoul Olympic Fencing Arena> When you come to possess true love, all sorrows and pain transform into joy within that true love. In other words, true love is the desire of the original nature of humankind. It remains as an absolute authority that is greater than any authority asserted through power, knowledge or money. In this regard, throughout history God's strategy to save humankind and Satan’s strategy to block Him are exactly opposite in nature. God's strategy is to be struck first and then to receive, whereas Satan strikes first and then is dispossessed. Consider the history of the First and Second World Wars and the Cold War. In all of these, the side that struck first had to surrender. However, if someone robs God, God does not kill him and recover what was taken. Even though He has the power to appear imposingly as the master of the universe and strike and take things back by force, He still suffers as He receives the first blow.

To establish the high road of the law of nature, God personally goes to Satan and teaches him to do this and that, just as when a master comes to visit his or her pupil. However, history has shown us that Satan struck the master who went to teach him. Do you know what happens after you are struck? You are eligible to receive recompense for damages. Confucius endured much persecution. Jesus was accused of being a rebel before the Roman Empire and was killed. Only after a long period of history were they acknowledged as saints. Has there ever been anyone recognized as a saint while they were alive on earth? As is apparent, though such saints suffered miserably in their own times, through the progression of historical ages they were elevated. When we apply for recompense, we request a payment over not just ten or twenty years, but over a longer period of time, with interest being added continuously. Calculate how much you would get if you are very patient and wait for thousands of years. With all the interest that would be added in that time, you would have enough money to buy the bank and more.

Now, our Japanese church is facing a lot of persecution at the national level. Being persecuted at the national level means that blessings will come at the national level. All church members around the world should work together and offer many prayers and jeongseong for Japan, the mother country, so that the Japanese unification movement can take place.
No matter how strong the persecution (may be), I strongly believe that God is righteous.
God is alive. If you look at history, the side that strikes first always fails. The heavenly side that is struck first can claim damages several times more than it was struck by evil. If you look at history until now, the more persecuted a religion was, the more they revived. No religions were destroyed. As long as God is with the Unification movement, we will never perish.

Wow! This is very powerful guidance. Even though your child may be an unfilial child and disobeys parents, what is the best way to (bring) your own children to surrender? Through showing a sacrificial life. Do not oppose them. Sacrifice and sacrifice tearfully and serve them. Never think of taking revenge. (Through) this kind of sacrificial, serving life, an unfilial child can come back to his parents’ bosom.
True love does not force the opponent to surrender. True love causes natural submission, even if (one) is hit and sacrifices are made.
This is beautiful guidance. No one has taught us that. Father’s guidance is really amazing, right?
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Principle of Creation 66 – The Human Heart as Viewed through the Spiritual and Physical Minds
• The relationship between the spirit mind and the physical mind is like that between internal nature and external form. When they become one through give and take action with God as their center, they form a united functioning entity which guides the spirit self and physical self to become harmonious and progress toward the purpose of creation. This united entity is the mind of a human being.
• The conscience is that faculty of the human mind which, by virtue of its inborn nature, always directs us toward what we think is good.
• However, as the standard of goodness in fallen human beings varies, the standard of their conscience also fluctuates; this causes frequent contention even among those who advocate a conscientious life.
• The original mind is that faculty of the human mind which pursues absolute goodness. The original mind relates to the conscience as internal nature to external form.
• A person's conscience directs him to pursue goodness according to the standard he has set up in ignorance, even though it may differ from the original standard. However, the original mind repels this faulty standard and works to correct the conscience.
• As long as our spirit mind and physical mind are under the bondage of Satan, the functioning entity they form through their give and take action is called the evil mind. The evil mind continually drives people to do evil.
• Our original mind and conscience direct us to repel the evil mind. They guide us in desperate efforts to reject evil desires and cling to goodness by breaking our ties with Satan and turning to face God.
