(Response to sharing) As long as you can breathe, you have a mission every day. That is why God gave you your life. The fact that you are still alive today means you have a mission to fulfill. You need to start from appreciation, then everything goes very well. It begins from appreciation. The more you appreciate, the more God extends your life. I surely believe in this.♦
I am so excited each day, even though I am in Australia, to see all our brothers and sisters all over the world through Zoom. How exciting it is. I really appreciate this kind of modern Internet technology. This was prepared for our True Parents. How can we use this modern technology to testify to our True Parents as much as we can?
Today I’d like to talk again about “Tell people about True Parents ” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 1.
In the book of Romans is a parable about a wild olive tree and a cultivated olive tree. A wild olive tree cannot become a cultivated olive tree on its own. When the owner comes, it can then engraft itself to the owner, the cultivated olive tree. However, this process of engrafting is not easy. The cultivated olive tree has a responsibility; its roots must be planted deeply so that it can survive in any difficult circumstance. What does this mean? After enduring many difficulties, you were able to receive the Blessing from True Parents. Then, being in a blessed family, what should you do? The Blessing will hold no meaning if you allow your Blessing to extend only to your family, while living in this age of True Parents. Those in blessed families must fulfill their responsibilities. The Blessing must not end up as a Blessing that extends only to your family.
You must reveal to your neighbors, your tribe, and your nation that True Parents are the true owners. That is the only way for you to go today if you want to receive the crown of glory, the only way to prove that you lived in this era with True Parents. Please engrave this in your hearts. All the blessed family members throughout the world should proclaim True Parents to all four corners of the world and fulfill their responsibilities as tribal messiahs practicing true love according to True Parents' teachings. Human beings are suffering and dying amid the destructive power of the barriers between religions, races and nations that are inflicting tragedies upon the world today. Can you watch these things happen without doing anything? We must educate everyone and raise them as True Parents' children. That is the only way to go in order to bring about the one united world that we, God and all humankind have longed for. (2015.03.03, CheongShim Peace World Center)
I spoke with great confidence at the United Nations when I was in Europe. The United Nations has worked hard to realize global peace and done many other things over the past 70 years; yet, the result is that they have been pushed to the edge of a cliff. In my message to the United Nations, I said that it should become an organization that reveals the truth, that we should attend God, our true owner, and that this endeavor should begin from the United Nations. Only by doing that can humanity, in its tangled situation, find its center and follow the direction of that center, completely untangling itself in the process. In that way, we can become one united world. To fulfill your responsibilities in relation to this as blessed members, can you allow a person in your neighborhood, nation or world to remain unaware of True Parents? No? You must let others know about True Parents. Those in the Christian cultural realm have waited for the returning Messiah for 2,000 years.
They have a great culture but since they are drifting away from God, it is becoming a culture with no substance, like an empty shell. Therefore, to realize world peace and one family centered on God while living in the same age as True Parents, you need to do your best and fulfill your responsibilities as tribal messiahs.
Won't you go to the spiritual world someday? Your lives in the spiritual world will depend on how you acted, how you lived and whether you practiced true love — lived for others — on earth. This means that nothing is greater than letting others know of True Parents. Seven billion people are orphans. What is wrong with letting orphans know who their parents are? This gives them hope. Therefore, your positions in the eternal world will be decided by your actions — whether you fulfilled your responsibilities and how widely you expanded hope in others.
True Mother continues to emphasize the mission of heavenly tribal messiahship as the responsibility of blessed families. Then, we took the time to study why we should do heavenly tribal messiahship once again through True Father's words.
A long time ago I may have shared this content on Tribenet, but let’s remind ourselves again.
The 5% (Portion of Responsibility) of Humankind and the Mission of the Tribal Messiahship
<116-279> You must clearly understand that the realm of the tribal messiahship has been set up on the foundation of the indemnity of True Parents by attending the True Parents. That’s why in order for you to carry out your 5% portion of responsibility, you are to indemnify it intensively at once by fulfilling the mission of tribal messiahship.
This is an incredible declaration.
Tribal messiahship has been set up on True Parents’ victorious foundation of indemnity.
Therefore, True Father said that when you fulfill the mission of tribal messiahship, everything can be indemnified all at once.
