A preacher needs to focus on his original mind. Then he can hear the voice of God.
The preacher must be thoroughly prepared to be a living sacrifice for Heaven, deny himself, connect with the heart of God and completely resonate with God's voice.
Preaching is echoing God’s love and heart to people through the preacher’s mouth.
The principle of the universe is that if we have an entirely public mind, Heaven will work.
Every single moment determines our lives. There is nothing temporary, no vacation, no holiday, no rest, no void moments. If we let go for a moment, Satan will enter quickly. We cannot be careless.
We should always live with gratitude, joy and spontaneity, and act like an owner.
We must be the subject of our heart so that it is not controlled by any person or circumstance.
If we obey voluntarily, joyfully and spontaneously and go beyond the level of an order, we become the master and owner. This is the completion stage.
In bad circumstances, even in prison, if you act with a joyful and spontaneous heart, you are the owner of heart and love.
To remain pure and preserve the heart of our original nature, we should have give-and-receive with someone who always preserves their heart.
When our children enter college, meet professors and meet friends, they lose all their parents' first love and are subject to the environment of the world and start to be distant from their parents.
To protect themselves from a false environment, they should always give and receive with an Abel of the Heart and we need to teach them the Divine Principle very clearly and help them experience God and the spiritual world.
Because an evil environment can hurt our heart, a life of faith requires wisdom greater than Satan’s. Be a dove among doves but also a snake among snakes.
Knowledge sometimes becomes our enemy and destroys our faith.
For a wise life of faith, we should meditate on the Word, obtain wisdom from it, discern good and evil, and receive Abel’s guidance.
In order to protect our second generation, we need to promote CARP and PWPA activity so our young people have second generation friends and Abel-type professors to relate to. The professors can protect and guide the CARP students.

170 People were registered, and we had an opening ceremony last Saturday via zoom.
I gave welcoming remarks.
Today I’d like to talk about “World Peace and the Role of Women I” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
<This speech was given at a global conference of the Women's Federation for World Peace (WFWP), held on August 26, 1992 at the Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel in Seoul> Leaders of the Women's Federation for World Peace who have come to Korea from the nations of the world, and of women's associations in Korea: I consider it a great honor to be able to share some of my beliefs about world peace with all of you women leaders from around the world and from every segment of Korean society. We are arriving at an important era of transition into a world of oneness in which we can transcend the barriers of ideologies, the differences between languages and cultures, and racial conflicts. It is not by chance that we women are holding this conference for the sake of a new world of love and peace today. It is the providence of God. It is predestined, necessitated by the rushing flow of history.
Until now in history, the role of men has been emphasized. The institutions of society and the world have centered on men. Unfortunately, we have to conclude that the reality of the world led by men has been, in short, a history of conflict and sin. Is it not because this world is one of conflict and sin that a world of happiness overflowing with peace and goodness has existed only in our dreams? Because most of human history was filled with war, revolution, fighting, oppression, domination, conflict and violence, the masculine logic of power made sense and masculine ideologies dominated.
The present age is different. The world today is calling for peace, reconciliation, compassion, love, service and sacrifice. It is an age in which our current problems cannot be solved by the masculine logic of power. There is no longer any need for ideologies that oppress humanity. In this age we need to solve problems and straighten out the direction of history by the feminine logic of love. The twenty-first century is less than ten years away. Now communism, which has trampled upon humankind mercilessly while insisting on violent revolution and class struggle, is uttering its last words. World opinion has united into one voice saying that there must be no more war. These are signs that the curtain is rising to reveal a new age of women and that an age of the liberation of women around the world has arrived.
Until now, most of human history, centered on concepts such as war, revolution, fighting, oppression, domination, conflict and violence, was dominated by masculine ideology.
The present age is different. The world today is calling for peace, reconciliation, compassion, love, service and sacrifice. In this age we need to solve problems and straighten out the direction of history by the feminine logic of love.