Father’s word:
If We Become One with the Origin of Our Spirit Mind
<91-142> When the spirit mind sprouts up within us, our body experiences joy and everything follows it. Everything starts to unite automatically. Do you understand? Our biggest problem has been the separation of our mind and body. Is this true or not? (It is true). However, when spiritual energy comes into our body and creates the origin of our spirit mind, our mind and body become one naturally. Unless a revolution occurs at the root, and unless we discover the origin that can rectify everything from the root, we will not be able to realize the ideal. There is no result without a motivating cause. Isn’t that so?
The spirit mind is the place where God dwells. It is a heart that desires to attend God directly. At its core is Hyojeong. So when our spirit mind works properly, our mind and body experience joy. It is a fact that everything automatically unites.
Therefore, rather than living centered on conscience alone, we must live centered on spirit mind of attending God directly. If you live centered on your spirit mind, you will immediately feel spiritual power because you have a desire to have a direct relationship with God and attend Him.
True Father emphasized that the secret of the body and mind becoming one comes when we live with the origin of the spirit mind, which is the mind of the spirit body. Therefore, you should always lead a life of faith that becomes the origin of your spirit mind.
As long as the body and mind are united with the origin of the spirit mind, an unimaginable revolution will take place within the individual.
Even God Possesses a Spirit Mind
<172-85> A resonating power will emerge in time. It is a power loved by God, Adam and Eve. What is the power that is loved by Adam and Eve’s spirit and body, as well as God’s spirit mind and spirit body? It is not knowledge; it is not force; and it is not selfishness. That power is love.
True Father says that just as humans have an invisible spirit body that corresponds to the physical body and a spirit mind that is the mind of their spirit body, God also has a similar spirit body and spirit mind.
Therefore, when our spirit mind become one with God’s spirit mind, the realm of resonance opens, and it becomes an origin where everyone can become one and rejoice. In what can all things, God, and I rejoice at the same time? It is nothing else. It is not knowledge; it is not force; and it is not selfishness. That power is love.
It means that you can make everything powerless with your love for God centered on your spirit mind. The core of the spirit mind that loves God is called Hyojeong.
That is why the word Hyojeong is very powerful. It is the essence of the spirit mind.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: I Must Repay the Grace and Love I Received
Do Not Boast Until You Repay All Debt
1. Among people who look wealthy externally but are actually in a lot of debt and live paying monthly installments, there are those who reveal themselves as being wealthy and boast about it. Even while being heavily indebted, there are people who try to find ways to boast and pretend that what they have is theirs. On the contrary, people who get a house with their own ability and skills do not boast about their own things. Even in the course of faith, there are people who show themselves off or brag to people around them about gifts they received from their Abel or True Parents, claiming it as their own. You cannot boast about things you are indebted to. You cannot just brag without repaying everything you are indebted to and paying interest on top of that. If you received something because you were indebted to it, you cannot claim it as your own until you repay it. If there is a person who claims it as their own before paying off everything they owe, in the spirit world, that person can be called a thief. That is why there are many thieves of grace.
We should not just boast about the grace we have received from God. Because the grace we receive from the spirit world or God is a one-sided grace, you cannot claim it as your own until you repay it. Therefore, you have to repay more than you received and pay interest on top of that.
If you received something because you were indebted to it, you cannot claim it as your own until you repay it. If you do not repay the grace or love you receive from your parents or go further and return more than what you received, you are not a filial child.
Every morning we receive some kind of grace from God. Sometimes we are very inspired (by) True Father’s and Mother’s word and Youth Ministry. When you attend you receive some kind of guidance and grace from the spiritual world . You have not yet paid the price for that, right? That is why that kind of grace is one-sided grace. You need to really something, to repay it. Otherwise, it will just go away. When you repay more than you receive and pay more interest and more benefit, then it belongs to you. That is why when you receive grace without practicing it, without witnessing, without doing something for the sake of others, that grace just goes away. Whenever we receive grace, we need to determine that you will repay (it) and practice it. Then it will really belong to you. That is the important point.
