How was yesterday? Was your Sunday good?
Yesterday, we had a special Sunday Service at Clifton Church. We celebrated Chu-Seok with members based on True Parents’ tradition.
I gave Korean Seongpyung(?) to Naokimi and other leaders. It was very beautiful.
I shared True Parents’ words regarding the meaning of Chu-Seok.
President Naokimi shared about the vision and goal of the Clifton Church.
Then I shared about the importance of the giving ministry which is one of my own ministries to help members take care of guests and witnessing.
After the service, we had a lunch meeting with ministry leaders and shared their testimonies.
After that, we had a witnessing group meeting with about 100 members, and they determined to bring substantial results for an upcoming event to celebrate and honor True Father's 10th anniversary.
We are now planning to invite at least 600 people to attend the worship service. We will celebrate and honor our True Father’s tenth seonghwa anniversary. (The service will be) on October 1.
Today I’d like to talk about “Women Will Play a Leading Role in the Ideal World” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
<This speech was given at a national convention for the Women's Federation for Peace in Asia held on November 20, 1991 at the Seoul Olympic Fencing Arena> As is recorded in biblical history, the cities and nations that were immoral in the sight of God were destroyed. There was no more compelling reason for the burning of Sodom and Gomorrah with fire and brimstone or, later, the destruction of Rome. They were destroyed because the people did not cherish their chastity. They did not honor the ideal of the purity of love and instead immersed themselves in obscene acts.
Look at the world's advanced nations today—for instance, the United States, the European countries and Japan. Who can stop the tidal wave of free sex and immorality engulfing the East and the West? As if hedonism, stimulating only the peripheral nerves, and confused love were not enough, the world is now also full of empty people clamoring for mind-altering drugs. All of these paths that dominate the body lead toward death. The mind does not desire them. The mind buries its face in its hands and weeps. The conscience has not fulfilled its mission to guide humankind on the noble road of the law of nature to God's bosom, the original starting point.
<This speech was given at Women's Federation for World Peace rallies in 21 cities in Korea between May 11 and June 2, 1992> Someone has to come forward and lead humanity from this fallen environment to the path of salvation. Humanity, which has fallen and gone over to Satan’s side, resembles wild olive trees. Among them are wild olive trees of the religious realm—the people whom God has found and set apart—and they are the wild olive trees under God's ownership. For this reason God can lead them without reservation. He has prepared them so that, when the Lord of the Second Advent appears, it will be easy to cut and engraft them all at once. These wild olive trees then will become true olive trees and return to their original state.
Historically, individuals, cities, and nations that were lustful in the sight of God were destroyed. Today, God is leaving churches because they have not been able to fulfill their mission to overcome this problem and lead others. The conscience has not fulfilled its mission to guide humankind to God's bosom.
Someone has to come forward and lead humanity from this fallen environment to the path of salvation. There is no way to solve this problem except for True Parents who come as the Messiah of humankind.
One of the really main issues is that of immorality. Even though your life of faith may not be so great, as long as you keep (your) purity before marriage and keep fidelity between husband and wife after marriage, if you keep that standard, you will never perish. Even though your action is not so strong, if you keep that standard, God will protect you as an individual, your family and your church.
Even now existing churches, not just the Christian church, but (those of) any religion, even the Unification Movement, how much can we protect our young children? Not just young children or youth, even yourself. Are you really free from free sex? Or not? This is the issue. How can we deny that we are resultant beings of Chapter Two . No one can deny this. We are really fighting every moment, every second, every day. That is why I really appreciate that our True Parents discovered that this problem came from our ancestors, Adam and Eve. This is the reality.
How can we stop the tidal wave of free sex and immorality? This is a real issue. If we cannot stop this tidal wave of free sex and immorality, then if our movement does not know how to lead our society and nation, this is a very serious issue. Why are most of the existing churches declining? What is the main reason? Because they do not know how to stop Chapter Two.