If we fulfill heavenly tribal messiahship, that is the way we can fulfill the 5% (portion of) human responsibility. The Divine Principle did not reveal in detail how to fulfill our 5% portion of responsibility as a human being, but True Father, after paying all the indemnity… When each human being, especially (among) blessed families, fulfills heavenly tribal messiahship, this is the way to fulfill the human 5% portion of responsibility.
Heavenly tribal messiahship is not just our duty and our own portion of responsibility, definitely without exception we need to do it. When we fulfill heavenly tribal messiahship, this is the way we can inherit all of True Parents’ victorious foundation.
The Mission of Tribal Messiah, Obtaining the 5% Results
<187-176> “So what on earth is the Tribal Messiah? Rev. Moon has now become a center of either a nation or a world, but you do not have a foundation like that. You do not own the 5% results. So to obtain the 5% results is to become a Tribal Messiah. So thereby centering on the love that you have poured out, you love your nation so that also it applies to the world.
When you fulfill the mission of tribal messiahship, you complete your 5% responsibility and at the same time, this condition establishes the foundation of loving your nation and world.
Even though we cannot love the whole world and our nation, fulfilling heavenly tribal messiahship is a condition for loving our nation and world.
The Standard of the Tribal Messiah
<187-176> You must realize how much important the standard of the Tribal Messiah is as it will be establishing foundations for the realm of heart in individual, family, tribe, nation, world and universe upon your way to go forward. In the context of Divine Principle, if a family is in the formation stage then what is a tribe’s stage? – Growth stage. How about a nation?-Completion. Yes, it is in the completion stage. Therefore when centering on one nation, the nation is in the formation stage, the world in the growth and universe in the completion. This is how it works! When centering on the world, the world is in the formation, the heaven and earth in the growth, God, Himself in the completion as love of God. That’s why you need to clearly understand the importance of the standard of Tribal Messiah in finding a nation when having observed such principles of progress of 3 stages.
Ultimately, doing tribal messiahship connects the realms of heart from the individual to the universe. From individual to the family, family to the nation, nation to the world, world to universe, and universe to God. When we fulfill our mission, heavenly tribal messiahship, we can connect to the universe from the (level of the) individual. What a great blessing it is!
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: Principle of Creation 9 - Life of Give and Take Action
• Through the agency of universal prime energy, the subject and object elements of every entity form a common base and enter into interaction. This interaction, in turn, generates all the forces the entity needs for existence, multiplication, and action.
• The interaction generating these forces through this process is called give and take action.
Based on this EDP content, let’s study Father’s word in detail.
Gladly Give and Gratefully Receive
<35-286> Had Adam and Eve gratefully received God’s words of ‘Do not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil’ and thought such a high and noble God ‘gave such words to our shameful selves’, they would have lowered their heads in awe and decided to act carefully. Then the fall would not have taken place. You must all share love centered on God and with a shameful heart respect each other, then even after giving love feel ashamed, becoming the owner of love. The family with such people is a happy family. You must all know clearly that this is the only path which can connect the individual problems with the public problems and solve the individual problems on the foundation of the public.
True Father said this: “Had Adam and Eve gratefully received God’s words of ‘Do not eat of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil’ and thought such a high and noble God gave such words to our shameful selves,’ they would have lowered their heads in awe and decided to act carefully. Then the fall would not have taken place.“
To Adam and Eve, internally, God is the one and only eternal parent. What is God’s external position? Externally, they should have realized that God is the one who has the authority to be the Lord of the universe, the Great King of the universe. If Adam and Eve had respected the eternal authority of the one who created the sun, moon, sea, sky, earth, countless stars, and the whole universe, which was God, the Great King, they would know that they were the smallest of creations and they should have been humbled and grateful.
Also, True Father said: “You must all share love centered on God and with a shameful heart respect each other, then even after giving love feel ashamed, becoming the owner of love. The family with such people is a happy family.”
That is why when we give regularly and receive gratefully, if we have this attitude, how beautiful it is!
Whenever fallen human beings give something, they always give with a proud heart. The one who gives always gives with authority. They do not feel shameful after giving, rather they mistakenly think that they will be glorified.
That is why this is a problem for a fallen human being.
