In this Era After the Coming of Heaven, the U.S. government should publicly acknowledge that True Father was innocent and unjustly incarcerated.
Because America was founded centered on God and put God first, it has become a “global culture nation” with God’s blessings, and the Christian cultural sphere has become dominant.
But now America has forgotten God and the early Christian spirit, so God is abandoning the country.
Our Unification Church needs to go back to being the church of the early days when True Parents directly guided us. That is why we do Morning Devotion.
Our church can receive God’s protection only when we become loved by God.
People, families, nations and religions that revere God and are filial to him will always flourish.
To be reborn means “living with the heart as the subject partner,” that is, as our driving force, by denying ourself and living centered on our sincere heart and original nature.
Such a person is spiritually awake and receives the guidance of God and the spirit world.
If religions were spiritually awake today, knew the spiritual world, and were not bound by limiting concepts and traditions, they would recognize True Parents as the messiah.
Though we should not judge them, we need to know and avoid their challenges in order not to follow in their tracks.
Many early members who knew True Parents’ heart and sorrow, re ceived revelations about when they would return from overseas and “rushed” to the headquarters “with longing hearts” to greet them.
People who live by their hearts always have longing. They long for God, True Parents, and other members.
Parents who long for their children know when they will return from school or even when a child who has left home will return.
When we think of someone we long for in our family, we will have dreams about them.
A family connected by longing is harmonious.
The restoration of heart is the restoration of longing.
Love starts from longing.

Today I’d like to talk about “God's Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful, Ideal World II” from True Mother’s Anthology, Volume 2.
<This speech was given by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon between September 1 and October 14 during a 40-nation Victory and Complete Freedom Rally to Bring Universal Peace to the Fatherland and Hometown speaking tour. 115,116>
Ladies and gentlemen, August 20 of this year was the twenty-first anniversary of my husband's release from Danbury Prison in the United States, which was the last of six unjust incarcerations he has had to endure during his lifetime. His release on that day signified victory over imprisonment on the worldwide level and the attainment of the realm of liberation and complete freedom. To commemorate that significant day, and to welcome me back from my successfully-completed world speaking tour, my husband hosted a global level peace rally in Korea.
More than 30,000 core leaders, representing 1.2 million ambassadors for peace and leaders in 120 nations gathered and strengthened their resolve to realize world peace. Now, on the foundation of the success of that providential event, we are traveling to every corner of the world with three generations of True Parents' family in the capacity of the King of Cosmic Peace to proclaim this message. It contains the secrets of Heaven, which God has sent down to humankind in this Era After the Coming of Heaven.
True Father was released from Danbury Prison on August 20, 1985. This year, it will already be 38 years since True Father’s release from Danbury Prison in the United States, which was the last of six unjust incarcerations he had to endure during his lifetime. His release on that day signified victory over imprisonment on the worldwide level and the attainment of the realm of liberation and complete freedom.
Now, as we pass the Era Before the Coming of Heaven and enter the Era After the Coming of Heaven, it must be revealed with an official public apology from the government that True Father was innocent and his incarceration in Danbury was unjust. We need to do this while Mother is on the earth. Resolving this issue is our portion of responsibility. Those in our movement who work with political leaders need to think very seriously about this matter. Our Father was innocent. We need to be committed to this and pray to resolve this issue.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: Eschatology 5 - Human History is the History of the Providence of Restoration1 - The History of the Development of Cultural Spheres
• Human history can be seen as the history of the providence through which God has been trying to save fallen people and work through them to restore the original, good world.
• Let us examine in various ways the idea that human history is the history of the providence of restoration.
• First, let us examine the history of the development of cultural spheres.
• Through religion, fallen people mired in ignorance have sought to meet God by ceaselessly striving toward the good. Even though the individuals, peoples and nations which championed a certain religion may have perished, religion itself has survived.
• Religion has endured through history.
• In its history, China has experienced many cycles of the rise and fall of dynasties and numerous transfers of political power, yet the religions of the far east-Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism-have continued to thrive.
• In India, the religion of Hinduism; in the Middle East, Islam; and in the history of Western Europe, Christianity has continued to flourish.
• Many religions have left their mark on history. Among them, the religions with the greatest influence formed cultural spheres. The major cultural spheres which have existed at various times in world history numbered between twenty-one and twenty-six.
