Today I’d like to talk about “The Lord of the Second Advent and True Father's indemnity course” from True Mother Hak Ja Han Moon : An Anthology, Book 1
The Will cannot be achieved without embracing both Cain and Abel. After the Second World War, Korea was divided into North and South and the North was dominated by the Soviet Union. Even though True Father knew this, he still had to go to the North. At that time, many spiritual and heavenly phenomena were taking place in the North, centering on Pyongyang. There were people who believed that the Lord would come in the flesh to that region.
True Father crossed the 38th parallel to embrace his Cain children, but he was imprisoned and persecuted. Thanks to the UN troops, however, he was freed and he was able to return to the South, where he founded the Unification Church. True Father was imprisoned six times. He could have avoided that path, but in order to bring Cain and Abel together as one and register them both as his children, he had to fulfill his mission of the True Parents, even in prison. In other words, True Father was in a position where he had no choice but to follow such a path of suffering.(2006.05.30, Jakarta, Indonesia)
When we consi der True Father's family, we find that he had a great-uncle who was both a Christian pastor and a central figure in the independence movement. That great-uncle also had a close connection to President Syngman Rhee. Had he been connected to True Father, therefore, it would not have taken long to build the foundation we have today. The Korean peninsula was divided into North and South due to the Korean War. Thus, the foundation prepared by God was lost, and True Father had no choice but to begin anew. Consequently, he began his work again in Beomnaetgol, Busan. He also to go through an indemnity course of being imprisoned six times. (2006.07.07, Tirana, Albania)
Focusing on True Mother's words, let's study the background of God's providence in 1945 based on True Father's words.
If Dr. Lee (the First President of Korea) Had Listened to Rev. Moon….
<125-271, 1983.3.27> Korea gained independence in 1945. If the United States had fulfilled its responsibilities, the two Koreas would not be divided. At that time, the teacher(Rev. Moon) was starting the Unification Church in Korea. If Dr. Rhee (the first president of Korea) had listened to Rev. Moon, I would have accomplished everything. My great-grandfather and Dr. Rhee were friends. When great-grandfather was in Jeongseon, Dr. Rhee sent a helicopter three times to invite him, but there was no contact there. Those people were wrong. The whole of Christianity protected by foreign missionaries should join hands with the Unification Church and start centered on Dr. Rhee's Gyeongmudae (the place where the president stayed). At that time, if Dr. Rhee had only listened to the teacher(Rev. Moon), then Christianity would have been fine.
In 1945, after World War II ended, Korea was liberated. At that time, True Father's formula course as the Second Coming Lord begins.
At that time, all external circumstances were in place to receive True Father, centered on Christianity in Korea.
However, God’s providence had to be extended because the first president of Korea, who was born in Christianity, and the prepared figures of John the Baptist of Christianity failed to take responsibility.
President Syngman Rhee did not listen to me. When the Liberal Party was founded, I was a person who contributed to a certain field, but they did not know me. Some pastors began to oppose me, saying that I had heretical logic, and the Unification Church entered the path of misfortune and persecution. A man named Mr. Moon so and so with such a will, who should appear with a banner of victory centered on the ideal of the founding of a new era, was trampled under the banner of the enemy. So, the communist world inevitably entered. If we do not take responsibility, the world of Satan will enter. Here, the land between North and South Korea is divided, and the teacher(Rev. Moon) becomes a refugee. Further, the Christian culture in the United States was invaded by the Satanic realm and flowed into the unfortunate sunset road. That is why Christians who opposed the Unification Church and all the countries that opposed the Unification Church suffered hardships. Korea is like that too. This would not have happened if they did not oppose the Unification Church.
What we can know through God's providence is that if the prepared figure of John the Baptist does not become one with the central figure of the Abel realm, Satan will surely invade and Satan will take the initiative.
True Father said if the prepared Christians and the people of John the Baptist became unable to take responsibility, Satan took the initiative and communism became the central force. If Cain and Abel do not unite, there will definitely be an invasion by Satan. Then they will learn that the initiative will be handed to Satan.
