Key Points
Just as a bee sucking nectar would be oblivious to its tail being pulled out, a person who experiences God’s true love will never be able to be separated from it.
To experience this world of true love, we must thoroughly deny ourself and live a life centered on and for the sake of God.
Then we will be able to overcome any power and any evil force.
The time to escape into the mountains to seek truth has passed. Now that we have the met the True Parents and learned the truth of the Divine Principle, we must enter the secular world, sacrifice ourself to overcome Satan’s culture, and embrace humanity with Godism in order to create one great family under God.
In response to contemporary thought, a new expression of truth must emerge that can inspire a culture of continual hoondokhae. From that will emerge a culture of character that will give rise to a culture of Blessing which, in turn, will create a “culture of true life, true love, and true lineage centered on God's heart, love, and absoluteness.”
In order to bring harmony in the family we need to withhold our own opinion even when correct, to deny and sacrifice ourself and to set an example of service and love.
This is especially true of the mother as the center and root of love.
If she “goes the right way” and becomes a good tree as the center of love, the dead root of lineage will be revived as the root of true life.
If a woman becomes a good tree as the center of love, her husband and family will also become good.
In order to create family peace and harmony, the woman has to be stable and a champion of true love.
When True Parents launched Women’s Federation for World Peace and declared the Era of Women, Mother became True Mother and could no longer be invaded by Satan.
Freedom is not freedom to assert or indulge oneself but to obey the Word absolutely, which is what our original nature desires.
Because the messiah has the sole authority to forgive sins, when True Parents offer a special pardon, we really are liberated and Satan can not accuse us.
Even if our Abel is young, inexperienced and even misguided, we need to trust him and confess to him because God sent him to us. Then God can take responsibility for the rest.

Recently I have been busy recording speeches because I need to go to Korea and transit by Australia; so I need to seriously prepare Morning Devotion.
Yesterday, I had breakfast with four families in my room. This couple is Takeo & Tomoko Kuriki, a beautiful couple. We had a nice talk. They run a Japanese restaurant very well with incredible heart and devotion. It was a touching experience.
This couple is Larry & Misuzi Cunningham. They expressed their heart. We shared internally some important points. I really appreciated their honest feelings. It was a very good meeting.
You know this famous lady; the whole world knows her! She is Esther Batino. Her dedication is incredible. She always goes to GPA helping and cooking and caring for them. This lady is amazing.
This is Shojin Scharf, one of our second generation. He is very “sharp,” a really good boy living in the New Jersey church and witnessing. He is showing an exemplary life as second generation.
Today I’d like to talk about “God's Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful Ideal World I” from True Mother’s Anthology, Volume 2.

Ladies and gentlemen, God created the world to receive joy from it. Since even the absolute being, God, could not feel joy while alone, He needed a partner with whom He could share the giving and receiving of love. This is because joy cannot be learned by one person alone, but can only be experienced through a relationship with a partner. To put it in another way, God created this world in order to feel joy from seeing humankind and all things of the creation become one through His love, forming a harmonious and peaceful world of love.
On such a basis, human beings were meant to form true conjugal relationships centering upon His love, and to establish families, tribes, peoples, nations and a world of true love. God created this world to participate directly in this process and to feel joy from it. We can see that human beings are absolutely essential to fulfill God's ideal of love, and, in light of this, we can better understand the concept that absolute value is derived from an absolute partner. God, as the Father, and humankind, as His children, were to form a vertical axis, and this was the purpose for the creation of human beings. If this axis had been connected perfectly, that is, if a relationship that united humankind and God as one through true love had been established, that relationship would have been an absolutely inseparable one, which no force in the universe could break apart.
How could anyone who has tasted the original love of God ever be separated from it? With the coming of spring, honeybees wake from their long slumber with a taste for the fresh nectar of the blooming flowers. Try pulling the abdomen of one such honeybee while it is feasting on that nectar, lost to all else. You will see that it cannot tear away from the nectar, even if its abdomen is pulled off. How about you? Once you really get to know the taste of God’s true love, you won’t go far from it before you come back and cling to it once again. The power of the vertical true love that connects us to Him is greater than the power of life.
If a relationship that united humankind and God as one through true love had been established, that relationship would have been an absolutely inseparable one, which no force in the universe could have broken apart.