• With the flow of history, lesser cultural spheres were absorbed by, or merged into, the more advanced spheres. Through the evolution of cultural spheres, as they were buffeted by the rise and fall of nations, four great cultural spheres have survived to the present day: the East Asian sphere, the Hindu sphere, the Islamic sphere and the Christian sphere.
• The current trend has these four spheres forming one global cultural sphere based on the Christian ethos.
• This demonstrates that the essence of human history has been the restoration of one united world.
Based on this, let’s study Father’s word.
The Reason Why America has Developed into a Global Culture Nation
<39-180> Look at how America has developed into a global culture nation over the past 120 years. That’s because it was formed centered on God. So, God blessed it. Do you think God will love that country or not? Leaving behind the nation which was formed centered on God, which nations can God love? It’s quite natural that God loves it. Therefore, indeed, the cultural sphere of Christianity has dominated the world. If it were not so that means Jesus is a fake and there is no God.
It was possible for America to develop into a global culture nation over the short period of 120 years because God blessed America. Since a Christian nation was founded centered on God, He cannot help but love that nation.
Therefore, along with God’s blessings, the cultural sphere of Christianity has dominated the world both in name and reality. When we look at this, we can know that Jesus was truly the Savior and that God is really living and working.
The spirit of early American Christianity always put God as the first priority. However, True Parents said that since the present America is living (without God?) and has completely forgotten the spirit of early Christianity, God is abandoning America.
What about our Unification church today? Do we think that our Unification Church is really receiving God’s love or not? Our Unification Church also needs to go back to being the church of the early days when True Parents directly guided us.
We and our church can receive God’s protection only when we become a church that is loved by God. Even the reason we do Morning Devotion like this is so that our American church will go back to being the church directly governed by True Parents in the early days and receive God’s love.
That is why I appreciate (the fact that) Morning Devotion is creating beautiful unity. I can (also) see that every church has a warm atmosphere; everybody is reading God’s word and is trying to do witnessing. I really appreciate your incredible cooperation and jeongseong together, participating in Morning Devotion in order to recreate our spirit and revive the nation of America.
The Common Ground of the Rise and Fall of Nations in Terms of Religion
If we were to examine the rise and fall of nations, we would find numerous instances in which those nations which persecuted religion have perished, while those which protected and fostered religion have flourished. Often, the people who rose to the position of ruler of a nation were those who most highly esteemed religion. So, an old saying has it that a person who goes against the Will of Heaven falls and a person who goes with the Will of Heaven prospers.

If we were to examine the rise and fall of nations, we would find numerous instances in which those nations which persecuted religion have perished, while those which protected and fostered religion have flourished.
So, an old Korean saying has it that a person who goes against the Will of Heaven falls and a person who goes with the Will of Heaven prospers. These words ultimately mean that nations that revere God, that is, religions, nations, and people that are filial to God, will never perish. Just as a family that is filial flourishes, religions that revere God will always flourish.
Once again, we need to keep in mind that people and families who are filial towards God will never go to ruin.
That’s why any individual, any family who becomes a filial son or daughter or a filial family, I am telling you guaranteed, will never lose. Surely God will protect them and that family.
That’s why we always need to remember the first commandment: we need to love the Lord God with all our heart, all our soul, with all our mind. We need to remember these words. As long as we have that kind of filial heart, God will have no choice but to help us, protect us, help our family and help our nation.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: What is Rebirth?
1. In a word, to be reborn means “living with the heart as the subject partner.” Specifically speaking, it means to “live with my heart as my driving force.” Habits centered on fallen nature is just a conceptual life. That is why it brings about death. From that perspective, all religions today are dead. Since they live by habits and concepts, none of them know the spirit world, do they? When one lives bound by habits, concepts, and traditions, ones does not know the spirit world. They are not sensitive to the spirit world. How can they conclude like that? God worked so hard to send True Parents to this earth as the Messiah, so how can they fail to recognize that? It is because most religious people are bound by conceptual, habitual, and traditional faith and practice faith out of formality. Because of that, they are insincere and have no heart.
In a word, to be reborn means “living with the heart as the subject partner.” Specifically speaking, it means to “live with my heart as my driving force.” Everyone, without exception, will be reborn if they deny themselves and live centered on their heart and original nature. I tell you guaranteed, we will have the experience of rebirth.
In short, the reason we were not reborn is because we live centered on fallen nature. That means that we are not reborn because we are false, fake. Habits centered on fallen nature are just a conceptual life. That is why it brings about death.