<35-286> People who walk the way of God’s will cannot just walk it silently. God’s pain from numerous sufferings at the highest level are soaked within His voice. When thinking of the God who went through a course of conflict smeared with blood and comes out wearing clothes covered with blood, He was able to overcome the historic suffering on the verge of death because He wanted to give, and give, and give again. In the course of history there have been many great people but there has been no one who felt it is not enough even after giving and was grateful when receiving. You must know that only the person who gladly and gratefully receives can love God.
True Father said: “Even though God had to go through unimaginable sacrifice and suffering due to fallen human beings, since God still has a heart to give and give, He was able to overcome the critical moment of that historical suffering.
Even though human beings fell and left God, God knows the principle of the universe: how to get strength and energy by himself. He has no other way. He himself must follow his own principle: When you give and give and give and completely forget what you have given and still want to give more, only through this kind of being, he can get energy and power.
God knows himself how to get energy. That is why, even though we are fallen human beings, God needs to invest, sacrifice, and give again and again. What is the principle of the universe? It means that you only gain strength when you give. In give-and-take action the more you give, the more strength you gain. When you give to others sincerely, you will feel an unimaginable spiritual power arising from the universe. This is amazing! When you are very tired and so exhausted and you have no more (charge in your) battery, this is the sign to give. When you are really exhausted and tired because of relationships with human beings, then how can you gain strength? You need to give. When you give, you recharge your battery.
Until now when I practice this principle when I become stressed and tired, I know how to (re)gain strength no matter what. When I give something, I immediately recharge my battery. I do not know how to express this to you. Maybe many of you who are always giving and giving have had the same experience as I have had.
True Father said: “In the course of history there have been many great people, but there has been no one who, even after giving, felt it was not enough and was grateful when receiving. You must know that only the person who gladly and gratefully receives can love God.” Here, True Father spoke about our attitude when we receive.
When you receive from someone, you should receive it more gladly and sincerely than the one who gives. Even after receiving, fallen human beings always take it for granted. If I take it for granted when I receive something, the giver is less inclined to give it back (?again?).
That is a universal principle.
<35-286> What can we boast about in the future? I’m not saying we should boast about ourselves. It’s our pride to gladly and gratefully receive what God has given. It’s also our pride to have a mind of thankfully giving to others. If the Unification Church establishes such a tradition, it will never fade away in history.
Only a person who lives like that can receive gratitude from God. You must clearly know that the only way we will remain in this world is to live a life of gratitude for everything.
What can we boast about in the future as Unification church members? True Father said: It’s our pride to gladly and gratefully receive what God has given.
Also, when giving to others, it is our pride to be grateful for just the fact that I can give to my object partner and to Heaven for allowing me the opportunity to give.
True Father said that if the Blessed Families of the Unification Church establish this tradition, it will remain forever in the history of the world.
Therefore, whether giving or receiving, always live a life of gratitude towards God. If our faith enables us to live a life of gratitude for everything, then that is the secret to being happy.
One of the most important things in life of faith is to be thankful for everything. Fallen human beings do not know how to be grateful. Even after receiving, they want to receive more and their demands gradually increase. And if they don't receive, they easily become upset and return to their self-centeredness.
That is a problem. Recently, I confess to you, it has become a habit, whenever I see any situation, I am so grateful. I wake up and already my heart (expresses) appreciation to God. The whole day during work or going here and there, every second, every moment I feel God gave me this kind of heart, I can appreciate any environment, any kind of situation.
I came back home. My mission is to serve my family. My job is like (that of) Noah. Noah just focused on his own job and climbed to the top of Mt. Ararat (every day) and worked and worked and returned home very tired and slept. Every morning he needed to go up the mountain early. He did not have much time to spend with his wife and children. I don’t want to be a Noah. Even though Noah made a great successful condition, the foundation of faith, he could not fulfill the foundation of substance. Since I came here, my family is the frontline.
Especially this morning I am so grateful. I am living together with my father-in-law. He is nearly 87 years old. He is living with us. He washes dishes and cleans here and there. God gave me such a beautiful wife, serving me, loving me, continuously supporting me. I am also grateful for my son-in-law, a great guy. My daughter, Heavenly Father, I not only have two son’s but you gave me a daughter. Now I know the taste of a daughter. … I feel that maybe I am the most blessed guy in the world. So grateful!