In order to solve the Chapter Two problem, that problem comes from a Chapter One problem. What is Chapter One? The vertical relationship between God and human beings. If we know that God is our parent and that we are children of God, as long as we keep our vertical alignment very clearly, this is the only way to solve this problem. Chapter Two problems come from Chapter One. We do not know God and his situation. We do not have the proper relationship between God and ourself. In order to solve the Chapter Two problem, we need to go back to Chapter One. The fundamental problem is a relationship problem between God and me, between my parents and me. We need to know this very clearly. If we only focus on solving the Chapter Two problem, we cannot solve it (by focusing on Chapter Two only). We need to go back to Chapter One , the origin. You need to go back to God. This is the main issue.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Principle of Creation 66 – The Human Heart as Viewed through the Spiritual and Physical Minds
• The relationship between the spirit mind and the physical mind is like that between internal nature and external form. When they become one through give and take action with God as their center, they form a united functioning entity which guides the spirit self and physical self to become harmonious and progress toward the purpose of creation. This united entity is the mind of a human being.
• The conscience is that faculty of the human mind which, by virtue of its inborn nature, always directs us toward what we think is good.
• However, as the standard of goodness in fallen human beings varies, the standard of their conscience also fluctuates; this causes frequent contention even among those who advocate a conscientious life.
• The original mind is that faculty of the human mind which pursues absolute goodness. The original mind relates to the conscience as internal nature to external form.
• A person's conscience directs him to pursue goodness according to the standard he has set up in ignorance, even though it may differ from the original standard. However, the original mind repels this faulty standard and works to correct the conscience.
• As long as our spirit mind and physical mind are under the bondage of Satan, the functioning entity they form through their give and take action is called the evil mind. The evil mind continually drives people to do evil.
• Our original mind and conscience direct us to repel the evil mind. They guide us in desperate efforts to reject evil desires and cling to goodness by breaking our ties with Satan and turning to face God.
True Love and the Authority of Resonance
<224-169> If you have true love in your heart, you will become united into one. If you become one, you will be able to hear the frequencies and sounds of resonance. If you strike the hammer of love, your conscience will immediately realize it. Then the physical mind naturally resonates as well. If you are not fallen, you can see everything by standing in the center. All things connected with love relationships become clear to you, whether they are in the spirit world or in your life around you. Everything becomes clear to you. If you can do this, you will even be able to predict the future, and you can travel any distance. Do you understand?
We Must Fix the Fallen Humans in the Repair Shop
<224-169> But humans are not made like this. Each angle is different. To be fallen means that all of the angles contradict one another. You cannot fix this by yourself. So who can fix you? You must go to a repair shop and get yourself fixed with opposing power, according to the original heavenly blueprint. You must fix all of the contradicting angles. So where can you find the original angles, the original blueprint? You cannot find it anywhere except with God and True Parents.
True Father said, “If you have true love in your heart, you will become united into one.” The way for the human body and mind to become one is not possible without a heart of true love for God.
The way to become one with God is not money, material things, honor, or power. Above all, it is a heart that loves and longs for God, and a heart that wants to serve God. That is why the Bible tells us to love God the most.
True Father said that the best way to subdue the body is to serve and love God that comes from filial heart rather than by force.
We talk about mind-body unity and the need to do fasting, to overcome our physical limitation by force, but that is not the best way. I am really moved by Father’s word here. (To) have true love in your heart, what does that mean? If you have filial piety and long for God, have a heart that loves God, this is the key point. If you truly love and long for God, then you will have strong power to win (over) your physical mind. Wow! You (should) truly long for God (and) have an inseparable relationship (with him), rather than just pushing your body – “I need to overcome; I need to fast; I need to have online prayer.” Of course, we need to do (these things). But the most important thing, Father said (to) have true love in your heart with filial piety towards God and long for God, this is the key point for overcoming your physical body’s limitations.
And in True Father's words, when we become one with God through true love and unite with Him, we can see everything. You can feel the invisible God, see spirit world, see your future, predict everything, and see beyond all distances.
You can see and predict everything because of the love relationship, and because you see through the eyes of love. All things connected with love relationships become clear to you and you know everything.
When I study this kind of content, wow! My goodness! I cannot see the spiritual world, I cannot see everything yet. That means my standard is still very far away. I am talking about unity between mind and body.
How can you see everything? Through the eyes of love. All things connected with love relationships become clear to you and you know everything.
However, fallen human beings are at a different angle from God. The angle of God is vertical and at high noon of 90 degrees. What is your angle? Is your angle 45 degrees? Is it 80 degrees? Or is it 120 degrees? The angle of meeting with God is 90 degrees. Even a small deviation in the angle can make a huge difference in the end.
Now, the question is how to fix this deviated angle (in order to return it) to its original state. Fallen humans are broken and must go to a repair shop. You must fix all of the contradicting angles. There is no one who repairs this except God and True Parents.