And that Abel must start from the bottom, and the path of Abel's suffering begins in full-scale. If Christianity and True Father had become one, communism would never have been able to flourish today.
What happened to Jesus when John the Baptist could not fulfill his responsibilities? Jesus died on the cross, and John the Baptist was beheaded and died a tragic death.
On the path to Heaven, if Cain and Abel do not unite, Abel goes on the path of indemnity and Cain becomes the Juche force and the Providence of Heaven is prolonged. However, when Cain and Abel become one, the foundation that God can work on is created. If the husband and wife cannot unite, the child will receive indemnity and become a child that has nothing to do with the Will, and the couple will go on a path of hardship and conflict.
Although the unified Christian cultural sphere’s historic mission is to establish the kingdom of heaven on a world level within 7 years, centering on the Christian culture after World War II, it did not happen. If they have listened to me, there would be no room for the Communist Party to survive today. If we fail to take responsibility, Satan will invade and all of our foundation will be taken from Satan. Because they can't take responsibility, Satan invades the entire Christian culture and takes the hegemony. So I couldn't help but go to the communist bloc, to North Korea. I went back to North Korea where I just escaped from.
After World War II in 1945, if the Christian cultural sphere, centered on True Father, had established the Kingdom of Heaven on a global foundation within 7 years until 1952, there would be no room for the Communist Party to thrive.
Failure to do so will result in Satan invading and all foundations will be taken from Satan.
Christianity, which had been prepared for two thousand years, failed to take responsibility, and Satan invaded the entire Christian culture, and he took the initiative.
Therefore, in order to rectify this, True Father had to pay indemnity and make a new start in Heungnam Prison, which can be said to be the prison of the communist bloc in North Korea, which is the satanic realm.
I have been walking through a history of misfortune in which I must find the starting agent for heaven, on the stage of the enemy, which is the world of Satan. Do you understand? Why do I have to go to the North? This is because the beginning of heaven had a historical course to love the enemy, to overcome the traditional foundation of the enemy, and from there, to start and win victory. This is because there was a path destined to repeat the course of Christianity and expand the foundation of Christianity to the world stage once again. For this reason, we need to know that today's Unification Church members are the history of struggles that came out of the history of misfortune. (1983.3.27)
On the stage of the enemy, the satanic world, God’s Kingdom of Heaven had to find a key figure for the start of heaven, so True Father had to go to North Korea. True Father has walked such a tragic history.
You must know that there was a historical course to love the enemy, to overcome the traditional foundation of the enemy, and to start victoriously from there.
Therefore, True Father walked a path of suffering and indescribable struggle because there was a path destined to repeat the course of Christianity and expand the foundation of Christianity to the world stage again.
Wow! When I study True Father’s word, Heavenly Parent had prepared everything after World War II centering on the Christian foundation. God waited for that day. It took more than 2,000 years. However, the chosen people, the chosen foundation, the chosen religion could not unite with the messiah. That is why many things happened: the Korean War (occurred) , all the foundation of Christianity decreased, everywhere there were problems, and communism appeared. It (communism) took initiative everywhere. How important is the personal responsibility of the chosen guy! How important Christianity was as a chosen religion to unite with the messiah!
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: Who is God?
God is:
• The subject and harmonious union of original internal nature and original external form.
• The harmonious union of original masculinity and original femininity.
• The subject partner having qualities of internal nature and masculinity towards the universe.
Who is God?
1. God is my eternal parent.
2. God is the subject of the Three Great Subjects thought
3. God is absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal.
4. God is a God of love.
5. God is a God of heart.
6. God is the Word.
No 7 & 8 I already explained these so I will not speak about these any more.
7. God is dual characteristics.
8. God is the original absolute Sex.

9. God is a being of character.
10. God is the origin of Principle, law and order.
9. God Is a Spiritual Being of Character
<143-144> What kind of spiritual being is God? He is a spiritual Being of character. He is a spiritual Being of character that joins emotion, intellect and will. Because the thing such a spiritual being of character most desires is love, He created people to be his object partners of love. This is a surprising truth.
