· You must bow with a reflective mind.
· When we bow, if we do so with the right attitude and heart, we can clear our sins. Thus, if we bow sincerely, self-assertion will disappear.
· Bowing is our heart’s expression and attitude that “I will get rid of my self-assertion and obey before the Will.”
· We remain with our fallen nature without reflection. People without reflection do not know themselves.
· Bowing is the training to cultivate Hyojeong. It is the training of our minds to become vertical.
· That is why we need an Abel figure in our life of faith.
· We need to respect Abel. This is because we will change if we respect someone who is better than ‘me’. This is what we call “faith.”

Today I’d like to talk about “God’s Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful Ideal World I” from True Mother’s Anthology Vol.2

God’s Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful Ideal World I
Imagine two enemy families who have cursed each other throughout their lives, people who would never dream of living together. What would happen if these families joined together through a cross-cultural marriage Blessing? Would the parents of two such families curse their son and daughter who became husband and wife, who loved each other and built a happy home? If their son were to love this beautiful daughter of a hated enemy, and she were to become their daughter-in-law and give birth to Heaven's grandchildren as pure and clear as crystal, the grandparents would smile with pleasure. In time the lineages once soaked with enmity would be transformed.
What method other than cross-cultural marriage Blessing will empower whites and blacks, Jews and Muslims, Asians and westerners, and people of all races to live as one human family? The ideal family is the model for living together in peace. The ideal family is the nest where we live and learn to become one. There we have the foundation of love and respect between parents and children, shared trust and love between husband and wife, and mutual support among siblings. For this fundamental reason, you need to receive the marriage Blessing from the True Parents and establish Heaven's tradition of ideal families. Let me reiterate: To resemble God, the original Being of true love, we need to become the owners of true love. We must embody true love and practice it in order to develop our character. This is the way each of us can become true parents.
The shortcut to realizing world peace is the way of joining enemy families together through a cross-cultural marriage Blessing. In Adam’s family, if Cain had loved his enemy, Abel, God’s providence would not have been prolonged any longer.
Through history, we have learned that if we do not love our enemies, we cannot establish the foundation of substance and in the end, God’s providence is prolonged. That is why God had established religions and led them through the teachings to love our enemies.
Just as we all know, one of the fundamental teachings of all religions is to love one’s enemies. However, the reason the world today is gradually becoming wicked and people envying and being jealous of one another and all religions going on the path of decline is because we do not follow the most fundamental teaching of loving our enemies.
One of Rev. Sun Myung Moon’s greatest achievements is opening the path for whites and blacks, Jews and Muslims, Asians and westerners, and people of all races to live as one human family through the cross-cultural marriage Blessing, which transcends enemy nations, enemy religions and races.
For this fundamental reason, we need to even risk our lives to love our enemies and receive the marriage Blessing from the True Parents and establish Heaven's tradition of ideal families. To resemble God, the original Being of true love, we need to become the owners of true love. We must embody true love and practice it in order to develop our character.
I am really grateful to our Father and Mother, for because of them we can overcome and love our enemies. I married a Japanese wife. I have three children and five grandchildren, so beautiful. They don’t have any issues or problems dealing with Japanese and Korean life. They can love both nations, Japan and Korea.
This is really incredible. Loving enemies.is not easy. But our Father and Mother are the ones who initiated this, didn’t just talk about it. Blood lineages mixing together, that is the substantial reconciliation among enemies. This is really incredible. This is the only way to create one family under God. Even though there are so many saints and sages, who initiated this? Who really initiated really loving our enemies? We cannot deny Father Moon and Mother Moon are the Messiah who substantialized this kind of situation. No one else, through the last 6,000 years of history, has done this for the sake of the world. We cannot deny that Father Moon and Mother Moon are the saviors. This is really a fact. No one can deny the substantial result.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: Chapter 3 Eschatology and Human History
Introduction
· We dwell in ignorance of history, uncertain about its origin, the direction in which it is heading, and its final destination.
· Concerning eschatology, or the doctrine of the Last Days, many Christians believe literally what is written in the Bible: “the heavens and the elements will melt with fire” (II Pet. 3:12); “the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from heaven” (Matt. 24:29); and “the dead in Christ will rise…to meet the Lord in the air” (I Thess. 4:16-17).
· However, we must ask whether these events will take place literally or whether the verses are symbolic.
· To address this issue, we should first understand such fundamental matters as the purpose of God’s creation, the meaning of the Human Fall, and the goal of the providence of restoration.
