The Providential History of Salvation from the Viewpoint of the Principle - February 16, 2023
Key Points
Because the world is moving toward becoming one economically, environmentally and ideologically, we must instill the philosophy of living for the sake of others into humankind, particularly America, and educate them about the spiritual world.
Many people who aspire to lead the world do not yet want to participate in God's providence.
Through overseas service and the missionary experience we must give our young people a vision of loving and serving the world as one great family under God.
The secret to saving our second generation from now on is to plant a global vision in them and have them go out into the world as missionaries and contribute to one world under one God.
To clear collective sin we need to have the mindset to carry the cross on behalf of God and True Parents and to take collective responsibility for all the past and present sins of humankind.
Collective sin is cleared when we think of others’ sins as our own sins and take responsibility for them.
The compassionate heart with which we take on this collective responsibility can save humankind and our ancestors and liberate God and True Parents.
In this age of love, women must become the center of the family as mothers of love and even lead the church, nation, and world.
If the mother has many tears of love, her husband will change and the children will not cause their parents to worry. When a mother takes her child’s wrongdoings as her own and cries, how can that child see this and cause his parents to worry?
When women become mothers of love, take responsibility for their family and nation, and even for God’s han and sorrow, and liberate Him, they themselves will be liberated.
Love is the universal remedy.
Behind any great man is a great mother.
To become a mother of love, a woman must have many tears.
God’s han and sorrow from Eve’s failure will be resolved when a woman honors her husband like God and serves her children like God. Then her husband and children can also be liberated as well as God’s pent-up han.
A filial child will emerge in the womb of a mother who always cries bearing God’s sorrow and han and has a heart of filial piety towards Heaven.

Today I’d like to talk about “The Providential History of Salvation from the Viewpoint of the Principle” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
<This speech was given by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon between July 20 and October 29 on a speaking tour for Koreans residing in the United States.>
Which do you prefer, ‘One Nation under God’ or ‘One World under God’? Among Americans, some people do not like the concept of one world under God. Some white people, for example, do not like black people. Since white Anglo-Saxon Protestants occupy dominant positions in the United States, they ought to lead Americans to adopt the viewpoint that their country exists for the sake of the entire world. If America lives only for its own sake, it will ultimately perish. The times are now changing. We are coming to the era of one world under God. God is working to establish this kind of world and will always help those who are working for this providence. One problem, however, is that many people who want to lead the world do not yet want to participate in God's providence. In working toward one world of peace, my husband and I have poured ourselves into numerous projects.
To build the foundation for the future world, for example, we need to establish an ideal, worldwide academic institution, such as a United Nations University, transcending the barriers of race, religion and language. Also, to exchange knowledge on a global scale, we need a university system for distance learning. In addition, we need to develop a unified medical science. We not only have to cure the diseases of the body caused by the Fall, we also need to end the conflict between the East and the West by bringing their cultures into harmony. By uniting eastern and western medicine, we can cure currently incurable diseases, such as AIDS. In the Korean countryside, among people who never had formal medical education, there are many gifted healers who can cure serious diseases that are incurable by modern medicine. The spirit world has guided these healers to understand special treatments and cures for disease. Without recognizing certain realities of the spirit world, our problems will continue to grow. Already related projects are being implemented at the University of Bridgeport and Sun Moon University.
Father said Americans need to adopt the viewpoint that their country exists for the sake of the entire world. If America lives only for its own sake, it will ultimately perish. The times are now changing. We are coming to the era of one world under God.
God is working to establish this kind of world and will always help those who are working for this providence. And He will help such people forever. True Parents are saying that God will forever help leaders who work for a vision for the world and for one world under God.
One problem, however, is that many people who want to lead the world do not yet want to participate in God's providence.
Now, the world is demanding an age when we become completely one economically, environmentally, and ideologically. As we usher in such an amazing age, whatever we do, we must think about the world.
Therefore, from now on, as we usher in the environment of this amazing external age, the question is how we can instill the philosophy of living for the sake of others into all of humankind.
And another important question is how we can let them know the truth about the spiritual world and educate them about it. In the future, if we do not recognize the truth about the spirit world, big problems will happen.
The way for our American church to live from now on is to send our growing 2nd and 3rd generation out into the world and train them. We need to instill into them the vision of loving and serving the world.
This is one of (God’s) greatest wishes. How can we revive our blessed children, the second generation and third generation?
We need to make it so that people can really feel for themselves that the world is truly one family through world missionary work and through serving humankind.
The Bible says that where there is no vision, the people perish. Currently, the thing our 2nd generation needs the most is nothing but instilling into them the vision to live for the sake of the world and humankind.
