How can we distinguish if something is true or false? First, it is by completely denying all our worldly knowledge or experiences. Then we should listen carefully to the voice of our original mind through constant meditation, prayer, and jeongseong.
Anything that comes from the human brain must be denied, and you should listen to the voice that comes purely from heaven. If you do that, you will receive answers from heaven.
Those who are stubborn, perfunctory, self-assertive and opinionated tend to lose their first love and do not have space in their hearts for God to intervene.
Father often rebuked our senior blessed families who were proud to have followed True Parents and overcome numerous persecutions and opposition in the past.
In Revelations, the Lord rebuked people who had been living a life of faith, but who, once they had results and a foundation, leaned towards material things.
He also rebuked those who initially had faith but who turned to materialism because of poverty.
You should forgive sinners with a compassionate heart, but you cannot tolerate their sins. You must first make the sinner separate good and evil, have them repent, and give them a condition of indemnity.
Sexual immorality is serving two masters.
Accepting something without dividing good from evil is the same as Abraham who should have offered sacrifices by cutting the dove into two.
We need to separate our evil and good minds first. Then when you face your reality, you can overcome it.
The physical fall means one has already committed much spiritual sin.
When you correct someone without laying the foundation of heart, he will become your enemy. In order to correct him, you need to invest a lot of devotion and sacrifice and love.

Today I’d like to talk about “Women Will Play a Leading Role in the Ideal World 2” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
<This speech was given at Women's Federation for World Peace rallies held between June 10 and June 30, 1992 in 40 cities, counties and districts throughout Korea> Women members and dear friends in the audience! It is a great pleasure and honor for me to stand before you as founder of the Women's Federation for World Peace. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the members who have come from Japan and for your hard work in preparing this rally. The title of the speech I will give today is Women Will Play a Leading Role in the Ideal World. Ladies and gentlemen, if someone were to ask whether this world is a world of good or a world of evil, what would you reply? You undoubtedly would answer that it is a world of evil. You would have no choice except to say that the world of this age in which we live is evil, and that the nations and the world of all past historical ages have been evil, when judged by the original ideal of goodness.
It has become a world in which people commit sin rather than do goodness, pursue war rather than make peace, champion injustice rather than justice, and express hatred rather than love. Division and conflict, rather than unity and harmony, have become the rule. No one desires to experience the pain of this sinful world. People seek the way to end this sinful world and construct an ideal world of true love, overflowing with peace, freedom and happiness. Members and leaders on all levels, from the individual to the family, tribe, people, nation and world share that one common desire. For thousands of years, since the beginning of human history, humanity has struggled toward this dream and this ideal; yet the ideal world desired by humanity has yet to be realized.
True Mother said, “If someone were to ask whether this world is a world of good or a world of evil, what would you reply? You undoubtedly would answer that it is a world of evil. You would have no choice except to say that the world of this age in which we live is evil, and that the nations and the world of all past historical ages has been evil, when judged by the original ideal of goodness.”
Satan made Adam and Eve fall at the top of the growth stage. Consequently, Satan is in the position of having dominion over two-thirds of the entire universe and humankind.
From that respect, Father has said that two-thirds of the people in the world are closer to evil than to goodness.
Therefore, in order to overcome the evil world and create the world of goodness, we can see this as first having to restore two-thirds of the population into people of goodness.
Based on such a foundation, True Parents’ perspective is to gradually build a world of doing goodness rather than commit sin, to make peace rather than pursue war, to champion justice rather than injustice, to express love rather than hate, and (to pursue) unity and harmony rather than division and conflict.
Therefore, we can build the ideal nation and world that God desires when we set an example of practicing true love and let at least two-thirds of the people around us know God’s Will. Mother said that at least one-third of all mankind should know True Parents.
When we look back on our personal life, we must set the standard that 2/3 of my life was lived for sake of God’s will and for the sake of others. ...
In daily life I need to spend at least 2/3 of my life for the sake of God’s will. For 1/3 I need to sleep, eat something, right? Only then can we say that we have lived a life free from accusation from Satan. When you look back on your lives, how were they. Was more than 2/3 of your life lived for God’s will? Did you really spend time for the sake of others. We need to think about it. If in our life of faith is 2/3 of our life for the sake of God’s will and for the sake of others, then we are free from accusation from Satan. I really reflect on that. Was my life like that? Before and after joining the church, especially after (joining). Before you join the church, God cannot judge you. But since you joined our church and got to know God’s will, then your life is really important. How much did you dedicate and devote for the sake of others and the world and God’s will? We need to always reflect on our life of faith.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Principle of Creation 66 – The Human Heart as Viewed through the Spiritual and Physical Minds
• The relationship between the spirit mind and the physical mind is like that between internal nature and external form. When they become one through give and take action with God as their center, they form a united functioning entity which guides the spirit self and physical self to become harmonious and progress toward the purpose of creation. This united entity is the mind of a human being.