The Era of the End of the World When Spiritual Groups Which Are Like an Archangel Appear
<3-346> Believers who have long-held concepts and beliefs are all standing in a position which can betray Heaven. Such people are like an archangel. Since an archangel tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, at the end of the world spiritual groups which are like an archangel will inevitably appear and go against God’s Will.
The Time of the End of the World and the Time of Unification
<3-352> At the end of the world everything will be unified into one world. Since many people are demanding the unity of ideas and this world is demanding a unification ideology, there will be a time of unification when everything is able to connect with heavenly ideology.
Even at the end of the world today, if a new ideology centered on True Parents emerges, believers who have long-held concepts and beliefs are all standing in a position which can betray Heaven.
To True Parents, established believers and religions are in a positions like the archangel. Since an archangel tempted Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden, at the end of the world spiritual groups which are like an archangel will inevitably appear and go against God’s Will.
Therefore, the new religious ideology centered on True Parents will surely be rejected by established religions. So, we need to prepare and overcome all of their persecutions and oppositions.
However, since the present time is when True Parents paid all indemnity, we have passed the age when the right of the eldest son is restored and come to the age of the parents. We should know that now is the age when those who oppose us should rather welcome our religion and accept it.
Since True Parents were victorious in paying all indemnity, now, we have ushered in the fortune which allows everything to be united as one world. Since many people are demanding the unification of ideologies and the earthly world is demanding the unification ideology, the time for unification achieved through Heavenly ideology has surely come. Now is the time for really substantializing our True Parent’s ideology.

The Attitude and Purpose of Offering Bows
I really thank True Mother, True Parents for giving us this time to really repent and to renew our life of Faith. They gave us a very Special Grace. Now the entire movement of the Unification Church has a very special jeonsung condition to repent and really restart our life of Faith. So, the attitude and purpose of offering bows is very important. If only we realized earlier how to raise up our children very well. I have researched this content which is very powerful and internal. It is really timely that I share this kind of content with you. Please listen carefully.
1. If we have a heart of bowing from the heart, our fallen nature will disappear. Bowing is not done externally and as a mere formality by bowing one’s head. So, when we bow, we should not just do so with our bodies. The meaning of our offering bows is to deny our false selves and to treat God and True Parents as absolute beings as we make the determination to live with the mind of attending them from our hearts. This attitude of bowing clears our sins. Thus, if we offer bows sincerely, self-assertion will disappear, but on the contrary, if we offer bows as a formality, our fallen nature will remain as it is.
When we bow, if we put in all our sincerity and heart, our fallen-nature centered beings will disappear. So, try bowing often with all your sincerity. If you also train your children to bow with all their sincerity, their personality of living for their own sake will disappear. Also, if the parents serve their children with the heart of bowing to Heaven, the children will become good-natured and their bad habits will be eliminated. In this way, parents’ attitude has great influence on children.
Our training of offering bows to Heavenly Parent and True Parents is one of the best training methods to remove our fallen nature. Therefore, when we bow, do not just bow as a mere formality or externally or just with your body.
If we have a heart of bowing from the heart, our fallen nature will disappear. The meaning of our bowing is to deny ourselves with fallen nature and to treat God and True Parents as absolute beings as we make the determination to live with the mind of attending them from our hearts.
Therefore, when we bow, if we do so with the right attitude and heart, we can clear our sins. Thus, if we bow sincerely, self-assertion will disappear, but on the contrary, if we bow as a formality, our fallen nature will remain as it is. When we bow, if we put in all our sincerity and heart, our fallen nature-centered beings will disappear.
Try training your children to bow from a young age. Try training them while increasing the count, starting with 21 bows, then 40 bows, 70 bows, and 100 bows. There is no better training than this. We need to train them to deny themselves through bowing.
That is why this is very important, how to raise up our children. To practice how to bow. What kind of attitude, what kind of mindset they need to have. To bow to Heaven and True Parents is really vertical training. How to have the clear vertical alignment with God. This is the best training.
The number of the bows is secondary. 100 bows, 200 bows, 3000 bows and then fall down. Rather than the number of bows, even if we just offer one bow, we must do so with all our sincerity and with the heart of attending Heaven. One spiritual group offered three thousand bows a day in preparation to meet the Second Coming before True Parents appeared in Korea.
Try educating your children while training them to bow in this way, starting when they are young. I guarantee you that your children will undoubtedly grow well vertically. If we train your children to bow with all their sincerity, their personality of living for their own sake will disappear. Whenever they are facing some problem, talk to your children with a sincere heart and mind and tell them if you have this kind of issue, why don’t you really try to do a bowing condition, and show them how.