Father said in any circumstance you should be grateful. If you are always grateful, you can overcome any negativity, any problems, any difficult situation. If you are grateful in any situation, you should be better than your ancestors.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: The 2nd Way to Relieve God’s Bitter Heart
1. Today, I would like to talk about the second step to relieve God’s Han (bitter heart). God always established a person of faith before us. In front of each individual, each family, and each nation, there is always a person who has been established as the central figure of faith on God's side. Therefore, we must always believe that there is a person on God’s side before us and look for them. In any situation around me, there is a person on God’s side who can make me go before God. In this way, we need to know that God cares for us and has been working the providence and establishing the central figure of faith without rest. Also, through us, God has set up a Cain figure prepared by Heaven in front of us. We have a responsibility to find Cain prepared by heaven and lead them to Heaven.
In your life faith, the most important thing is to first find and serve the central person on God's side around you.
God knows how to take care of you. For everyone God has prepared someone to help you. That is our first job, to find the central person on God’s side around me. Who is that guy? If we have a longing, sincere heart, trying to be close to God, this kind of longing heart and sincere attitude, we will definitely know who this central person around me is. God knows how to take care of you. What kind of longing heart, what kind of sincerity do you have? If you are sincere and have a longing heart to be close to Heavenly Father, God will surely show you who can be your central figure around you. This we call the foundation of faith. You need to find a central person, serve him, love him, listen to him, learn from him. This is the foundation of faith.
Next, I need to find and establish the person on the side of Cain, that is, John the Baptist, prepared by God around me. This is to establish the foundation of substance. You need to meet the Cain figure. You need to witness to three spiritual children first. To build up a relationship with a central person is my foundation of faith. Horizontally I need to witness to a minimum of three spiritual children. I need to find the John the baptist who can support me, prepared by God around me. That is the foundation of substance. If you don’t have any central person on God’s side around you, you cannot grow by yourself. When you have sincerity -- in your family loving your father and mother, if you have a filial heart, you need to find someone around you. Secondly, if you have that kind of filial piety, that kind of clear foundation with your Abel central person, then naturally you can build up relationships with your Cain figures. They follow you, respect you, and always discuss things with you. They can become your great foundation.
2. To those who have been resurrected through the Word and have the life of the Word, it automatically awakens our hearts so that they cannot bear to not multiply the Word. I will come to feel like I cannot stand not lighting fire to those around me. Those who possess the heavenly Word of life wander around, searching for the object partner of the Word. They even have a pitiful passion to light a fire on wet firewood. Those who possess life through the Word will make efforts to convey the Word to an extent that they cannot control themselves, and it will always result in multiplication. The reason we cannot witness today is because the Word of God has not come into me and become life. Only the living can resurrect the dead. The dead cannot raise the dead. Because I am not spiritually alive, I am unable to witness.
Those who have been resurrected by the word and have the life of the word, they cannot control their emotion and heart because you really want to multiply to your neighbor. You cannot control your mouth. “I want to testify to God and True Parents. I need to testify to how powerful God’s word is. How much my life has changed. I have had a transformation experience!” That is the power of God’s word. When God’s word becomes my life in my heart, it is really powerful. Then you cannot control your heart. Absolutely you want to testify to someone and automatically multiply.
Why can’t we witness? (What is) the main reason? Because God’s word has not yet become my life within my heart. If God’s word really stimulates my heart, God’s word becomes my life. (Then) you can raise someone who has died. Then that person will listen to you about God’s word. He can be revived. Why can’t we witness? Because God’s word did not become alive in my heart. As long as our spirit is alive, then we automatically want to witness. Why do I not like to witness? Because God’s word has not yet stimulated me enough; God’s word has not yet become my life. (When it has) you cannot control (yourself). You definitely go out and love to witness, love to convey God’s blessing and always testify how great God and True Parents and the divine principle are. You cannot control your original mind. That is the one who is inspired by God’s word, and God’s word has become the life in his heart.