• The conscience is that faculty of the human mind which, by virtue of its inborn nature, always directs us toward what we think is good.
• However, as the standard of goodness in fallen human beings varies, the standard of their conscience also fluctuates; this causes frequent contention even among those who advocate a conscientious life.
• The original mind is that faculty of the human mind which pursues absolute goodness. The original mind relates to the conscience as internal nature to external form.
• A person's conscience directs him to pursue goodness according to the standard he has set up in ignorance, even though it may differ from the original standard. However, the original mind repels this faulty standard and works to correct the conscience.
• As long as our spirit mind and physical mind are under the bondage of Satan, the functioning entity they form through their give and take action is called the evil mind. The evil mind continually drives people to do evil.
• Our original mind and conscience direct us to repel the evil mind. They guide us in desperate efforts to reject evil desires and cling to goodness by breaking our ties with Satan and turning to face God.
Based on this EDP content, let’s study Father’s word.
The Reason Religion Was Established
<257-90> You need to focus on your conscience and break out from the undertow of the fallen standard of love centered on the physical mind. Religion was created to liberate people from the power of fallen love. Throughout human history, the authorities of religion and secularity have been in conflict. If we cannot pacify the fight between the old world and new world, spirit and substance and mind and body, we will be unable to bring about the ideal world of universal peace. Where does that fight begin? It begins within the self. The Fall of Adam and Eve was on the individual scale. The separation of the individual’s mind and body is connected to the separation of the family and the clan. All divided nations become enemies. The advanced nations then try to take possession of the underdeveloped countries.
Due to the Fall, fallen people’s physical minds have a stronger love relationship than the conscience. The reason religions exist is to make the power of the conscience stronger than the physical mind so that it can dominate the physical mind.
Since the human fall began with the self, in order to realize world peace, we have to begin by setting the right standards of the conscience from the self. The separation of the individual’s mind and body is connected to the separation of the family and the clan. All divided nations become enemies.
Therefore, unless we think that the battle between our mind and body is bigger than the battle of communism and democracy between North and South Korea and more than the fight between good and evil of the World Wars and unless we all do what we can to conquer our own physical body and become victorious, then we are still far from world peace.
Without mind and body unity and family unity, we cannot realize any happiness or ideal peace.
How can we begin world peace? The ideal family (and) ideal nation begin from unity between mind and body, between husband and wife . Without solving this problem we cannot realize any happiness or ideal peace. Wow! This is really incredible content.
Father said our fight between mind and body is a more serious battle than that between communism and democracy, between North Korea and South Korea. It is more serious than the fight between good and evil in the world wars. We need to treat it in that way because everything begins from there, from the fighting between mind and body and between husband and wife. This is the issue.
That is why conquering the body or creating unity between husband and wife is the key element to make peace within our own self, within our nation and society and world.
The Standard for the Separation between Truth and Lies
<2-191> We are living in a period of confusion. We are experiencing the world for ourselves through what we see, hear and come in contact with, but it is difficult to distinguish what is true and what is false. So what is the standard to separate truth from lies? That standard is not set by education or knowledge. That standard is set by the original mind. Now, in the last days, we are in danger of being violated by anyone at any time, at having our life and eternal hopes snatched away. If we live by the standard of worldly knowledge, we may be invaded. You must not live your life by the standard of worldly knowledge that you have held onto until now.
Father said, “In this age, we are in danger of being violated by anyone at any time, at having our life and eternal hopes snatched away.”
Father warned that we might be invaded by falsehood if we live with knowledge that we have, worldly conditions and experience, religious teachings, spiritual experiences, communist views, or some ideology. Thus, he emphasized that we must not live our life by the standard of worldly knowledge that we have held onto until now.
Then how can we distinguish if something is true or false? First, it is by completely denying all the worldly knowledge or experiences that you have. Second, always ask your original mind with peace of mind.
