Ep 377 - The Cape Of Good Hope And Righteous Hyojeong Part 2

The Cape of Good Hope and Righteous Hyojeong - DP Fall & Ignorance - Noah’s Doves #12

PDF Text and Images

♦ KEY POINTS: True Mother prayed at the HyoJeong Family Blessing Festival in South Africa, “When they (blessed families) fulfill their responsibilities as blessed families and as tribal messiahs, Africa will no longer be a miserable continent, but become a continent that attends You and receives Your blessings.” The conclusion of True Mother’s words is always heavenly tribal messiahship. True Parents’ cherished hobby is to establish God’s Cheon Il Guk through heavenly tribal messiahship. ♦ We should treat all humanity and all things as our friends, living righteously and for the sake of others. At the end of the day we should reflect on our day, how we related with others and how we did providential activities, and assess whether we are growing in faith or not, then repent or praise ourself. We don’t necessarily want to simply have a positive mindset but to be in touch with our original mind and take God’s heart point of view. Dr. Yong is most grateful for True Parents’ teaching “my parent is God” and that “my parent is so sorrowful. I don't want to hurt him any more.” ♦ Ignorance makes us a servant. Those who know, rule us. Those who don’t know God, cannot realize his will. There is no perfection in ignorance. Religions that are far from the heart of God will gradually disappear. In the end only those religions and individuals who know God’s sorrowful heart will remain and attain eternal life. ♦ Father said that the third dove Noah sent out was a different dove from the dove he sent out the first two times. Noah’s sons could not inherit his faith because they criticized him and did not participate in his project of ark building. Children who complain about their parents will never be better than their parents. If the second generation criticizes the first generation, they will never be better than the first generation. This is the law of inheritance. The challenge for Noah’s children and for our second generation is that they did not have a direct relationship of heart with God through inspiration. We need to seriously consider how to help our second generation inherit our foundation. In order to inherit, we need to respect and resemble Abel, participate, work harder and love God’s will more than he does, and forgive and embrace his flaws, helping him to succeed despite them. ♦

Do you know where I am? I am in beautiful Oregon. Yesterday we had a breakfast meeting with Paul, the Montana state leader and the members. Our Paul is a really handsome guy and so kind. I was surprised by his beautiful hospitality. Thank you also to the Ryan couple who always joined us.

We gathered at the holy ground in Mizula, Montana, and prayed together. It was very early in the morning at 6:20 a.m., very dark. We prayed very deeply in front of the holy tree.

We drove to Billings, Montana, for five hours. I saw beautiful scenery here and there, mountains. It was really beautiful. I arrived there at noon. Thank you, Paul, the Montana state leader, for driving all the way to Billings.

We had a beautiful lunch meeting at the Billings church with the members. I heard each of their testimonies, and we had very good give and take. I think this community is totally united. Surprising! Paul and his wife’s leadership is creating beautiful unity over there.

We flew to Portland, Oregon, and arrived here last night.

Today I would like to speak about “The Cape of Good Hope and Righteous Hyojeong” from the contents of True Mother’s memoir.

<Mother of Peace, Page 312-314> In January 2018, I traveled to Senegal for the first Africa Summit. I held the Summit in Senegal because God had prepared a righteous man there, Sheikh Mansour Diouf, a distinguished Muslim leader. Through his efforts, numerous fellow leaders, some with millions of followers, heartily welcomed me. Impressed by our ideals and initiatives, Sheikh Diouf invested himself in preparing for the Summit. Putting his reputation on the line, Sheikh Diouf encouraged His Excellency President Macky Sall to co-host the Summit. “True Mother is coming to bring blessings to  Africa,” he told President Sall; “This Summit will be historic, and your support is essential.”

President Macky Sall gladly welcomed me and provided the best venue in Senegal for the Summit, the Centre International de Conferences Abdou Diouf (CICAD). In addition to his generous support, President Macky Sall also generously offered his presidential vehicle and members of his security team to protect me wherever I went.

Nonetheless, one thing remained uncertain. Even as I landed in Senegal, I had not yet received confirmation of President Sall’s participation in the Summit. On the eve of the Summit, President Sall kindly offered to have a private meeting. After receiving his warm welcome, I spoke about the history of God’s providence, Heaven’s providence in Africa, my identity as the only begotten Daughter and my wish to bless the nation and continent. After hearing me, President Sall said, “I’ll attend tomorrow’s Summit.”