Wow! (What) is your angle? 39 degrees? 90 degrees? 120 degrees? We need to always keep vertical alignment centering on a 90 degree angle. Then we can see God, the spiritual world , everything. We can predict our future. We always need to keep that kind of standard. There is no other way. We need to love God. We need to have a longing heart for God. This is the way. Everything connects with a love relationship and becomes clearer to you and you can know everything. Father’s guidance is really amazing!
What is the final matter? That is connecting everything with love.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: A Person Who Has Incarnated the Word of God
Let’s study some Bible verses first.
Revelation 2:2-5 To the Church in Ephesus:
I know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot tolerate wicked people, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are not, and have found them false. You have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown weary. Yet I hold this against you: You have forsaken the love you had at first. Consider how far you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place.
Revelation 3:8-9 To the Church in Philadelphia:
I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.
Revelation 3:10-12 To the Church in Philadelphia:
Since you have kept my command to endure patiently, I will also keep you from the hour of trial that is going to come on the whole world to test the inhabitants of the earth. I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown. The one who is victorious I will make a pillar in the temple of my God. Never again will they leave it. I will write on them the name of my God and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which is coming down out of heaven from my God; and I will also write on them my new name.
We can learn very important things from these Bible verses.
Our Spirit Mind is a Church
1. The content of the Bible describes the “church that is rebuked” and the “church that is praised”. I think the words of rebuke and praise for the seven churches recorded in the book of Revelation apply to anyone. When we look at the churches that the Bible speaks of in connection with our life of faith today, we need to think from the point of view that the individual is a church, the family is a church, and the society is a church. In that way, this Bible text can be seen as rebuke and praise for anyone. What is a church? A church is not just an external space where believers gather. The church is a place separate from Satan, a place where we have a relationship with our Heavenly Father. In terms of the individual, the church refers to our spirit mind. The spirit mind, which is the most holy place to receive God’s Word, is a church.
What is a church? A church is not just an external space where believers gather. The church is a place separate from Satan, a holy place where we have a relationship with our Heavenly Father.
Because the church is the place where we can have a relationship with God, rebirth and resurrection must happen when anyone comes to church. We must experience meeting God at church.
In terms of the individual, the church refers to our spirit mind. The spirit mind, which is the most holy place to receive God’s Word, is a church.
A Person Who Has Incarnated the Word of God
2. If we look at the seven churches in the book of Revelation from the viewpoint of each individual as a church, these seven churches can be seen as referring to the seven types of believers in each of us. First, let’s look at the “praised church.” The church that was praised was the Church in Philadelphia. The reason it was praised was that it was a church that put the Word into practice. Second, it was because they subdued those who claimed to be Jews. All other churches were rebuked, but only the Philadelphia Church was praised. If we apply this to our personal faith, it refers to a person who has incarnated the Word of God in their spirit mind. It can be seen as a person who controls himself through the Word.
Out of the seven churches in the book of Revelation, the church that was praised was the Church in Philadelphia. The reason it was praised was first, it was a church that put the Word into practice. Second, it was because they subdued those who claimed to be Jews.
The first reason why the Philadelphia church was praised was that the word of God entered their inner person and became embodied in flesh (incarnated). In other words, the Word is not only proclaimed through the mouth, but entered the spirit body and became life and the substance of the Word.
The result of the Word incarnated in a person is that the Word becomes the subject and completely dominates one's body. The Word is that person, and that person becomes the Word itself.
God wants the Word of God to come into us and become life and become the substance of the Word. In order to achieve this, you have to do it through hoondok until the Word becomes flesh.
How does God carry on his providence? Through the word. In the Old Testament Era it is not clear. In the New Testament Era also it is not clear. But centering on the Completed Testament Era True Father gave us very clear guidance through the word. That’s why the word is very important. God handles everything through the word. When he gives comments(?), it is through the word. (Guidance about) how to raise us is through the word, how to have (good) relationships with people is through the word, how to understand God’s heart(?) is through the word. That’s why we need to do hoondok until the word becomes (our) flesh.
How much are you reading EDP? Have you already completed the one-hour content? How about 3-hour thirty times? And then twelve-hours 21 times. Are you really doing it? We need to do hoondokhae until God’s word becomes my flesh. We need to become the embodiment of God’s word. If we do, we will be praised by God like the Philadelphia Church. This is the first reason. Even though many other (churches) were criticized by the Lord, the Philadelphia Church received praise from God because it practiced God’s word.