The human mind is made up emotion, intellect, and will. Therefore, it is said that God, who created human beings, is also a being of emotion, intellect, and will.
However, you should know that what emotion, intellect and will seeks is because of love and heart.
What would happen if God was merely a God of absolute power and without emotion, intellect, and will? If God had no emotional area, how could he feel human suffering, and how could He feel human love? Because humans also have an emotional area, they can feel God's pain, sorrow, and joy.
If human beings did not have an intellectual area, how could they recognize and know God and things?
Also, if there is no will between God and human beings, how can God carry out the work of his creation? How can a human being also put into practice what they have decided?
You don't know how grateful (gratifying?) it is to know that God shares emotions with humans, and that He has the same intellect, emotion and will as humans. Because there is emotion, intellect and will, when God is in pain, I can also feel pain, and when God sheds tears, humans can comfort him.
If there is no such emotion, intellect, and will between God and human beings, even if God and human beings have a parent-child relationship, there can be no exchange of heart and love.
That’s why I really appreciate True Father’s sharing of this truth. This is really a surprising truth! God is a spiritual being of character. He has emotions. Wow! That is why I can feel with him with emotion. He has intellect and will, the same as human beings. Wow! If God is not a spiritual being of character, how can I communicate with him heartistically? There (would be) nothing dealing with heart and love. We say that God is love. But if God did not have character -- which is emotion, intellect and will -- how could I have give and take with him? How can I feel he is my father? He is my parent? How could I feel I am a child of God? I really deeply appreciate that God does exist as a spiritual being of character. If I feel pain, he also feels pain as well. He has a sorrowful heart that I can feel. When he is laughing, I can laugh as well. This I really, really appreciate! If God did not have emotion, (he would not know) my tears and my sweat and my difficulty … This is really amazing truth.
<177-232> Who does God resemble? He resembles His sons and daughters. Who are you? You are God's sons and daughters. You resemble God. And God is a spiritual Being of character. Is it possible that God could be unclear and amorphous? The surprising thing about Christianity is that they consider God is a God with personality and love, with emotion, intellect and will, and a God of emotion and character. This is a wonderful thing. And they consider Him the one and only God. (The heaven that Confucianism talks about is not a personal God.)
Who does God resemble? He resembles His sons and daughters. And human beings resemble God.
And God is a spiritual Being of character, and man is a human being of character as well.
What is surprising about Christianity today compared to other religions is that it sees God as a God with personality. And they consider Him the one and only God. That is why among many religions, they are of a higher level.
Are there any other religions that see God as a God with personality? How many religions believe in God having character? For example, Confucianism talked about Heaven, but it failed to discuss that heaven has a personality.
Confucianism never talks about (the fact that) God has, heaven has emotion. It just talks about heaven and earth and yang and yin. There is no talking about character, emotion and will. Wow! That is why Christianity can call God, “My father.” True Mother said, “You are my parent.” This is really incredible to treat God as a spiritual being of character. He has love. He has heart. He has emotions -- the same as human beings.
If God does not have emotion, how would human beings connect with God emotionally? If human beings don’t have an intellect, then God also does not have an intellect; how can we know God? If we do not have will power, then how can we take action? How can Heavenly Father create the universe and all things? This is really incredible!
Father explained very clearly that God is a spiritual being of character. What is the purpose of God existing as a spiritual being of character? In order to build the heartistic relationship, the emotional relationship as parent and child, in order to build an inseparable relationship heartistically and emotionally between God and human beings. That is why if God does not have character, his own personality, then we would not be able to deal with him. He would never understand my pain; he would never understand my suffering; he would never understand my difficult situation; he would never understand my happiness. Wow! This is really incredible! I really appreciate that God is a spiritual being of character. That is why True Father came to understand God’s suffering. How many other religions know that God shed tears? God suffers more than anyone else. How many other religions understand and believe that God has character?