Following our meeting, I was told that President Sall was moved by the sincerity with which I wished to bless Africa and bring salvation to humankind, and by my lack of desire for  honor, power or profit. I cannot verify that anecdotal report, but it is consistent with my experience of President’s Sall’s exemplary leadership and gallantry. The government was mobilized for the Summit, and the Summit was broadcast live throughout the nation on national television and reported by national and international media.

I spoke without a prepared speech on Heaven’s providence and the African Continent, and concluded my address by proclaiming Heavenly Africa, a continent of hope blessed by Heaven, and inviting everyone present to join this initiative. President Sall later expressed his desire to work together.

The following summer, in June 2019, I visited Johannesburg, South Africa, to officiate at the 100,000 Hyojeong Family Blessing Festival. Prophet Samuel Radebe’s and my team worked together for this Blessing. More than 500 dignitaries—government officials, members of parliament and religious leaders from across Africa, including 12 current and former presidents and prime ministers—joined the event to support the True Family Movement. During the Blessing Prayer, I prayed that the continent of Africa, together with the 100,000 people in attendance, would form a Heavenly Africa, a light unto the world.

Today we are going to study the content of True Mother’s benediction during the African HyoJeong Family Blessing Festival in Johannesburg, South Africa. Let’s study Mother’s benediction.

True Mother’s Prayer (HyoJeong Family Blessing Festival in South Africa 2019, 12/7/2019)

Most noble and precious Heavenly Parent! Until this day came about, You have looked for and waited for your lost sons and daughters in tremendous sadness and pain over a long period of 6,000 years. Your ideal for the Creation begins centered on a man and woman who fulfill their responsibility. Hence, You could not abandon fallen humankind. You conducted the providence of salvation and sent many prophets and righteous people to educate humankind. Two-thousand years ago, You were finally able to send Jesus Christ, the Messiah who could realize Your dream. And yet, the people's ignorance resulted in them not accepting Your Will.

As a result, Jesus ultimately went the way of the cross. He promised to return and conduct the Marriage Supper of the Lamb. This is because Your providence can come to completion only through the emergence of the True Parents, as the first human ancestors, to complete Your ideal of creation. Since You are all-knowing and almighty, You created human beings to be eternal. Fallen people have longed for Your only begotten Son and only begotten Daughter, whom You can call Your son and daughter, to be born, and have offered devotions, enduring war, conflict, suppression, and indescribable pain, to see the day they can meet You, Heavenly Parent.

Africa, in particular, has been a continent of much pain to You, with its history of tremendous oppression, violation of human rights, and extreme suffering, and as "the last" continent in the Atlantic Civilization Realm.

Hence, to complete Your providence, You established the True Parents in 1960, and ever since, You have raised Your children through the Blessing that enables fallen people to become Your children. In Africa in particular, the hope of many prophets, kings and chiefs of many nations has been to usher in the day peace reigns with everyone attending You, Heavenly Parent.

Representatives from the 54 nations of Africa have gathered here today to register as Your children, and will be reborn as blessed couples.

Heavenly Parent, how long have You endured and waited? How much have you wanted to love and bless such a day? Your long-cherished desire can now be realized through the blessed families here today.

Please enable them to remember that when they fulfill their responsibilities as blessed families and as tribal messiahs, Africa will no longer be a miserable continent, but become a continent that attends You and receives Your blessings.

Heavenly Parent, today You are here with us at this Blessing! Just as today's weather expresses the tears You shed and the pain You endured throughout history, today also marks the  birth of Your children, whom You can joyfully accept. I pray that You may accept every child in joy.

This is an occasion upon which all blessed families pledge to become Your devoted sons and daughters who will never make You lonely. Please joyfully accept them. I pray and proclaim all these in True Parents' name. Aju.

Our True Mother expressed such a beautiful and heartfelt prayer for Africa.

The conclusion of True Mother’s words is always heavenly tribal messiahship. She says that through this responsibility, we can fulfill our own mission and restore the nation. We need to remind ourselves that True Parents’ cherished hobby is to establish God’s Cheon Il Guk through heavenly tribal messiahship. So without exception no matter what we need to fulfill our portion of responsibility as heavenly tribal messiahs.

Again I will speak about the human fall and ignorance, series 2.

Living Divine Principle: Human Fall and Ignorance(2)

● Considered from the viewpoint of the intellect, the human Fall represents humanity's descent into ignorance.

● People are composed of two aspects: internal and external, or mind and body; likewise, the intellect consists of two aspects: internal and external.

● In the same way, there are two types of ignorance: internal ignorance and external ignorance.

● Internal ignorance, in religious terms, is spiritual ignorance.

● It is ignorance of such questions as: What is the origin of human beings? What is the purpose of life? What happens after death?