3. In human history, in Adam’s family, Cain killed Abel, and the case of murder has been passed down to the present day. Most of us have the blood of Cain rather than the good blood of Abel, so we easily become jealous, persecute, and try to kill the other person. This kind of Cain-sided families, tribes, nations, and world dominate today’s reality. We cannot deny that this is the very essence of the descendants of sinners. We are well aware that this is the course of the history of the providence of restoration that has been entangled with God’s Han due to the discord between Cain and Abel. It is difficult to resurrect my life through the Word, but it is even more difficult for Cain to reconcile with Abel. Even though God had the same sons, looking at which is the first or second son, according to the course of the Fall, He chose Abel. This can be seen as the fact that God regarded one side as God’s side by looking at the course of lineage.
What kind of blood lineage do you have? Cain side blood lineage? Or Abel-side blood lineage? When you have Cain-side blood lineage, you always complain, always compare (yourself with others), (express) dissatisfaction, have jealousy, try to disturb others. We can know what kind of blood lineage I carry.
However, if we carry the Abel blood lineage, we always try to be humble, try to help others, and we forgive those who persecute us and love them. We are always patient.
We (can) know what kind of blood lineage we carry, that of Abel or that of Cain. That is why we always need to think about what our identity is, then based on that we need to invest more effort and hard work.
4. I can tell whether I am from Cain or Abel’s side by looking at my blood lineage. Heaven deals more closely with those who have a compassionate character towards others, a willingness to sacrifice and live for the sake of others, and carries Abel’s Han. God has more compassion for widows, orphans without parents, or those who are crippled, that is, those who lament. Therefore, between the side that laments and the side that does not lament, if you ask which side is Abel, it is the one that laments, the one that carries sorrow. In a family, the person who feels a great responsibility for housekeeping and worries is the center of that family, and it is the same in society, the country, and the world. From this point of view, in order to meet Abel on this earth, all you need to do is find someone who laments over injustice.
I am inspired by this content. Father said that between the side that laments and the side that does not lament, if you ask which side is Abel, it is the one that laments, that carries sorrow. In a family the person who feels a great responsibility for housekeeping and worries in the center of the family, those who suffer more … who will carry Abel’s han? Who can have more of Abel’s side blood lineage? God has more compassion for widows and for orphans without parents, and for those who are crippled. That kind of family, those kinds of children, that situation has more (to) lament. They have that kind of sorrowful heart, miserable situation. Father said they are more connected to God, those who suffer more, those who have crippled children, those who have some serious situation, suffering, suffering, suffering. They have lamentation. That lamentation is a great opportunity to meet God’s lamentation.
That is why (we should) not complain: “Why did Heavenly Father give us this kind of disabled child, this kind of problem, all this suffering, this lack of money? Why are we always poor? Why don’t I have a father and mother? Why did I become an orphan?” This category of people carry Abel’s han. Abel’s han needs to meet God’s han. When Abel’s han meets God’s han, that is the moment we can inherit God’s han, God’s sorrowful heart.
Why has Korean history been a 5,000 year history of suffering? So much hardship! In order to meet God’s han, to meet God’s sorrowful heart, to have his same situation. Otherwise, how can they become the chosen people and understand God’s heart?
5. Then, who is really concerned for the world? We need to know that looking for the people who are deeply concerned about the problems of the nation and the world and who carry a sorrowful, bitter heart are the very central figures God is looking for. Looking back at the time of Jesus, who would have been the center of that time? Jesus did not care about what he would wear, what he would eat, and where he would dwell, but he was concerned about the future of Israel and lamented and lived like a madman. It is obvious that Jesus was the central figure.
6. Simply put, even if it’s your own concerns, if you are continuously distressed and worry for three or four days, God will admire you. “Do you have that much Han (bitter heart) over your own concerns? It will be done according to your faith.” When Jesus saw the woman holding onto his cloth and begging for her daughter's disease to be healed, he said, “Ah! This is the first time I have ever seen this kind of faith in the land of Israel! Your request will be granted according to your faith.” If you look at these words, you can see that even if you have a bitter heart because of the flesh, when the degree is high, God will deal with you. In short, in order to meet God, a person who has Han like God has a greater chance of meeting God.
This is very powerful. In order to meet God, a person who has han, even though he has a bitter heart, even if he does not know God or the spiritual world, if he has deep han, deep sorrow and suffering, this is a great opportunity to meet God. That is why suffering and hardship are a great opportunity to meet God. They are a blessing to meet God’s heart.