World opinion has united into one voice saying that there must be no more war. These are signs that the curtain is rising to reveal a new age of women and that an age of the liberation of women around the world has arrived.
Until now, history has been a male-centered, archangel-centered culture that made Adam and Eve fall.
The establishment of the Women's Federation by True Parents shows that the era of the male-centered archangelic culture has come to an end, and a woman-centered culture, the bride of the Messiah, has arrived in earnest.
The founding of the International Women's Federation declares that it is time for all humankind to go beyond the top of the growth stage and enter the age of love.
Now, we need to establish a mother-centered culture of love in our families as well. A father must love his wife more than anyone else, so that the mother can receive enough love and embrace her children with love. In any family, when a mother is stable with love, that family is full of peace. Gone are the days of power dominated by men. Now, the era of mother-centered love has arrived. This is not to say that women should ignore men.
When I take care of my family members, I am always concerned (about) my wife. If I make my wife happy, the environment completely changes in my family. One of my concerns is how I can make my wife happy because we are living in the era of mother-centered love. (That) era has arrived. All father figures, all husband figures, let’s make our spouse very happy. Then we can create peace in our family.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Principle of Creation 66 – The Human Heart as Viewed through the Spiritual and Physical Minds
• The relationship between the spirit mind and the physical mind is like that between internal nature and external form. When they become one through give and take action with God as their center, they form a united functioning entity which guides the spirit self and physical self to become harmonious and progress toward the purpose of creation. This united entity is the mind of a human being.
• The conscience is that faculty of the human mind which, by virtue of its inborn nature, always directs us toward what we think is good.
• However, as the standard of goodness in fallen human beings varies, the standard of their conscience also fluctuates; this causes frequent contention even among those who advocate a conscientious life.
• The original mind is that faculty of the human mind which pursues absolute goodness. The original mind relates to the conscience as internal nature to external form.
• A person's conscience directs him to pursue goodness according to the standard he has set up in ignorance, even though it may differ from the original standard. However, the original mind repels this faulty standard and works to correct the conscience.
• As long as our spirit mind and physical mind are under the bondage of Satan, the functioning entity they form through their give and take action is called the evil mind. The evil mind continually drives people to do evil.
• Our original mind and conscience direct us to repel the evil mind. They guide us in desperate efforts to reject evil desires and cling to goodness by breaking our ties with Satan and turning to face God.
Let’s study True Father’s word.
Reaching Out as a Preacher
<36-114> The primary issue concerning sermon is how serious, public-minded and pure you need to become in order to go out and preach. This is an anxious position indeed. You cannot deny that public sermon connects you with God and enables you to bring about a new revival on the earth. You will never forget the sound of your publicly spoken words, and you will be blessed. Through your words, at least one person will understand that in his or her prayer life, they will need to pass through this stage or sermon.
That is why Father speaks about the evil mind and the original mind and conscience. As a preacher you need to really focus on your original mind. Then you can hear the voice of God.
True Father said, “The primary issue concerning sermon is how serious, public-minded and pure you need to become in order to go out and preach. This is an anxious position indeed.”
When I prepare Morning Devotion every day, I can't let go even for a single moment. I live in “hypertensity” every day. I am so tense. So, what I realized is that the preacher, in a word, must be thoroughly prepared to be a living sacrifice for Heaven.
(Being) a preacher is not a simple job. It is not easy to attend Morning Devotion, right? But preparing one Morning Devotion is like life and death is very serious. Father said it is a highly intense (effort). It is tense.
True Parents are saying that in the position of such a living sacrifice, we connect with the heart of God and the re-creation of a new human being begins.
As I prepare Morning Devotion, I realize once again that God has to deliver the Word to the spirits of all people through my mouth, so I must stand in a position where I can completely resonate with God's voice.