That is why we need to really practice God’s word. Then God’s word will become our flesh. We will become the incarnation and substance of God’s word. That is our goal. When you become like that, you can do anything. This is very important guidance from the Bible.
A Compliment to Those Who Incarnated the Word of God
3. It is a compliment to those who have the Word of God incarnated in their spirit mind. Isn't this the kind of person whom God can treat with great pleasure? It is a person who has the Word of God incarnated in their heart and puts the Word into practice with the fire of that heart. In this way, they burn with the fire of the Word, and those with self-domination do not know its taste. No one knows how hot the fire of that Word is. How can someone who has never experienced the hot taste of the Word understand? Did the Word really come into you and become incarnated? How ambitious are you with the Word? Think about the extent to which the Word and your heartistic action connect and work. If you have found your heartistic self in that way, then God makes you act.
A person who has incarnated the Word of God is a person who pleases God and is praised by Him. When the Word becomes flesh with the person's heart, the burning flame of the heart overflows, and the person will voluntarily put the Word into practice no matter what they do.
Those on fire from the Word and (who) control themselves are not known by those who have not experienced it. A person who has incarnated the Word can overcome any injustice and difficulty.
Then, did the Word really come into you and become incarnated? If the Word has come into you and become incarnated in you, your will to practice the Word would be so passionate that no one can stop you.
Wherever those who have incarnated the Word go, the work of the Word takes place, the work of the Holy Spirit takes place, and the work of rebirthing and resurrecting many people takes place. The works of complete re-creation takes place.
That is the power of God’s word.
God’s Wish
4. Then, what is God's desire for moving me and making me act through the Word? As True Father always said, God's wish from the past is to become one with the established church in Cain's position. The praised church in the Bible subdued those who at that time were in Cain's position with respect to Christianity, i.e., self-proclaimed Jews. Seeing that the spirit world praised this church, you can see what God's 6,000-year resentment is. Though the Jews did not accept Jesus even though he came, He wanted to become one with the Jews again through his disciples after he died on the cross and rose from the dead.
Then, what do you think, is God’s desire to incarnate (in) me through the Word, move me and make me act so that I have no choice but to practice the Word?
It is to spread the Word to those who do not know it so that they can know God's will and become one. In other words, what God desires is to become one with Cain, and furthermore, to become one with the established church in Cain's position.
The praised church in the Bible subdued those who at that time were in Cain's position with respect to Christianity, i.e., self-proclaimed Jews. Seeing that the spirit world praised this church, you can see what God's 6,000-year han or resentment is.
God praises those who subdue Cain the most. God most loves and praises Abel who subdues Cain, and those who subdue the established church, which is Cain's church. This means that God loves witnessing the most and works with the greatest interest with those who witness.
Do you want to be recognized by God?
If God praises you, what is the reason he praises you? If you really witness, if you become the champion of witnessing and if you restore so many Cain figures, this is the first way God can really praise you. This is the first (reason).
So, in order to be praised by God, we must do two things. First, many Cains must be subdued through witnessing. The second is to subdue Christianity, which God has prepared and nurtured for the past two thousand years. From that point of view, it shows how important the roles of ACLC and YCLC are.
So, we need to do two things: we need to restore a lot of Cains and, second, we need to really know how to handle the existing Christian churches. If many Christian churches completely surrender through God’s word, through the Divine Principle , wow! Then God will praise each blessed family and the Unification Church because God’s wish is to work centering on the existing church which is the Christian church.
Are you recognized by God? Do you want to be praised by God? What (should you) do? Number one, break through with witnessing. Secondly, we need to witness to existing churches, which are Christian churches, and to raise up many young Christian ministers through YCLC. Therefore, ACLC and YCLC are very precious and important.
It is very clear today. We understood God’s wish is what? Witnessing to Cain and to Christian churches.♦

(Response to sharing) God’s wish is to love Cain. If you really overcome Cain, I think this is the way to really connect to God. The Bible talks about the unfilial child. (The father) lived together with his elder son, but the second son left; (he was a) prodigal son. The father’s wish was to restore him, waiting and waiting for him.
We need to think that, of course, God loves us and our blessed families very much, but Heavenly Father wants to restore Cain through our blessed couples. That’s why when we break through in witnessing and restore many Cains, that is really God’s happiness.♦