If we pull the tail of a bee sucking (nectar) with tweezers, we will see that the bee can't take its mouth off the honey even if its tail comes out.
True Father said that the world of true love is just like that world. That is why it is said that if anyone learns the taste of God's true love, he will never be able to leave the world of that true love.
In this way, the power of vertical true love that connects us to God is greater than the power of life. That is why it is said that those who have experienced true love can overcome any power and any evil force.
Due to the fall of man, he cannot experience the wonderful world of true love because he lives with self-centered thoughts and opinions. Therefore, we must thoroughly deny ourself and live. It is said that we cannot experience this world of true love unless we completely give up ourself and live a life centered on and for the sake of God.
The more I study Father’s word, (the more) I realize that the power of self-denial is amazing. If we feel the power of self-denial, truly without exception we can experience true love. If we completely deny ourself, we will receive God’s power, the power of true love. It can bring so many miracles everywhere. Why can’t we bring miracles? Why can’t we bring unity? Why can’t we create harmony? Because we have not yet completely denied our own self. If we completely deny ourself, God will intervene in our life. Everybody can then experience the power that comes from heaven and experience true love. We were just now speaking about honey and bees.
Because of the fall how far we have distanced ourself from God. Can you imagine that? This is the reality of fallen man.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: Eschatology 5 - Human History is the History of the Providence of Restoration1 - The History of the Development of Cultural Spheres
• Human history can be seen as the history of the providence through which God has been trying to save
fallen people and work through them to restore the original, good world.
• Let us examine in various ways the idea that human history is the history of the providence of restoration.
• First, let us examine the history of the development of cultural spheres.
• Through religion, fallen people mired in ignorance have sought to meet God by ceaselessly striving toward the good. Even though the individuals, peoples and nations which championed a certain religion may have perished, religion itself has survived.
• Religion has endured through history.
• In its history, China has experienced many cycles of the rise anc fall of dynasties and numerous transfers of political power, yet the religions of the far east-Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism-have continued to thrive.
• In India, the religion of Hinduism; in the Middle East, Islam; and in the history of Western Europe, Christianity have continued to flourish.
• Many religions have left their mark on history. Among them, the religions with the greatest influence formed cultural spheres. The major cultural spheres which have existed at various times in world history numbered between twenty-one and twenty-six.
• With the flow of history, lesser cultural spheres were absorbed by, or merged into, the more advanced spheres. Through the evolution of cultural spheres, as they were buffeted by the rise and fall of nations, four great cultural spheres have survived to the present day: the East Asian sphere, the Hindu sphere, the Islamic sphere and the Christian sphere.
• The current trend has these four spheres forming one global cultural sphere based on the Christian ethos.
• This demonstrates that the essence of human history has been the restoration of one united world.
Let’s study Father’s word.
The Purpose of Religion is to Find the True Ancestor of Human Beings
<12-102> Higher religions leave the society and go into the mountains. As long as they can find their parents on their way it would be the most valuable way. A religion that would willingly give of itself to others is the best religion. That’s why Christianity became a global religion. However, did Jesus engraft all human beings onto him? No, He didn’t. He only made preparations for being able to engraft. That’s why he said he would come back again. He couldn’t fulfill his filial duty either. For that reason, he will come back again to do his filial duty. The best purpose of life is to share the sweetness and bitterness of life with God. From now on, all the nations must come together as siblings. When the time is ripe, parents will be able to stand there. The purpose of religion is to find the parents of heaven and earth, that is, the true ancestor of human beings.
(Members?/founders? of) higher religions until now have gone into the mountains and struggled to find the path of true religion. Did that solve the problem so far? However, Christianity became a global religion because Christians fought the world and tried to walk the true path even if it meant sacrificing their own bodies.
Because Jesus left without fulfilling His will by dying on the cross, He said that he will come back to fulfill his task.
Our remaining task now is to fight against the fallen world centering on our true ancestors, True Parents, and unite all nations with a bond of siblings.
The time when religion goes to pray and cultivate the Way has gone. Religion has to fight reality and fight the world like Sodom and Gomorrah. Religion that tries to escape reality will disappear at some point. Since we have already found the Principle and met the True Parents, we must enter the world and play the role of salt.
The purpose of the existence of religions and churches is to train our bodies to surrender. Therefore, if we do not overcome Satan's culture through religion and church, that religion and church will surely disappear.