The secret to saving our second generation from now on is to plant a global vision in them and have them go out into the world and contribute to one world under one God. If we guide the second generation with such a global vision, an unimaginable spiritual typhoon of the Holy Spirit will blow upon our unification movement.
When I became the continental director of Oceania, Asia and America, I continuously thought about how to revive our second generation and third generation. Of course, we need to educate them well, have workshops often and teach them the Divine Principle and guide them well in the family. That’s fine. This takes a long time.
What is the best way to raise our second generation and third generation? We need to give them a global vision. Let them get out of America and serve the world and all humankind.
I brought many brothers and sisters to India, Nepal, Cambodia and everywhere to do missionary missions. I am telling you, those who experience being a missionary in many countries have an incredible life-changing experience.
In order to raise our second generation and third generation when we bring them to serve the world, they realize that the world needs our second generation and third generation; if we show that kind of global vision and activity, an unimaginable spiritual typhoon of the Holy Spirit will blow on our Unification Church. When they come back from the mission field, they (will) testify and talk to the other second generation and third generation who are distant about their wonderful experience – “Really, God is alive!” (and) “How amazing it is to help and serve all humankind and serve the world.”
We need to have that kind of arrangement. That is why I am thinking how we can properly arrange to send more missionaries to the world. That is one of the important responsibilities of the elder son nation.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Human Fall 23: Collective Sin and Individual Sin
The collective mindset is really important. It comes from living for the sake of others and taking ownership not just of ourself, but of others, our ancestors, of others, of God, of everything.
• First is the original sin. This sin originated with the spiritual and physical fall of our first human ancestors. It is ingrained in our lineage and is the root of all sins.
• Second is hereditary sin. This is sin which one inherits from one’s ancestors on account of their connection through lineage.
• Third is collective sin. This is sin for which a person is responsible as a member of a group. For example, as a consequence of sending Jesus to the cross, the Jewish people were cast into the position to undergo grievous suffering.
• Fourth is individual sin, which an individual himself commits.
Categories of Sins and How to Uproot Them
3. Collective sin (Sin committed by a group): The sin that can be removed by taking the responsibility as a member of a group through the mission of tribal messiah. It can be removed by saving 430 families.
4. Individual sin (Sin that the individual commits himself) : It can be removed by offering sincere devotion, such as repentance, prayer, indemnity condition, fasting, etc.
Collective Sin
1. The collective sin is the sin that you have to take responsibility collectively although you didn’t commit a sin and it is not the sin can be inherited through the lineage. Two thousand years ago, due to the sin that the priests and scribes sent Jesus to the cross, entire Jewish people have wandered around in other lands without their own nation due to punishment of God for two thousand years. It is the fearful sin that Hitler in Germany massacred six million people when World War II occurred.
2. Moreover, due to their sins, the entire human race came to pay the price for it and go along the path of indemnity. In other words, the entire human race came to take common responsibility and go along the path of suffering until Jesus returns.
Let’s study Father’s word.
Become a Representative of God
<11-213> The path that the Unification Church goes is easy. It is the way that you become a representative of God. Since God has been working diligently for us, we have to devote our lives on behalf of God and reciprocate the love. Then, God can rest, can’t He? We, ourselves, must become children of God and citizens of God’s nation. We are taking the collective responsibility. Therefore, each one of us has to become a representative of God.
This content looks very simple, but it is very important.
How do we clear collective sin? To clear collective sin, what kind of mindset do we need? True Father said that this is very easy. It is the way that we become representatives of God.
It means to go out with the heart to take responsibility over everything on behalf of God and True Parents. Since God has been working diligently for us until now, we are to go out with the heart to carry the cross on behalf of God and comfort Him.
In addition, it is not only to carry the cross on behalf of God and True Parents, but also to carry out collective responsibility for all the sins that have been entangled from generation to generation.
Therefore, collective sin is cleared when we think of others’ sins as our own sins and take responsibility for them. We can clear collective sin when we fulfill our mission as God’s representative and take responsibility of others’ sins as our sins, our ancestors’ sins as our sins, the nation’s sins as our sins, and even the sins committed by humankind until now as our sins.
“Your sin is your sin. You have to be responsible (for it). You need to pay the indemnity. It has to do with me.” With this kind of mindset, we cannot resolve collective sin. In order to clear out collective sin, we need to have a collective mindset, “I have to be responsible on behalf of God, on behalf of True Parents. This is the spirit of ownership. “I will be responsible not just for my own (sins), but (for those of) my tribe, my ancestors. I even need to comfort and console God, Heavenly Parent and True Parents.”