● Do God and the next world exist? What is the nature of good and evil?

● External ignorance refers to ignorance of the natural world, including the human body.

● It is ignorance of such issues as: What is the origin of the physical universe? What are the natural laws governing all phenomena?

● From the dawn of history until today, human beings have ceaselessly searched for the truth with which to overcome both types of ignorance and attain knowledge.

● Humanity through religion has followed the path of searching for internal truth, and through science has followed the path of seeking external truth.

● Religion and science, each in its own sphere, have been the methods of searching for truth in order to conquer ignorance and attain knowledge.

● Eventually, the way of religion and the way of science should be integrated and their problems resolved in one united undertaking; the two aspects of truth, internal and external, should develop in full consonance.

● Only then, completely liberated from ignorance and living solely in goodness in accord with the desires of the original mind, will we enjoy eternal happiness.

Based on this principled guidance let’s study Father’s word in more detail.

Break Free from Ignorance

<80-86>   You must know this logic and live life with the whole universe as your friend. Because they will become my vouchers, I must not do shameful acts in front of them. Live everyday such that when finishing work at a company, you must be able to comfort yourself saying “I did well today.” I also always think this way. When leaving East Garden I say “I’ll be back.” Thus when I get back, if I haven’t fulfilled my responsibility, I am shameful beyond words. Then when getting back I must repent. Do you understand what I’m saying? 「Yes」 God resides in such a place and God resides with you through such a lifestyle.

True Father said make the universe your friend, make all of humankind your friend. If you live each day in this way treating everyone or any materials we deal with in this way, if we treat them as our friend, then we will develop our heartistic relationship with people and with all things, always getting better and better. We never retreat. You must live a life of righteousness and live for the sake of others on your own record.

When you look back on your day, you can comfort yourself by saying, “I did well today.” Whenever I reflect on my daily life while people are sleeping. I review when I woke up, what I prayed, what I prepared for morning devotion, how morning devotion was, while having a meal how well I had give and take with my neighbor, when I was traveling here and there looking at the mountains how much I appreciated nature, and when meeting people how meeting with people went. Always I reflect about myself. If I did well, I can tell myself that I did well today. I praise myself “You fulfilled your role very well as a representative of True Parents.” If you can not do that, you must repent. Our life of faith is either gratitude or repentance.

Do not just push ahead with a positive mindset. You should not think that everything must be central and justified and only that your mind should be happy and positive. Many say, “You need to think positively. You are so negative. Do not think that way.” But centering on negativity or positivity, what are we centered on? Centering on our original mind. We shouldn’t just push ourself to think positively. The important thing is to focus on God’s point of view, God’s heart point of view. My conscience knows very well; my conscience is my compass.

<80-86>  Centering on what Teacher has taught, how much has your lifestyle from before entering the church changed after entering the church? Based on this you can say whether or not you’re a church member. Thus, everyone still has a lot of room for development. Don’t stay in the position of ignorance. In order to discover the unknown world you need such a posture and attitude. Therefore when going this path I believe you will not be ignorant, will be able to distinguish God’s will, and become a person who can indemnify all of history. That is why I’m telling you this.

This is very important guidance from True Father. He said to reflect on yourself. Since I joined the church, did my spirit grow or regress?

In my case after meeting True parents I came to know God. I did not know God (at first), but after hearing the Divine Principle when I realized God does exist, it was really shocking to me. It was great surprising news to me! When I learned the Divine Principle and saw True Parents, I became able to love my enemy. Then I had my beloved family. In every way I was progressing and growing. Therefore True parents are my eternal true parents. He became my eternal teacher and always taught me my portion of responsibility. They raised me. In many ways they asked (guided) me clearly about my leadership responsibilities. That is why they are my true owners.

Since I joined the church, I horizontally calculated that I never ever lost out. I gained so many things. What I am most grateful to True Parents for is that I learned that God is a sorrowful God. I came to understand his identity. I came to know, even though he is Almighty God, he has wishes. He has a vision. I came to understand Jesus' circumstances, his difficulties. Sometimes he could not intervene with human beings. The thing I am most grateful for in True Parents’ teaching is that I came to understand that my parent is God, my parent is so sorrowful. I don't want to hurt him any more. I really want to be his real filial son. Since I have come to understand his inner difficulties and sorrow, how can I go back? How can I commit sin? My determination became stronger and stronger. Without knowing TP, I would not have known who God is. I would not have known his reality. That is why I really appreciate our eternal parents and teacher, our owner, True Parents.