7. If I know the concerns and circumstances of a person with greater responsibilities than mine, I can never have issues with them. If I cannot support the person in charge of the greater responsibility, who is concerned over the whole, I cannot have issues with them. The reason we often have discord with each other is that we do not know how big of a responsibility the other person has and what their circumstance and heart are. However, we talk a lot about other people. Most servants talk a lot about their master. Farmhands talk a lot about their master. Pointing out the faults of those in charge is my own evidence that I am the descendant of Cain.
8. In Adam’s family, Cain knew well that Abel loved God more than himself. Although he was the younger brother, he knew well that Abel’s level of heart was better than his. Even though Esau, the son of Isaac, knew well that his younger brother Jacob devoted himself for the family more than anyone else and cared about his parents more than anyone else, he ignored his younger brother Jacob. In Jesus’ day, people knew well that Jesus worked hard for the nation. Even though they knew he was loved by God, they ignored him.
9. The same is true of the Unification Church today. If you ask Christian churches what kind of person Sun Myung Moon of the Unification Church is, they will know very well that he was a person who dared to do what others could not do. Yet they look at the Unification Church and say it’s a cult. If Christian churches see the Unification Church youth working hard to visit them, they will think their own Christian youth are not working as hard, and knowing that Unificationist youth are working diligently, they will only feel sorry that we are called a cult. Christians will be envious and think “how great would it be if those youth were our youth.” Do you know what Christians say when we go out and do activities in the early days in Korea? Indeed, they will say “Unificationists work really hard! When I see people visiting homes, they are all Unification Church members!”
10. If God wants to come to this earth, what kind of place does He want to come to? He wants to come to a place where there are individuals who carry God’s Han, a place where tears are shed because of God’s Han, and where the reconciliation of Cain and Abel is accomplished. We must know that such a place is a place where God can come. God wants to come to the altar of reconciliation, and He wants to stay there. If you know God’s Han, without providing a place for that liberation, what can you do to bring Him joy?
That is why I need to have han. Then my han can meet God’s han. If I do not have han, I cannot meet God’s han. This is an important point. God is a God of han. Therefore, I need to have han; I need to have a sorrowful heart. Then I can console and comfort God’s heart.
11. Looking at the history of God's providence of restoration, most central figures who had one-on-one relationship with God and offered sacrifices succeeded in establishing the Foundation of Faith.
Many central figures fulfilled the foundation of faith. Adam’s family did. So did Noah’s family and Abraham’s family, most of the central figures completed the foundation of faith. However, after that, most people fail in the substantial offering of uniting Cain and Abel, and (as a result) the providence was prolonged. (Nearly) everyone has failed in relationships between Cain and Abel.
You know about the individual faith between God and yourself. You can create the foundation of faith. However, most people failed at the foundation of substance. The foundation of substance means how to love Cain and how to love Abel, the relationship between Cain and Abel. You have to build a relationship between Cain and Abel. The important thing is reconciliation and unity between them. If we are victorious in the relationship between Cain and Abel and reconcile with each other, the foundation that the messiah can come on will be established. As long as I build a relationship with my Abel and my Cain, this is the foundation on which the messiah can come down and God can come in.
Not just the foundation of faith. OK, you are a filial son or filial daughter. You have the fundamental faith between God and yourself. That is the basic foundation, the foundation of faith. But based on that, you need to love your Cain, you need to love your Abel as God.
That’s (what happened) when Jacob won (over) his older brother Esau and said to him, “When I see you, it is like seeing God.” This is Abel’s job. When we reconcile Cain and Abel, that is the realm in which we release God’s resentment. In Adam’s family why is there(?) God’s resentment? Cain killed Abel. Noah's family failed with the foundation of substance. Moses …could not fulfill the foundation of substance. (It was the same?) in many families, Jesus, Moses and everywhere. In the place where Cain and Abel become one and reconcile, God’s han is relieved. How can I conquer Cain’s side, Abel’s side and create unity. That is the most difficult job.
However, (when we are) welcome(?), when there is reconciliation(?), that is the way to release God’s resentment, God’s han.♦