Such a collective mindset comes from a filial heart, from living for the sake of others. It is very important. We (should) have the collective concept on behalf of God and True Parents. Heavenly God always has a collective concept. How can we carry on such a collective concept on behalf of God, True Parents and our nation?
We must know for sure that this collective responsibility comes from the heart of wanting to save others. The compassionate heart (with which) we take on this collective responsibility can save the world and humankind, save our ancestors, and liberate even God and True Parents.
That is why if we have this collective responsibility and mindset, we cannot blame anyone, cannot blame our ancestors. “I want to be responsible. If there is a way to pay indemnity, I will do that.” That is the messiah.
... Who can be responsible for all collective sins so far? “I am the one who knows God’s will, who knows True Parents.”
This collective concept and responsibility comes from the spirit of living for the sake of others. As the representative of God we can automatically have such a collective mindset and responsibility. This is how to clear collective sin. We need to have that kind of mindset.
Today I really realized how powerful the concept of a collective mindset and responsibility on behalf of God and True Parents is. That is why we need to live for the sake of our nation (and) of the world. Furthermore we need to console and comfort God’s heart.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: Love is the Universal Remedy
It is medicine that can cure all ailments, all diseases, all difficulties.
Love is the Universal Remedy
1. Men have the disposition of the archangel, but in some ways, men are simple-minded and actually weak in front of women. If a man is not treated well by a woman and the woman dislikes him, the man will not even be able to enter the house but wander outside. This is because they do not have the dignity to enter the house. However, if wives longs for their husband and adores him, men will have affection for their wife, the wife is like a mother, and they will long for them.
In the family, if the woman has many tears of love as the mother, the children of that household will not cause their parents to worry. When a mother sees her child’s wrongdoings and cries that they are her own wrongdoings, how can that child see such a mother and continue to cause their parents to worry? How much less would animals know the human heart well? Try loving a dog. Then, that dog will wag its tail, trying to listen to their owner. Who can stop the power of love of human beings, the lords of creation? Love is the universal remedy. That is why True Father said that love has explosive power stronger than an atomic bomb. Who was the malefactor of the Fall? It was the woman, Eve. Therefore, as the mother of love, when women grasp ahold of the center, everything in the household is in order. If the woman is dark, the household becomes dark.
Now, with the launch of Women’s Federation, the age of the archangel centered on men, has officially come to an end. Now, the age of love centered on women, has arrived in earnest.
Now, it is the age when women must become the mothers of love and become the center of the family, and go even further and lead the church, nation, and world.
Now, the destiny of the family, nation, and world depends on how women fulfill their responsibility of mothers of love from the position of the restored Eve.
The center of love is not men but women. Thus, as the mother of love, women must take hold of the center and move forward. No matter what, she must go out and embrace her husband in the position of the archangel.

I cannot forget when I was young in elementary school, my brother hit me, and I fought with him. It was quite serious fighting. When my mother looked at both of us, do you know what happened. My mother cried and cried in front of us. “How come as brothers you fight like that?” I had never seen my mother’s tears before me in this way. At that time I reflected, “I will never make my mother cry again.” When I saw my mother’s tears, even though I was a small boy, I was determined, “I don’t want to make my mother cry.” When I saw my mother’s tears, I had kind-of a life-changing experience. I had such strong determination. Because I loved my mom, I did not want her to cry.
Mother’s tears change children’s heart. If children do something wrong, if the mother sheds tears and repents on behalf of the children, then children never go the wrong way.
How much less would animals know the human heart well? Try loving a dog. Then, that dog will wag its tail, trying to listen to its owner. Who can stop the power of love of human beings, the lords of creation? Love is the universal remedy. That is why True Father said that love has explosive power stronger than an atomic bomb.
Mother’s love is really great. Father’s love is external. Mother’s love is so detailed, so touching. In the home who is the owner? The mother is. If the mother is stable, the entire family atmosphere becomes very stable.
Therefore, as the mother of love, when women grasp ahold of the center, everything in the household is in order. If the woman is dark, the household becomes dark.
A woman has to be stable as the mother in the family no matter what. (Then) as the mother, she digests everything and embraces her husband and children. That family is hopeful.
But if the mother is very emotional and up and down and not stable, my goodness! Her entire family is in a serious situation.
How can a woman settle her heart and handle the role of the mother?