To go from ignorance to wisdom, we must always find out what God’s will is. To do this, I must go beyond my own ignorance, deny myself and always communicate well with God. You have to wake up every morning and ask God where his will is today. What is his will for this country? Where should Christianity go today? We need to ask about God’s will by asking how we should lead young Americans today. Every morning in order to avoid ignorance, we need to ask God what his will is today and tomorrow. When we ask God sincerely, this is the way to break free from our own ignorance.

There Can Be No Perfection in Ignorance

<222-65>   There can be no perfection in ignorance. Ignorant people are certain to be ruled over. They become servants.

Consequently, those who don’t know God cannot realize His will. The religion that doesn’t know God becomes a servant. The religion that knows God prevails but the religion that doesn’t know God is lost in history. Do you understand? 「Yes.」Seen from this perspective, is it fortunate or unfortunate that the unification church was born in Korea? 「It is fortunate.」

Father said ignorant people are sure to be ruled over by those who know. If I am ignorant, I become a servant to those who know better than I. Therefore, those who don’t know God, cannot realize his will. Church leaders clearly give members direction to go centered on God’s vision. Those who don’t know God become servants. Ultimately in the future those who know God’s wishes, will, circumstances and heart will lead the world. The time has come when those who know God’s heart better will rule over everything. Religions that are far from the heart of God will gradually disappear. Only those religions that know God’s will will remain. In the end only those religions and individuals who know God’s sorrowful heart will remain and attain eternal life. That is why Ignorance of ignorance is that we do not know God’s heart. If we do not know God’s heart, our body always conquers our mind and heart. Satan rules our mind and heart. That is why   with ignorance, if we do not know something, we become servants. Someone who knows more than I will become my owner. That is why there can be no perfection in ignorance.

Yesterday’s Youth Ministry: The Meaning of the Dove Sent out Three Times to Noah's Family

I would like to mention something about yesterday’s lesson about the meaning of the doves Noah sent out three times.

Yesterday family members asked me a question. When Noah sent out doves from the ark it was said that the first and second dove were the same dove, but there was no record that the third dove was a different dove. Although there is no clear distinction in the Bible, True father clearly said the following. Since True Father knows the background of the Bible better than anyone else, he gave a detailed explanation to you based on those words. Let’s look at True Father’s words on this topic.

<8-224> Ladies and gentlemen, when Noah sent out the doves, it was the same dove the first and second time, but a different dove was sent the third time. The First World War and the Second World War arose centered on the nation, but the Third World War will arise centered on something different. This means that if the direct lineage fails to take responsibility, it will be transferred all at once with a temporary indemnity condition instead of it.

Father mentioned many things here, but the important thing is that he said the first dove and the second dove were the same dove. And the third dove was a different dove.

Today’s Youth Ministry: The Law of Inheritance Seen through Noah's Family (1)

There are important things we can learn from Noah’s family. Recently I spoke about Adam’s family and how to apply God’s principle in our daily life. We are talking about Adam’s family and Noah’s family and then following our series, we will speak about Abraham’s family and Jacob’s family.

Today I will speak about the law of inheritance seen through Noah’s family.

1. God wanted to pass down Noah's faith to Ham. Faith must always be inherited.

2. Inheritance occurs when the person who will inherit is better than the person who wants to bequeath. Noah's son Ham cannot inherit anything if he is worse than Noah. Only when the son's faith is better than the father's can the son inherit the father's faith.

Children who complain about their parents will never be better than their parents. We need to know this. This is very important for our second generation and third generation. Of course, sometimes the first generation’s faith was not so great. However, if your sons and daughters criticize you,  the second generation and third generation criticize the first generation, the ones who criticize will never be better than the person they criticize. This is the principle of inheritance. If the second generation criticizes the first generation, they will never be better than the first generation. Any Cain who criticizes Abel will never be better than his Abel. You need to know this. Anyone who complained about his father or mother, anyone who did not unite with his Abel, none of them inherited. Nobody. This is the rule of inheritance. Ham criticized Noah. All his children criticized him. None of them inherited his faith.

3. So when was Ham supposed to inherit? If Ham had actively served his father, Noah, while building the ark together, he would have been able to inherit.

To inherit you need to participate. Without participation there is no way to inherit. We only talk, talk, talk, talk, talk and criticize. The first generation went to the front line and inherited True father’s faith. The second generation and third generation, our descendants, need to go to the front line and participate. Without participating we cannot inherit. God gave humans, Adam and Eve, a responsibility: “You need to participate and become co-creators.” Without participating in God’s current providence, how can we inherit True Parent’s spirit, tradition and faith? It is impossible. Inheritance definitely begins from participating.