That is why the role of religion is like salt. It looks as if it melts and disappears, but the taste (remains).
In that sense, the Unification Church should embrace all religions with the ideology of Godism centered on True Parents and make humankind into one large family society under one God.
We cannot run away from reality. We need to fight with the secular world and Satan and win him over. That is the role of religion. If religion tries to avoid reality and problems, all kinds of issues, and tries to go a more comfortable way, this kind of religion will disappear. We need to reflect on whether religion is fulfilling its role or not? We need to think about it.
What is Contemporary Thought of the Fallen World Looking for?
<14-177> What is contemporary thought of the fallen world looking for? It is looking for the world of truth. Then, in the terms of history which progresses with culture, what is history looking for? It is looking for the ideology with the goal of realizing one world-wide culture. So far, the thought of the world has manifested through ideas and ideology, but it couldn’t set the standard that everyone should harmonize as one. Eventually arriving at a dead end, the thought of the world is struggling. That’s the reality we face today. Therefore, a new expression of truth that represents Heaven and earth must emerge in this world so that it can melt democracy and communism into one. From the world seeking after the truth, new words must emerge and judge all the existing truth.
Today, the contemporary thought (of) the fallen world is looking for the world of truth. So far, the thought of the world has manifested through ideas and ideology, but it couldn’t set the standard that everyone should harmonize as one.
Therefore, a new expression of truth that represents Heaven and earth must emerge in this world so that it can melt democracy and communism into one. From the world seeking after the truth, new words must emerge and judge all the existing truth.
Therefore, in order to overcome the contemporary thought of the fallen world, we must first create a culture of the Word. That is, (we need) to make Hoon Dok a part of life and make it a culture.
Are we doing hoondokhae well? We should not stop. Once we resolve and promise (this) to ourself, (we need to) keep going. In the beginning or on the way sometimes it is difficult and challenging, but the important thing is that even if we don’t have time, we should read even one page. (We should) keep going. This kind of mindset and attitude are important. Sometimes we may be inspired by Morning Devotion, sometimes so so, sometimes (a lot). (You encounter) all kinds of different situations, but we should keep going with an incredible, unchanging mindset. Then someday we will realize many things actually.
That is why we should make hoondokhae a part of our life and make it a culture – not just reading the Divine Principle but we need to make a hoondokhae culture everywhere.
Second, we must create a new culture of character through the hoondok culture.
Third, we must create a culture of blessing through the new character culture.
The Blessing culture is very important. Until we completely chase Satan out, we need to create a culture of the Blessing everywhere.
The culture of blessing is to create a culture of true life, true love, and true lineage centered on God's heart, love, and absoluteness.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: Be the Center of Harmony
Who Should be the First to be in the Center of Harmony in the Family?
1. The reason why any family or group cannot become one and cannot live in harmony is because each person asserts him- or herself. Rather than thinking about how to reconcile with each other, they bring discord because they insist that their assertions are correct. Who would like a person who assert themselves? The same is true within the family. Would the children be happy if the mother asserted her own opinion? Or will her husband be delighted? No one will be happy. So, in order for the family to be harmonious and happy, one must first deny oneself and sacrifice for the sake of the whole. And most importantly, each member of the family has to deny themselves, but who do you think should deny themself first? It is the mother. Because the mother is the center of love in the family. Therefore, mothers must think of the entire family and put her family first.
A Mother is the Root of Love in her Family
2. In Adam's family, Eve did not become the center of love and fooled around horizontally. As a result, she lost her husband, children, all things, God, and everything else. Therefore, if the mother does not become the center of harmony first in the family, who will? The center of the family is the mother. Therefore, know that mothers are the ones who must first practice love. A mother is the root of love in a family. If the mother does not become the center of love, the family becomes one without roots. Therefore, if the mother does not become the center of love in the family and does whatever she wants, the family is like a tree without hope and without roots. In the end, all such families will die. Can a tree live without its roots? A mother is the mother of love, and a mother is the root of the lineage. This is how precious a mother is.
Why was the Woman Represented as the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil?
3.God told Adam and Eve not to eat from the tree of knowledge of good and evil. That meant that they are not allowed to think, decide and act on their own. God created woman among them. God started creation from microbes and gradually increased the level of creation. And lastly, God created woman with the utmost sincere devotion. That means that a woman is the object of love among the objects of love. Man is the tree of life. Men only need to grow well as the tree of life at the formation stage and at the growth stage.