When God sees human suffering, how much he cries out. When God sees difficulties, how much he feels the difficulty. Because God is a spiritual being of character, we can have an inseparable relationship between father and child. Wow! “God, I am so grateful that you exist as a spiritual being of character. That is why your suffering should be my suffering; your difficulties should be my difficulties. Your problems should be my problems as a son and parent. Wow! I thank God!”
In Confucianism we talk about heaven, heaven, heaven, earth. There is no emotion. How (can we) connect heartistically and internally and emotionally? That is why the level of Christianity internally in terms of emotional level and character is a very, very high level because it treats God as a spiritual being of character and calls him “Father,” not just “creator,” not just “fundamental being” but calls him “You are my father. I am a child of God.” How powerful (it is that) God is a spiritual being of character. Because of that, we can build a heartistic relationship as a parent and child. Thank God! Thank our True Parents. You discovered this amazing tool: God exists as a spiritual being of character.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: Joseph’s Course - Joseph Who Was Born With Good Lineage
1. Jacob lived in the land where his father had stayed, the land of Canaan.
2. This is the account of Jacob’s family line. Joseph, a young man of seventeen, was tending the flocks with his brothers, the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, his father’s wives, and he brought their father a bad report about them.
3. Now Israel loved Joseph more than any of his other sons, because he had been born to him in his old age; and he made an ornate robe for him.
4. When his brothers saw that their father loved him more than any of them, they hated him and could not speak a kind word to him.
5. Joseph had a dream, and when he told it to his brothers, they hated him all the more.
6. He said to them, “Listen to this dream I had:
7. We were binding sheaves of grain out in the field when suddenly my sheaf rose and stood upright, while your sheaves gathered around mine and bowed down to it.”
8. His brothers said to him, “Do you intend to reign over us? Will you actually rule us?” And they hated him all the more because of his dream and what he had said.
9. Then he had another dream, and he told it to his brothers. “Listen,” he said, “I had another dream, and this time the sun and moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me.”
10. When he told his father as well as his brothers, his father rebuked him and said, “What is this dream you had? Will your mother and I and your brothers actually come and bow down to the ground before you?”
11. His brothers were jealous of him, but his father kept the matter in mind.
Very interesting. God raised Joseph, who was born with a good blood lineage.
12. Rachel went through all kinds of tests and difficulties because she had to restore her path of original heart in Abel’s position. What we can realize through Rachel’s course is that the reason why God makes us experience isolation and conflict lies in upgrading the person’s heart.
13. Rachel suffered from not being able to conceive a baby for a long time. However, in the midst of a long ordeal, she eventually repented deeply, gave birth to Joseph, and her mind began to settle down. Usually, we are isolated and fail in trials because we eventually think and live unrelated to the central figure and always live in conflict with the people around them horizontally.
14. Joseph was born when his mother Rachel recovered her relationship with God as she overcame countless difficulties, paid indemnity and repented. As a result, Joseph was born with a good base (quality) of mind.
I really learned really beautiful things from Rachel. In the beginning she was jealous and compared (herself) to Leah. (She was considering) what to do and how to overcome (her situation). She had such a resentful feeling: “Why did my husband not love (me) enough?” But later on she started to realize … through her original mind, and she recovered her original relationship with God. How did she do it? She went through total repentance. Total repentance! What was wrong? This was very important.
She overcame all sorts of jealousy. Then she started to realize how she was wrong and repented and repented. It was total repentance. She went through all kinds of indemnity. What was the result? Her blood lineage, level of heart was upgraded. She reached a different dimension, overcame her fallen nature and changed the … blood lineage. After changing her blood lineage and reaching a different level and dimension and cultivating her heart through repentance, what was the result? Joseph was born as a good quality baby.