Then the issue is how I can completely resonate with God’s voice, love and heart? That is the sermon. Preaching is to make an echo of God’s love and heart appear to people through the preacher’s mouth. When God sees someone and says, “I lo-o-o-o-ove you,” that voice is transmitted like an echo to the other person. So a preacher must completely empty his mind. He must not tell his own story. Wow! Father’s guidance is really amazing, right?
So, as a preacher, you really need to deny (yourself). Why do you need prayer and jeongseong? In order to deny your own self. You should be the embodiment of God’s word. There is no need to talk about your own (topics). How can you hear God’s voice and deliver his voice exactly to people – like an echo: “I lo-o-o-ove you-u-u-u!” How can the same voice deliver (this love) to people? This is the mission of the preacher. It is not easy.
Therefore, in order to really deliver God’s word, you need to completely deny your own self. Otherwise, you cannot change people’s life. This is important guidance.
Go Forth with a Public Mind
<65-77> If you go forth with selfishness, nothing will work out for you. However, if you go forth with a righteous public mind, there is nothing you cannot do. Of this you can be sure.
If you go forth with selfishness – direct translation,”evil mind” – nothing will work out for you. However, if you go forth with a righteous public mind, there is nothing you cannot do.
When things don't work out, it's a sign that you haven't fully invested with a public mind in your work.
Why doesn’t everything work (out) properly? Because I did not invest everything centering on a public mind. If you are public minded, God and spiritual world doesn’t have any choice; they need to help you. Things don’t go well if you don’t invest enough. And even if you invest, on whom is it centered? Do you have a public mind? Or a private mind. That is important.
The principle of the universe is that if we have an entirely public mind, Heaven will work.
It has no other choice because according to the universal principle as long as I have a 100%, 120% public mind and don’t have my own selfishness, the principle of the universe leaves no other choice but to help you. That’s why when things don’t work out, we need to reflect: “Do I really have a public mind or is this (the result of) my own selfishness?”
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: Be Like a Snake and Like a Dove to Live Your Life of Faith
A Person of Good Faith
1. No matter what kind of crisis comes, people who are regularly sincere and have skills pass that moment without knowing because they are thankful for it even if others see it as a crisis. Such a person is a person of good faith. When he is faced with a certain ordeal and feels it is a crisis, it is evidence that his vertical relationship is not good. When a crisis comes, such a person feels anxiety and tries to solve it by using his head first. However, those who have a good relationship with Heaven feel more reassured in their areas of responsibility when a crisis comes. Every single moment determines our lives.
A Sincere Person is not Controlled by Circumstances
2. Our day-to-day and moment-by-moment are directly related to our lives. There is nothing temporary. There is no vacation, no holiday, no rest. The world looks for breaks and national holidays, but a sincere person has nothing to do with those dates. They’re always the same. They always live a life of gratitude. They always act like owners. Human beings are inherently heartistic beings, so they are not meant to be controlled by others. That’s because no matter what they do, they always do it from the heart. However, those who live conditionally are controlled. During the formation stage, we work hard centered on conditions, but after the condition period, we live like a person who has nothing to do with it. When you are young, your life is controlled by others, but as you grow older, you are not influenced by others because you have a sense of ownership.
Every single moment determines our lives. Our day-to-day and moment-by-moment are directly related to our lives and eternity. There is nothing temporary. There is no vacation, no holiday, no rest.
This is really important.
A sincere person does not have a single void moment, so he cannot neglect self-care just because he has a vacation or holiday. Rather, on days such as vacations, holidays and national holidays, you need to be more alert and take better care of yourself.
“Dr. Yong, you are working so hard. Please rest and go somewhere.” We have to be careful. (In) our life of faith there is no vacation, no holidays, no rest, no national holidays. Every moment, every second determines our life. Day by day, moment by moment, everything should be the same. On national holidays we go somewhere and relax; you have to be careful. Every moment we cannot relax. We always have to be tense. We have ahn shi il and Sunday. For me every day is like ahn shi il, like Sunday.