In a way, a women's responsibilities are greater because men have to go on their course through the mother of love known as women. Why was Eve represented as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? It is because if a woman becomes a good tree as the center of love, her husband will be good, her children will be good, and everyone will be good because the woman is the center of love. If the mother, the center of love, goes on the wrong path, everything goes wrong. If we look at Adam's family, didn't everything go wrong because the woman, Eve, went on the wrong path?
Religions Today do not Know the Roots and Foundation of Lineage
4. If only the mother goes the right way, the root of lineage, which was dead, will be revived as the root of true life. Who first brought death in Adam's family? Eve dragged them in first. Who knows about this? Do the existing religions today know about this? Does the existing religion know the origin and roots of lineage? They don't know anything. They do not know what the Fall is. They simply think that the Fall is just eating the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. That's all they know. They do not know that they ate the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil and committed sins that turned their lineage into an evil lineage. Established churches simply think that drinking wine removes sins. Catholics drink wine and eat bread every week. During such a ceremony, they eat and drink thinking that it is the blood and flesh of Jesus.
Don't Mistake Yourself as Being a Saint
5. Many believers mistakenly think that they have become saints just by eating bread and wine. By symbolically setting conditions, they are comforted. If you put a condition like that, it will only be a temporary comfort. Of course, you can be a little more relieved and comforted than a person who doesn't set conditions. People who live by these conditions are comfortable if they keep showing up foe Sunday service, and feel sorry if they don't. They feel anxious if they don't attend Sunday services.
Some people say they feel liberated because they don't go to church on Sunday. I have heard that people who have not tasted the truth even though they go to church feel so refreshed because they are forced to go to church and then they end up quitting. Some Unification members said that they felt completely liberated after quitting the Unification Church. Until this day, while going to church, they were always nervous about living under conditions such as ‘I have to pay indemnity’, ‘I have to attend the morning service’, and ‘I have to fast’.
True Freedom and Indulgence
6. But, everyone, how many days will the liberation they claims last? Does living according to one's own thoughts and opinions lead to liberation from the original mind? How childish is that? That person lived without knowing the world of shimjeong at all. That person was just someone who lived in the physical body. He was a person who just enjoyed eating and drinking and liked what the secular people liked. For such people, a spiritual life centered on faith feels like redemption. Freedom is not freedom to assert oneself, but freedom to obey the Word absolutely. Outwardly, it seems that we are governed by the Word, but since our original nature desires and rejoices, isn't that freedom rather than restraint? If you lead a self-indulgent life, your body will seem liberated, but your mind will live in hell. Some people are so spiritually insensitive that they live without even realizing the pain in their hearts.
Let’s summarize the key points.
Become the Center of Harmony
1. What is the biggest reason we can't reconcile? It's because each person has his own assertion and stubbornness. If everyone puts their own opinions first, whether that opinion is right or wrong, it brings discord.
Even though our opinion may be right – children may feel that “my father’s opinion is right,” or “my mother’s opinion is right,” then why do they disobey? – anyone who asserts one’s own opinion too much cannot create harmony.
2. No one will be happy if we only insist on our own opinion. So, in order for the family to be harmonious, even if one's assertion is correct, one must first deny oneself, sacrifice oneself for the sake of the whole, and become an example first.
(If we) just serve without much talking and show an example, everyone has a conscience and original mind and knows what is wrong and they know how to do it. We create disharmony because of wrong words.
3. In a family, the first person to deny herself is the mother. Because the mother is the center of love in the family, she must think of the entire family and put it first.
I have been in the Unification Church for more than 47 years. I have come to realize how important the role of the woman is as the mother. If I make my wife happy, all the members of my family will be happy because the woman’s position is that of love. She is the center in the family.
4. The center of the family is the mother. Therefore, it is very important for mothers to realize that they must practice love first. A mother is the root of love in her family. If the mother is not the center of love, the family becomes a family without roots.
5. Therefore, if the mother does not become the center of love in the family and does whatever she wants, the family is like a tree without hope and without roots. Mother is the mother of love. The mother is the root of the lineage.
6. In Adam's family, Eve did not become the center of love and fooled around horizontally. As a result, she lost her husband, Adam, her children, Cain and Abel, and all things, God, and everything else.