If the parents serve their children with the heart of bowing to Heaven, the children will become good natured and their bad habits will be eliminated. In this way, parents’ attitude has great influence on children.
The Attitude and Purpose of Offering Bows (2)
2. If you just call your children, “hey, hey,” in crude language, your children will flow horizontally, and their personality will become wild. For parents to say something to their children, if you softly and politely say, “Mommy’s heart wishes for you to be careful when you return,” then the child’s attitude will change. However, if you say in a commanding way, “be careful, be careful,” it is not good for children. When a mother’s heart is stable and her words to her children are soft and polite, the children’s attitudes will change. And her own bad habits will gradually be fixed.
Bowing is my heart’s expression and attitude that “I will get rid of my self-assertion and obey before the Will.” That is why bowing is done for my own sake, not parents. So, when bowing, you need to have a good mindset. As you offer a bow, you must have the mindset “I will treat God, True Parents, and my parents sincerely” and “I will get rid of my bad habits, self-assertion, and stubbornness.” Therefore, in a word, bowing is a ritual of atonement. What is atonement? It is doing it with the wish, “I completely deny myself and will have a peaceful heart in accordance with you.”
If parents serve their children respectfully with the attitude of bowing to Heaven, the children will grow vertically. However, if you just call your children, “hey, hey,” in crude language, not using filial language, your children will flow horizontally, and their personality will become wild. If you treat your children and serve them respectfully, their attitude will completely change.
So when you speak to your children, do not do it in a way like a master commanding servants. You always need to speak to them in a manner of making polite requests. Use filial language, “Could you help me a little?” Even when you tell them to be watch out for cars, do not tell them like you’re nagging but you should politely request, “you are a precious body of Heaven, so always be careful of cars, are you okay?”.
When a mother’s heart is stable and her words to her children are soft and polite, the children’s attitudes will change. And her own bad habits will gradually be fixed.
Bowing is my heart’s expression and attitude that “I will get rid of my self-assertion and obey before the Will.” “I will treat God, True Parents, and my parents sincerely” and “I will get rid of my bad habits, self-assertion, and stubbornness.”
That is why bowing is done for my own sake, not parents’. Therefore, in a word, bowing is a ritual of atonement. What is atonement? It is doing it with the wish, “I completely deny myself and will have a peaceful heart in accordance with you.”
You Must Bow with a Reflective Mind
3. If you offer bows without knowing the meaning and attitude of bowing, you end up bowing with only your body and as a formality. When that happens, you will keep your fallen nature of the past as they are and become someone who pretends. That is why you must have a reflective mind when you bow. As a mother or father, I need to repent while reflecting on how much I really have a mind of cherishing my children when dealing with them. However, we remain with our fallen nature without reflection. People without reflection do not know themselves.
That is why we need an Abel figure on our life of faith. This is because I will change if I respect someone who is better than me. This is what we call “faith.” If I believe in the Word and believe in the person I respect, my fallen nature and wronged habits will gradually disappear and begin to change. However, people who do not change even while believing are that way because they only follow as a formality. That is why this perfunctory behavior always becomes a problem.
If you offer bows without knowing the meaning and attitude of bowing, you end up bowing with only your body and as a formality. If you bow as a mere formality, just as the Jewish people were warned for pretending, like a hypocrite, we also become people who pretend.
If you practice pretend faith like this, you will keep your fallen natures of the past as they are. That is why you must have a reflective mind when you bow. While offering bows, as a mother or father, I need to repent while reflecting on how much I really have a mind of cherishing my children when dealing with them.
The training of bowing is the best training method to reflect on oneself. In other words, the training of bowing is the training to cultivate Hyojeong. It is the training to set my mind vertically. And we definitely need an Abel figure on our life of faith. We need to respect Abel. This is because I will change if I respect someone who is better than me. This is what we call “faith.”
If I believe in the Word and believe in the person I respect, my fallen nature and wronged habits will gradually disappear and begin to change. However, people who do not change even while believing are that way because they only follow as a formality. That is why this perfunctory behavior always becomes a problem.
Today we are learning very important things. We are now doing a 40 day condition, including bowing. Even if we only bow only one time, if we put our whole effort and jeongsung towards God and True Parents and reflect on ourselves and sincerely do our condition, we can change our life. We can eliminate our fallen nature. And when you educate your children to pray, their life of faith can become vertical. That is why True Parents gave us all kinds of tools, to become closer to God. I am really grateful to True Father and True Mother.