To hear the voice of your original mind, you must empty yourself. And to empty yourself, you have to try and listen carefully to the voice of your original mind through constant meditation, prayer, and jeongseong.

That is why we really need to respect our original mind. We always need to hear the voice of our original mind because God is working through our original mind. We need to hear the original voice. How can we do this. You always need to meditate and reflect centering on God’s words. If our original mind were not to exist, it would be impossible to restore each human being. Even though we are fallen men, how is God raising us up? What is God’s vision? God is saying that human beings original mind still exists. As long as it exists, there is great hope to restore each human beings. It is really beautiful. No one can deny that our mind exists. No one can deny that our original mind exists. That’s why we really need to respect our original mind. How can we communicate with God? Our original mind is the best channel to communicate with God. ... You can hear God’s voice through your original mind. That is why we really need to train (ourselves) to hear the voice of our original mind. God always dwells within our original mind.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: The Churches that Were Rebuked and Why
The last few days I have spoken about the seven churches: What were the points that were praised and why were some churches rebuked by the Lord.
The Church that Lost Its First Love and the Church with a Rich Heart
1. Next, we will talk about churches that were rebuked and some of the reasons they were rebuked. First, it is because they lost their first love. Stubborn people, people with strong self-assertion, people who are very perfunctory, and people who insist that they are the best are the ones who lose their first love. The Lord rebuked such churches. This was the rebuke towards people of the Church in Ephesus. The second thing he rebuked was those who took pride in their own triumph over ordeals in the midst of sufferings and hardships. This was actually a rebuke against the Church of Smyrna, who had a rich heart for having passed through adversity and tribulation on their own without having to give anything to others with a heart of love.
The first church that the Lord rebuked was the church that lost its first love. Then what kind of people lose their first love? It is mostly stubborn people, people with strong self-assertion, people who are very perfunctory, and people who insist that they are the best are the ones who mostly lose their first love.
The reason they lose their first love is because they put themselves before God. People with strong opinions or self-assertion do not have space in their hearts for God to intervene. And because a life that is not centered on the heart leans towards the external side, they lose their first love.
The second thing the Lord rebuked was those who took pride in their own triumph over ordeals in the midst of sufferings and hardships.
Father often rebuked our senior blessed families. The reason was that the senior members were proud to have followed True Parents and overcome numerous persecutions and opposition in the past, and they always wanted to stand in the position of dominance (over others), hoping that the juniors who followed would recognize them.
Faith Dominated by Material Things
2. We today also have things to be rebuked in our life of faith, just like the ones just mentioned. One example is a person who does not know their first love, that is, a person who has lost the first joy when they rejoiced with the truth. The next people who are rebuked are those who say that they have come under persecution on a path that is not for others, fall with pride and become conceited over passing through tribulations and pains, and have pride and a rich heart that they have triumphed over everything. The third rebuke is against people who have been living a life of faith, but once they have results and a foundation, they lean towards material things. Another case is when someone who is so poor that they now lean towards materialism.

At first, they followed the way of the will with a pure heart, but after experiencing financial difficulties and material poverty, their passion for faith ended up disappearing and so he rebuked those who served material things more than faith. In other words, he rebuked those whose money became their god rather than faith.

The Faith Course of Distinguishing the Spirit Mind and Physical Mind
3. This is a case where the passion for faith has cooled after experiencing many hardships during a long life of faith, preparing for poverty, tribulation, and even death with a passion for both physical and spiritual salvation. This is a case of rebuking people who are invaded by material and are in a hurry to live in reality due to material deprivation. Fourth, there is the rebuke for accepting sinners even though they have good harmony, serve well, have love and strong faith, and have endured well. In other words, it can be seen as a case of being held accountable for failing to separate the person of the spirit mind and the person of the physical mind. If you cherish people too much, you might even tolerate their sins. If you love your child too much, you will not be able to judge right or wrong, and if you just try to embrace them, the child will become more spoiled. If you only love the church members too compassionately and do not discriminate between good and evil wisely with principled love, the members will see the clergy as insignificant and the pastor himself will be tainted by the secular world.
The fourth church that the Lord rebuked was for accepting sinners even though they have good harmony, serve well, have love and strong faith, and have endured well. In other words, it can be seen as a case of being held accountable for failing to separate the person of the spirit mind and the person of the physical mind.
True Father spoke strictly about separating good and evil. You should forgive sinners with a compassionate heart, but you cannot tolerate their sins. Sins is evil, so it must be separated.