Why? We need to realize that the woman becomes the center of love. That is why the woman’s position is very important. In our family if the mother is stable and full of love, the family atmosphere completely changes because the mother is the center of love.
7. God created woman last with the utmost sincere devotion. That means that a woman is the object of love among the objects of love. Man is the tree of life.
He is simple actually.
Men only need to grow well as the tree of life at the formation stage and at the growth stage.
8. Why was Eve represented as the tree of the knowledge of good and evil? It is because if a woman becomes a good tree as the center of love, her husband will be good, her children will be good, and everyone will be good because the woman is the center of love.
True Father proclaimed that now is the era of women. (True Parents?) have completely restored Eve’s mistake. Based on that foundation, True Mother proclaimed WFWP. When she proclaimed the establishment of WFWP, the internal meaning is that True Mother completed her mission and became the real True Mother. Satan can no longer invade her. That is why since True Parents proclaimed the era of WFWP, the era of women has come. This is the last (era?). Woman has become the center of love.
In order to create family peace and harmony, the woman has to be stable and a champion of true love. Then the family atmosphere will completely change.
This is reality, even in my family. That is why I am always checking my wife’s mood. If she is smiling, the entire family smiles. We have experienced this in our family, right?
9. If the mother, the center of love, goes on the wrong path, everything goes wrong. If we look at Adam's family, didn't everything go wrong because the woman, Eve, went on the wrong path?

Why did just eating the fruit of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil bring such serious problems? What are you talking about!? What the Divine Principle discovered very clearly is really amazing.
Established churches simply think that drinking wine removes sins.
Without knowing the meaning of the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, (we cannot understand) why human beings commit sin again and again and inherit that kind of sin from ancestors. (It is) because of the blood lineage.
12. Many believers mistakenly think that they have become saints just by eating bread and wine. By symbolically setting conditions, they are comforted.
13. If we (make) a condition like that, it will only be a temporary comfort. Of course, we can be a little more relieved and comforted than a person who doesn't set conditions. People who live by these conditions are comfortable if they keep showing up for Sunday service, and feel sorry if they don't. They feel anxious if they don't attend Sunday services.

Our original mind knows very well. If we commit sin, what does our conscience tell us? We can feel incredible pain.
Many brothers and sisters came to me and talked to me after committing sins. Externally they show a smile and pretend they are good, but internally they have so much pain, like hell. That is why so many people came to me and asked, “How can I liberate (myself)?”
Externally we can pretend we are a good guy this and that, but anytime we commit sin, our conscience constantly tells us to go back(?). Then we feel so much pain. (To be released?) from this kind of pain, we need to listen to our original mind.
Outside people have no way to be forgiven, but we have a way to be forgiven. Now we have a special time period to receive the holy wine. It is incredible. Even if our spouse tells us, “I forgive you” or parents tell their children, “I forgive you,” can we really feel freedom? Human beings have no authority to forgive sins. Only True Parents have that kind of authority. When we sincerely believe in that and sincerely pray and think and repent, if with that kind of jeongseong condition we receive True Parents’ special grace, we can be released and liberated (from our sin) because only the messiah has the authority to forgive sins. When the messiah forgives our sin, then Satan cannot accuse us because the messiah has that kind of authority. We really need to appreciate True Mother giving us this special time period and special grace. That is why we need to invest jeongseong and our sincere heart.
Someone may say, “I cannot confess my sin to my Abel. He is a young guy, a small guy with no experience.” This is a problem. We need to believe our Abel. God sent him here. We should believe in and trust our Abel. Even if he misguides us, as long as we believe in our Abel and confess, God will be responsible for the rest. Because we create the condition of trusting our Abel and confess (our sin), God will do everything. He will do the rest. That is why our faith is really important. We should not think that he is (just) a human being. We need to think he is a representative of True Parents. If we believe in that, we can receive incredible benefit from heaven. That is why faith is amazing. We should not think in a humanistic way.
Some people are so spiritually insensitive that they live without even realizing the pain in their hearts.
Today I have been telling you how to create harmony and unity. The answer is simple. (We should) deny ourself and melt like salt completely. We don’t need the title of “father” or “mother” or “husband” or “wife.” We should just serve and melt and show the taste. This is the way to create harmony and unity.