This is the point. In order to give birth to a different quality of child, the mother’s repentance, upgrading mother’s heart and reaching a different dimension is very, very, very important. Do you want to have a good quality of child? It is up to the mother’s heart. How much have you upgraded your heart? How much have you cultivated your heart and overcome your fallen nature and reached a different level of heart, different dimension.
That is why God did not give a baby to Rachel so easily. She was in the Abel position. She waited and waited and waited. She was struggling with her own fallen nature. Later on she started to realize, “Wow! I am really wrong.” She went through all kinds of indemnity and truly, truly repented. Through her total repentance (she) changed her blood. (Then) she had a different quality of blood. That’s why without total repentance we cannot change our blood lineage.
15. The question is how much indemnity the mother paid and to what extent she recovered her heartistic relationship with God. And high-quality children are born depending on how much you have the original standard of heart. No matter what kind of conflicts and isolation you face, if your center does not shake and you stay vertically faithful, a child who can be blessed by heaven is born.
That’s why in order to have a good quality child, as a mother how much (one should be) serving God and loving God and always staying vertically faithful. Wow! Actually the mother’s faith is everything. Look at Adam’s family; Eve actually was the center of love. She lost everything. Since she lost her vertical standard, she lost her husband and finally lost her children. Can you imagine? In Noah’s family, Noah’s wife did not have a faithful heart to God. She did not relate properly with her husband. When the center of love, Noah’s wife, lost her standard with God, lost her relationship with her husband, she could not raise her children. Why was Sarah so beautiful and incredible? She had a different standard. Even Elizabeth was like that, and finally Rachel was like that.
I start to realize that the woman is everything in the family. The woman is everything in the family! How can you have a better quality child? It is up to the mother’s faith, how much she cultivates her heart and reaches a different level and (to the) mother’s filial heart and (the) mother’s sobbing heart for God, Wow! You can have a different quality of child.
16. Rachel gave birth to Joseph when she had a high standard of heart after she restored her antagonistic relationship with her older sister Leah and formed a heartistic relationship with God. Of course, the standard of the father's faith and heart should be good, but it should be known that the blood lineage of the child varies depending on the base of the woman’s heart, who is the center of love.
That is why I start to realize more and more that I really need to love my wife. I need to inspire my wife as a husband. The husband’s job is what? How I can inspire my wife. How I can serve my wife. (Then) she has strength and power and feels love. Then her love goes to her children. The husband’s job, no matter what, is to treat his wife as God. Then if the woman changes her heart and cultivates her heart and upgrades her heart, then what is the outcome? A very different quality child can appear. How to change the blood lineage? How can we have a better quality child? It is up to the woman. That’s why as a husband our job is very important: how we can keep and take care of our wife.
17. Joseph's standard of heart was superior to his other brothers from birth, so they became jealous of him. Joseph's level of heart for his parents was high; therefore he received a lot of love from his parents, so his brothers became more jealous of him.
Joseph’s quality of love is very different. That is why God raised him from the time he was a young boy. He already had dreams (as a boy); God intervened through dreams: What his future will be. Wow! When he was young, God already intervened in his life because his level of heart was a different quality.
This is really important. Joseph did not just come out all of a sudden. The mother of Joseph went through incredible indemnity. The most important thing was her total repentance. Even though she suffered, even though she went through so many hardships and ordeals and trials -- normally an outside woman becomes worse -- Joseph’s mother, Rachel, started to realize what her wrong points were.
Wow! What is the ultimate purpose of God’s providence? How to cultivate my heart, how to upgrade my heart, then how to overcome fallen nature and enter the realm of the completion stage which is the world of heart. Then my brothers and sisters, we can have wonderful children. My child’s quality of heart will be much, much better than ours.
My dear brothers, dear husbands, let’s realize today how important the role of the woman is. The woman is the center of heart. In terms of love and heart, the woman, the mother’s position, is the center in the family. If woman have that kind of heart and love, the entire atmosphere in the family is entirely different. I really have to repent, I did not love my wife enough. This is my realization today through Joseph’s course.♦