We are talking about a sincere person. Such a sincere person has nothing to do with dates such as vacations or national holidays. They’re always the same.
Normal day, holiday, vacations – every day is the same. (We should have) the same attitude, same public mindset.
They always live a life of gratitude. They always act like owners. If we let go even for a moment, Satan will enter quickly. The life of faith is one where we cannot be careless even for a moment.
Therefore, we should live our life of faith with the heart as the main subject. You have to live with the mind of an owner evoking your heart voluntarily and without being controlled by anyone.
Whatever you do, you must be the subject of your heart so that it is not controlled by the environment. It's not about obeying anyone's instructions or orders. No matter who gives me instructions or orders, if I go beyond the person who gave the instructions or orders, if I do it from the heart voluntarily, it becomes mine. This is very important.
However, if you do it reluctantly or if you just obey, you cannot become a master and always act as a servant. You will always live under control. So, when you do everything, you have to do it with joy, gratitude, and with a spontaneous heart.
Then whatever you do, you can become the owner. Even if someone orders you to do something, this or that, if you just obey, you become a servant. But if someone orders you to do something and you do it with joy and gratitude with a spontaneous heart, then that result belongs to you.
You cannot become the servant and slave who only follows and obeys. You need to surpass (the level of the order); if someone orders (you) to do something, what should you do? The important thing is, whatever you do, always do it with a joyful, grateful, and a spontaneous heart.
Then you will win over that guy even though he has issued an order. With this attitude you can create so many things, and the life of faith becomes very joyful (and you feel so) grateful and happy.
How can I (arouse) my heart? How can I have a volunteer heart? Fallen man is always doing things conditionally and habitually, and when someone orders something, he does it and only follows. He does not have any creative ideas. In the formation stage he just obey. “My teacher or my Abel tells me to do something, I just obey.” This is formation stage.
What is the completion stage? Even though someone orders you (to do something), your ideas are very creative. You always do something joyfully and thankfully with a spontaneous heart. Wow! You have already entered the era of love. That is the completion stage.
Why every morning do I speak about the volunteer, spontaneous, grateful heart? Human beings cannot be dominated by someone. If you just obey and follow, then you are always influenced by the environment. In bad circumstances, even in prison, if you do (what you do) with a joyful and spontaneous heart, we say that you are the owner of heart and love.
To Preserve the Heart of One’s Original Nature
3. In our life of faith, even if we think we have the truth, we see our false points, and even though we seem to have things that look true in our own way, our lives that are not so are sometimes revealed. If I become a false self, a speckled self, and wear sheepskin with the heart of a wolf, I make mistakes. Jesus pointed out that those who observe the church's rites, systems, and principles externally, but still retain fallen nature wear sheepskin and have the heart of a wolf. Therefore, if we are to always be pure and preserve the heart of our original nature, we must always give and receive with those who have such heart. It's really hard to keep your sincerity when you live among people who live false lives.
Fallen human beings have a problem of some degree, and live as a false self, a speckled self, and wear sheepskin with the heart of a wolf. The internal and external are always different. Those whose internal aspect is different from their external aspect are called insincere.
Jesus pointed out that those who observe the church's rites, systems, and principles externally, but still retain fallen nature wear sheepskin and have the heart of a wolf.
I am also this kind of person: wearing a sheepskin with the heart of a wolf, still very far (away). That is why Jesus scolded people. He pointed out that “You always wear a sheep skin, but (you) have the heart of a wolf.” Externally and internally something was different.
How, then, can one always be pure and preserve the heart of our original nature? One answer is to always have give-and-receive with someone who always preserves their heart. It's really hard to keep your sincerity when you live among people who live false lives.
Our children are well protected under the guidance of their parents, but when they enter college, meet professors and meet friends, they lose all their parents' first love and are subject to the environment of the world and start to be distant from the parents. Therefore, in order to protect oneself from a false environment, one must always give and receive with Abel of the Heart.