What is the reason all religions today are dead? If we live our lives bound by habits, concepts, and traditions, we become spiritually very dull and no one will know about the spirit world. If we live our lives bound by habits, concepts, and traditions, we do not know about the spirit world. We are not sensitive about the spirit world.
If many religions and people were truly spiritually awake today, they would receive God and the spirit world’s guidance and there would be no way they would fail to recognize that God worked so hard to send True Parents to this earth as the Messiah.
If many religions were truly spiritually awake today, what would the outcome be? They would surely recognize that Father and Mother Moon are the messiah. That is sure. Why can’t they recognize that True Parents are the messiah? What is the main reason? Because of their concepts and traditions and because they are spiritually very dull. They don’t know what is going on. They don’t know the spiritual world.
It can be seen that they turned out the way they are because most religious people are bound by conceptual, habitual, and traditional faith and practice faith out of formality. Because of that, they are insincere and have no heart.
Is it the same for us? Even though we know True Parents, (if) our life of faith has become like that – very habitual and conceptual, just ideas and theory – and we do not practice it, then we are the same as outside people. Then we cannot blame and criticize them. We need to really be careful. We need to not repeat the same things as other traditional religions. We need to know where their wrong points are.
2. However, since our Unification church today knows True Parents’ sorrow, when True Parents came back to Korea from overseas, many members already spiritually received revelations of their return and would rush to the headquarter church with longing hearts. When you long for others, can’t you feel what they are doing wherever they are and when they come and go? If you have a heart of yearning and your antenna of longing is long, you will feel where the other person is coming and going. This is only possible when the level of heart is high. Even in your own family, when your child leaves home and returns after a long time, the mother already knows beforehand. Even in the family, when you think of someone you long for, you will have dreams. If you become connected through longing like this, that family cannot help but be harmonious. Not knowing each other well means that your heartistic relationship is very distant. Does it make sense to not know when someone is coming and going between people who are heartistically close? Do parents sense the time their children come back home from school or not? If they cannot sense it, it means that there is a big heartistic distant between the parent and child.
What about us who have met True Parents? Since members from the early days of the church knew True Parents’ heart and sorrow and lived together with them, when True Parents came back to Korea from overseas, many members already spiritually received revelations of their return and would rush to the headquarters church with longing hearts.
When we long for others, we can feel what they are doing wherever they are and when they come and go. If we have a heart of yearning and our antenna of longing is long, we will feel where the other person is coming and going. This is only possible when the level of heart is high. That is why we need to live by our hearts.
Where there is heart and love, there is a longing heart all the time.
The common point (among) people who live by their hearts is that they always have longing. They long for God, True Parents, and members. How can we know if we have heart or not? If we check if we are someone who has longing or not, we can know immediately.
People with love and heart always have longing. However, the more a person lives centered on himself, and the more a person becomes dominated by work and lives habitually, the more his heart becomes dry and barren and loses longing. People who live with work as their subject partner are always dominated by the environment and have no longing.
The most pitiful people in the world are those who do not long for anyone anywhere. In other words, when those who do not have any longing go to the spiritual world, they go to the loneliest place. It is a very isolated place.
Even in our own family, when our child leaves home and returns after a long time, the mother already knows beforehand. Even in the family, when we think of someone we long for, we will have dreams. If we become connected through longing like this, that family cannot help but be harmonious.
Not knowing each other well means that our heartistic relationship is very distant. It does not make sense to not know when someone is coming and going between people who are heartistically close.
Do we sense the time our children come back home from school or not? If we cannot sense it, it means that there is a big heartistic distance between the parent and child. The human fall was the distance between the hearts of God and human beings becoming far. Restoration is ultimately the restoration of heart. In a word, the restoration of heart is the restoration of longing. Love starts from longing.
Do we long for True Parents? Do we really long for True Father, who is in the spiritual world? Do we long for our father and mother and for those who have already passed away? How much do we long for them? If our spouse has passed away, do we have that kind of longing heart? If our child has passed away before us, do we have a longing heart for him. Do we have tears? A longing heart is really important.

(Response to Sharing) I feel that our entire American movement is doing our best – reading EDP for one or three hours. Even Christian ministers are studying EDP and becoming Jesus’ true disciples. Wow! Many things are happening. Christian ministers are even donating for the Cheon Won Gung.
If we internally unite and become one, I think we will be able to do anything. The important thing is how much we create a beautiful internal unity. With the power of unity we can overcome any issues. We can even resolve Father’s unjust Danbury case as long as there is clear unity among our brothers and sisters. The important thing is our internal (state).♦