I Must Repay the Grace and Love I Received
2. Life of faith always requires reflecting on myself while living. Even if someone treats me like a thief, there is no need to be conscious of others. If the other person ignores or persecutes me, I reflect on the fact that I have such shortcomings. If not, I need to try to have better capabilities to clear misunderstandings. On the path of faith, just because others call me a thief, there is no need to counter-question or oppose them. There is no need to explain to them whether I am right or wrong. One thing that must be clear is that I must repay the grace and love I received. The seed of the soul grows only in those who reciprocate love. All people have the outward appearance of being human, but those who cannot cultivate the seed of the Word and grow their lives are ambiguous. The lives of such people’s spirits are often empty.
In the life of faith, even if someone treats you as a thief, there is no need to be conscious of others(?). You must reflect on your conscience. (When) another person criticizes me, I (should) reflect on my shortcomings if I have them. If not, I need to try to have better capabilities to clear misunderstandings.
Therefore, there is no need to explain to others that you are right or wrong on the path of faith. My life should not be swayed by others. There is no need to criticize or be influenced by someone who persecutes and opposes me. I just need to be faithful to a life of original nature.
This is very important. (When) someone misunderstands you and persecutes you and insults you if you go to that person and (try to) clarify, “I am not like that. How come you misunderstand me and persecute me and criticize me?” you want to justify (yourself). I am telling you, this will not help you. Just reflect on yourself: “Am I really wrong? Is what he saying really correct? How can I correct myself?” If someone persecutes you and this guy is wrong, that means I need to work harder. This kind of attitude is important. (When you are) persecuted ... (if you) want to clarify, “I am right,” this (does) not help your life of faith.
Another thing that must be clear is that I must repay the grace and love I (have) received. The seed of the soul grows only in those who reciprocate love. The reason why our spiritual life is empty is because we do not reciprocate the love we receive or pay interest.
This is important guidance.
Be Faithful to the Life of Original Nature Through the Parent-Child Relationship with God
3. We must live a life of faith that carries True Parents' words and makes our hearts always rejoice and be moved. Each day must be a life of making the Word the nourishment of my life, gaining strength in my heart through the Word, and gaining strength in faith through the Word. Therefore, we are the ones who need to be faithful to the life of our original nature through education of the Word, immediately establish a parent-child relationship between God and me each day and regard this relationship as life wherever we go. Even if we should repay our debts for the grace and love we have received, we must not become people who are indebted. We know that if we live a life of only receiving the grace of the Word and become indebted, our life will stumble. Therefore, I, who was born on this earth, must clearly realize that as a being with God’s characteristics, my individuality cannot mature when I am indebted in love.
In our life of faith, first, we must always confirm our relationship with God through the stimulation of the Word and be faithful to living a life of original nature. Second, we must cherish the Word and live a life of joy, inspiration and gratitude in our hearts.
The power of faith comes from a vertical relationship. It comes when we value our relationship with God as life. We also gain the power of faith when we are stimulated through the Word of God.
Another important thing is that we, as individual beings, must clearly realize that my individuality cannot mature when I am indebted in love. The fact that we must pay interests in love is our absolute destiny in our faith course.
Laws of Nature and Laws of Love
4. Those who have a physical body cannot have a healthy body without obeying the laws of nature of eating, sleeping, waking, coming and going. Similarly, our inner person must also live obeying the laws of love. You must clearly realize that the laws of love says that the inner person cannot be healthy if you only receive grace and become indebted. Therefore, we should become the ones who gain strength in our hearts through the Word in the parent-child relationship between God and me through God, who is the absolute ruler. Even if we repay love, we must regard the Word as a strict rule of life that we cannot be indebted.
Our inner person must obey the laws of love. You must clearly realize that the laws of love say that the inner person cannot be healthy if you only receive grace and become indebted.

Today, I have spoken under the title “I Must Repay the Grace and Love I Received.”
How can we repay the grace and love I have received? The best way is to practice God’s word, live for the sake of others and save people’s souls, (that is,) witness. I think witnessing is the best way to repay grace because through witnessing I can many people’s souls. The more lives I save, the happier I will make God. (So,) this is the best way to repay grace and love I receive.