That is why Adam and Eve needed to participate in the creation and become co-creators. Participation is very important. True Father and True Mother said, “You need to become involved in tribal messiahship.” Participating in tribal messiahship we can become co-creators to build Cheonil Guk.

“I don't care. That is his job. I don’t care.”

How should we inherit? What is the law of inheritance? Participation. Participation. Noah’s children did not participate. That was the problem.

4. People live together and inherit when they win over their opponents. A student who studies must study well to win, and a if a runner runs and wins, they will inherit.

Always work together, participate together and get along together. Otherwise we cannot inherit and become co-creators.

5. The fact that Noah's son Ham did not inherit the faith of Noah shows that he was not a son who could be praised through his father.

If your father praises you, it means you are better than he. That is a real recognition by your father.

6. People wish that those below them are better than themselves. It is the human heart to wish that juniors will be better than seniors, and for descendants to be better than ancestors.

7. Ham should have been filial to Noah by having positivity and cooperating with his father, who was building the ark, and even help him work. He should have valued the revelation from heaven more than his father did. This is truly difficult.

Actually this is not easy. Noah had received the inspiration from Heavenly Father directly. His chiidren did not know what was going on. That was not a simple job actually.

8. Because Noah received a revelation directly from God, he was able to voluntarily take responsibility, but because Noah’s sons stood in a position to just follow what their father did, there was a gap in attachment to God's will between the father and the son.

Tomorrow we will talk about the first and second generation. The first generation was so inspired by Father’s word. Without motivation we were directly participating voluntarily. But our second generation did not have that kind of motivation. How can we raise our second generation. That was the issue between Noah and his children. It was the same thing.

9. As Noah received direct revelation from God and established a parent-child relationship with God, he was active and voluntary toward God's will. However, his sons did not. In terms of activeness, there was a difference between father and son.

 10. Noah had the experience of receiving God's commands directly, and he had confidence in building the ark because he had had an exchange of heart with God. However, those who have never met God or have not had any experience of receiving revelations are bound to be passive.

11. It can be imagined how difficult it must have been for Noah's children to believe and follow what he had decided in his heart for a long period of 120 years. Overcoming the number 12 is extremely difficult. It is even difficult to make your heart’s determination for more than 3 days, 3 months or 3 years.

Following such a father for 120 years was not simple.

12. Noah's children were not active in their father's work, and as they were exhausted, they could not inherit. Afterwards, when God's revelation came true, Noah's children looked up to him.

“Wow! God was with my father. Wow!” They started to realize after seeing the result. Fallen man can change after seeing the substantial result. Otherwise they cannot change. This is the problem.

13. Thinking that Jehovah God was with our father, they must have felt apologetic for speaking ill of their father and opposing him. The children were very surprised by the results.

My brothers and sisters, I would like to give you more details but there is not enough time.

I want to summarize how to inherit.

Then How to Inherit?

1. To inherit, you need first to respect him, take him as my Abel, and make him my role model.

In order for the second generation to inherit from a member of the first generation, we need to respect him, take him as my Abel and make him my role model. If there is no respect, we cannot inherit.

2. Second, you must thoroughly resemble him by setting standards of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience to him.

Noah’s children were supposed to be like that.

3. Third, you must participate in what he does. In other words, you have to live and die together with him.

Without participation it is impossible to inherit. We need to participate together. Now True Mother is giving guidance. I need to participate. Now she says to do heavenly tribal messiahship. This is the most incredible way to help True Mother and to inherit from her. Then we need to do it.  For fallen men it is easy to complain: “Oh, another order, another command, another job, another mobilization!” The Jewish people wanted a way to go to Canaan, but they always complained.

We fallen men, no matter how difficult it is, have no qualification to complain. Fallen men’s main job is to complain and complain and complain and express dissatisfaction.

4. Fourth, you have to work harder and put more in.

You need to work harder than your Abel. Otherwise you cannot inherit.

“How can I invest more than Father and Mother?” Of course, this is an arrogant attitude, but as a filial child I need to invest more than my father and mother. This is a beautiful attitude.

5. Fifth, you must love God's will more than that person and have a sense of ownership.

If someone is pushing you saying, “You need to do it.” Then you do it, but you never become the owner. We need to love that God’s will more than that guy, more than my own father. With a sense of ownership, it does not matter if someone is pushing me or not.

6. Sixth, if the person has flaws, never criticize him, and I take responsibility for him. I will protect him under any circumstances. And I will help him putting him in the position where he has succeeded.

If we have this mindset and attitude, surely we can inherit.

Let’s inherit TP’s great achievement through this kind of basic principle.