I will tell you a story. My daughter entered a civil(?) university. Her major was education. Her professor told (the students) to completely throw away the concept of God. “If you write and talk about God and religion, you need to get out of this classroom.” Wow! My daughter was completely shocked. She said, “Why did I choose education? Because I really wanted to deliver God’s word (effectively) to everybody. That is why I chose an education major.” She was so disappointed that her professor was like that. So she changed her major. “If you reject God, then there is nothing to learn from you.” My daughter was so strong.
Most of our second generation and young generation are influenced by their professors and friends logically. They are convinced (by them) and start to ignore their own father and mother and the church. This is a really big problem.
Be Like a Snake and Like a Dove to Live Your Life of Faith
4. If I am sincere among false people, I suffer quite a lot. So, Jesus said that depending on the circumstances, there are times when we need to be like snakes and times when we need to be like doves. This means that you must preserve yourself well according to the environment. It means that you should not be like a dove in a world of snakes. It also means that you should not be like a snake in a world of doves. So, in order to preserve the true self, you must preserve yourself internally in any environment, but you must hide your truth in evil environments. You must not reveal your truth to hypocrites. You have to hide your identity from perfunctory people.
When people live with false people in an evil environment, the truth that you bear is hurt and suffers a lot. So, Jesus said that depending on the circumstances, there are times when we need to be like snakes and times when we need to be like doves.
Therefore, life of faith requires wisdom. In order to overcome Satan, we must live with a wisdom greater than Satan. It means that you should not be like a dove in a world of snakes. It also means that you should not be like a snake in a world of doves.
In other words, there is no problem in preserving the true self in a good environment, but you have to hide your truth in an evil environment. You must not reveal your truth to hypocrites. You have to hide your identity from perfunctory people.
If I announce to people that I have gold and silver and diamond treasures, these will all be taken away. For a wise life of faith, we must always meditate on the Word, obtain wisdom from it, and discern good and evil. And you should always give and receive with your Abel and get guidance.
(It is hard?) to keep our life of faith because there are evil people and an evil environment. Our young people, especially second generation , are very sensitive spiritually. They are easily influenced by God’s word; at the same time they are so sensitive and easily influenced by the evil environment as well.
That is why we need to really guide them properly. We have to be very sensitive (to them?). They easily ignore God, parents’ guidance and the Divine Principle. If they don’t thoroughly understand the spiritual world and have no experience of it, if they don’t understand the Divine Principle very much, they are easily influenced by their professors.
Our children don’t spend much time with their father and mother in the family. Most of their time they spend in the outside world. Every day they need to do homework; they need to have give-and-take with their professors and have give-and-take with outside friends. They are influenced by the outside environment.
That is why without teaching the Divine Principle clearly, without (their) experiencing God and the spiritual world, they are easily taken away. That is why we really have to be careful.
Knowledge sometimes becomes our enemy and destroys our faith. That is why you need to have the weapon of the Divine Principle and teach them very clearly. Otherwise, even though you witness, you will lose because the outside environment is very strong.

(Response to sharing) Just now I saw some content from Dr. Hendricks.
We need to establish PWPA in the universities. As you know I have gone to colleges (and universities), set up holy grounds and asked them to really establish PWPA because there are many Abel-type professors who accept and love God and have faith. They can become John the Baptists and can protect our CARP activity. That is Father’s strategy. That is very important.
In order to protect our second generation, our CARP activity has to be really strong. Then (the young people) can really connect together and can connect to the Abel-type professors.
These professors can protect our students as well. This is like mother-son cooperation. So in the university our PWPA and CARP activities really need to be combined. In order to protect our second generation we need to set up CARP in every college and university.
When they are alone and do not associate with any other second generation (members), they lose power. That is why in order to protect our second generation, we need to really promote CARP and PWPA activity. I completely agree with what Dr. Hendricks says.♦