If you unconditionally embrace them in a state of/ not having separated good and evil, the sinner can commit a greater sin. Therefore, you must first make the sinner separate good and evil, have them repent, and give them a condition for indemnity so that they can indemnify it and move on.
Not just embracing and embracing (and simply) forgive them. Not like that. If you unconditionally embrace and forgive them without separating good and evil, I am telling you, it will cause big problems. That’s why (for) anyone who has committed (sin), even though we love that person, sin is sin. Sins are evil. We need to separate and real repentance. Without repentance we cannot separate good and evil . Then give them a condition of indemnity. Without a condition of indemnity they will repeat the same problem again and again: “Oh, Father , maybe someday will forgive me.” They commit the sin again and wait for another opportunity to receive a forgiveness ceremony. This kind of attitude is really very bad. (You need to) give them a very clear condition of indemnity. Nobody can avoid sin. If you just forgive them without giving a condition of indemnity, Satan will accuse you. Satan even accuses Abel: “How come you just forgave him.” You need to have the condition to pay the indemnity so that they can indemnify and move on. This is important. We need to forgive; that is right. But we cannot negotiate with their sin. Many people become confused about this point.
If you just forgive and accept them without suggesting any indemnity conditions, the church will become more confused and the values and standards of the Principle will fall. This is very important.
Serving Two Masters is Sexual Immorality
4. When looking at the spirit mind and physical mind separately, Father sees love centered on the physical mind as sexual immorality. Tolerating the heart and deeds centered on the physical mind instead of the heart centered on the spirit mind will be rebuked. This church was rich in love, praiseworthy for serving one another, and their faith was good. However, it was wrong to tolerate sexual immorality. It was a mistake of failing to separate good from evil. This the same as sacrificing a whole dove, which was supposed to be divided into two. You must not tolerate sexual immorality. Good and evil must be separated. Doesn’t sexual immorality mean that someone who should only deal with one master is now in a position to deal with two masters? In other words, he was supposed to deal with only one Father, but he was dealing with two masters.
What is sexual immorality? It is not just having sex with another woman or man. It is not just that kind of sexual immorality. He clearly spoke about what sexual morality is.
It is a person who serves two masters. Father said that the heart that serves the spirit mind and physical mind at the same time is sexually immoral. You cannot serve good and evil at the same time. The fact that they tolerated it as it is without even discerning the heart and deeds centered on the physical mind was the reason they were rebuked by the Lord.

If you are not clear on separating good and evil, then you will not meet God or feel him. Why? Because there is no clear separation between good and evil . If we clearly separate, “This is good; this is evil,” and our mind is very clear serving one owner, everybody will feel God’s heart, everybody will feel God. To the extent we can separate from evil, from Satan, (to that extent) we can meet God.
Why can’t we feel God? What is the reason? Because there is no clear separation. All kinds of fallen nature is going on in our mind. That is the problem. We are like a man of fornication because we serve two owners, good and evil, God and Satan. That is why we are sexually immoral. We are serving two owners. It is not that we are committing Chapter Two sin. Of course, that is wrong. But (this is not just about) sexual immorality. What is important is your spirit and your mind. As long as your spirit and mind serve two masters, you are a man of fornication because you are serving two owners. Human beings are only supposed to serve one God, one Father. What is the fall? The fall means serving two owners.
We have a spirit mind and a physical mind and they are in conflict, fighting each other, serving two owners. That is why human beings are people of fornication. Why? Because they serve two owners. That is why we need to separate our evil and good minds first. As long as you can separate this clearly, then when you face your reality, you can overcome it. But if you cannot separate your evil and good mind within yourself, when the reality test comes, you will surely fail.
That’s why when you see pornography and masturbate and (engage) in all kinds of things (like this, that is) spiritual sin. It is already the spiritual fall. The spiritual fall always connects to the physical fall.
How can you prevent the spiritual fall? That is the issue. The physical fall is the result. That is why we need to teach (people) not to (view) pornography. Your spirit mind has to be very clear. (If you are ) still confused and thinking about women or men and (have) all kinds of sexual thinking day and night, this kind of mindset and attitude is spiritual sexual immorality. You are still serving two gods. That is why you cannot feel God. No matter what, you need to separate good and evil. If you don’t separate good and evil , that means you are still serving two owners. As long as you do that, you are a man of fornication. This includes me.