To Become a Mother of Love, You Must Have Many Tears
2. Who has become the center of and have led religion today? It is women. In fact, women have become the center of all religions and have carried on traditions. It is not men. If you look at any religion, women have taken center stage and led religions. Could True Father even have the true children without True Mother? The path of children’s destiny is determined depending on the responsibility of the mother’s love. The reason Jesus went on a difficult path was because of his mother, Mary. On the contrary, if you look behind great people, all their mothers were great. The reason men became great figures was because they had great mothers behind them. Why did Jesus come to this earth and become a pitiable person? He became pitiable because he could not meet his bride. This is how the responsibility of women is important.
For families with husbands that do not come to church, whose responsibility do you think that is? According to Father, it becomes that way when the woman, who must fulfill her role as the mother of love, does not have any tears. Women must have generous hearts. But if women instantly become upset or criticize their husbands when they make a small mistake, that family will be ruined. For a woman to become a mother of love, she must have many tears. What kind of tears? Tears of compassion.
Now is the age of the liberation of women. When women fulfill their responsibly as mothers of love, take responsibility over their family and nation, and go even further to take responsibility over God’s han and sorrow and liberate Him, then women are liberated at last.
The human ancestor Eve’s failure to become a wife of love must now be resolved from the family level in the age of love.
Who has become the center of and led religion today? It is women. In fact, women have become the center of all religions and have carried on traditions. It is not men. If we look at any religion, women have taken center stage and led religions.
If we look behind great people, all their mothers were great. The reason men became great figures was because they had great mothers behind them.

Why couldn’t Jesus fulfill his job? Because there was no wife, no woman. Wow! We can see that the main reason Jesus did not fulfill his mission was no wife. Without a wife, he could not fulfill his portion of responsibility even though he was the messiah.
Even though we may be a great man, without a wife, we cannot fulfill (our mission). Even though we may be a great woman, without a man we cannot fulfill (our mission). Why did Adam and Eve fail? They failed as a couple. We can only fulfill our portion of responsibility as a man and woman. Especially the role of the woman is incredibly important!
A Mother Must Carry the Tears of God’s Han and Sorrow
3. If women carry the tears of God’s sorrow and tears of His han, all of that household’s total darkness will disappear. A filial child will certainly emerge in the lineage of such mother. A filial child will emerge in the womb of a mother who always cries with God’s sorrow and han. This is absolute. A child that only has dissatisfactions and complaints will emerge in the womb of a bad-tempered mother. If a mother has a heart of filial piety towards Heaven, a filial child will be born from her womb. This is a historical truth. Just as beans will come out if you sow beans, filial piety will come out if you sow filial piety. Bitter sorrow was rooted in God due to Eve, the woman of Adam’s family, failing to grasp the center. God told Eve not to eat the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, but if Eve had asked Him just once why she cannot eat the fruit, God would have responded, “So (when) the time has come. I will marry you two.” But didn’t Satan’s lineage begin because Eve did not even ask once and just did things on their own?
In the beginning, who first caused sorrow to God’s heart and (made him) have han? Was is Adam? Was it Eve? The one that first caused God to have han must be the one to resolve His han first.
From that perspective, the one to resolve God’s han and sorrow is women rather than men. More than anyone else, women, who are in Eve’s position, must heal God’s wounds and comfort Him.
Then, from where must we resolve God’s han and sorrow? Since Eve caused such a problem in the family, the problem must be resolved from the family. Therefore, God’s han and sorrow will be resolved when a woman honors her husband like God and serves her children like God.
If women (bear) the tears of God’s sorrow and tears of His han, all of that household’s total darkness will disappear. A filial child will certainly emerge in the lineage of such a mother.
A mother can carry God’s han, God’s tears and God’s sorrow. She is the one who really comforts and consoles God. If a mother has that kind of heart, a filial child will certainly emerge in the lineage of such a mother.
A filial child will emerge in the womb of a mother who always cries with God’s sorrow and han. This is absolute. A child that only has dissatisfactions and complaints will emerge in the womb of a bad-tempered mother.
If a mother has a heart of filial piety towards Heaven, a filial child will be born from her womb. This is a historical truth. Just as beans will come out if we sow beans, filial piety will come out if we sow filial piety.
Women must become mothers of love and live, (bearing) the tears of God’s han and sorrow. Only then will her husband and children be liberated and even further, God’s pent-up han will be liberated.

(Response to sharing) We need to really understand God’s heart. Not just purposeful(?) tears come out. Tears should come in a natural way. When we think about God’s suffering, his tears and han, tears should naturally come down. When I see True Father and True Mother, how tearful their life is! Theirs are our exemplary tears. How can we shed tears? That is a secondary issue. How we can connect to God’s heart, han and sorrow (is what matters). Then we automatically become a man or woman of tears, and we can guide our spouse and children very well.♦
