Key Points
We should treat each person we meet as if this is the last time we will see each other on earth.
Our time is so precious; we don’t have time to do useless things.
We need to invest twenty-four hours a day to bring even one more person to God's love.
The most beautiful life is to die while witnessing until the last moment.
The best gift we can bring to heaven is to have witnessed a lot.
That is how we can become rich in love.
The track record of love is how many lives it saved.
Our collective responsibility will only end when every person is liberated and hell is empty.
Therefore, we need to feel that the sins of others and of our ances tors are our sins, avoid judgment and have compassion for them.
We can feel compassion and shed tears if we have the collective sense that everyone’s problem is our problem.
Our ancestors and we and all of humankind are connected as one large family under God.
Whatever sin we cannot resolve will remain as historical, practical and future crosses.
When a couple meets in the Blessing and unites, God’s dual characteristics come together and unite and the couple can meet God.
A couple has a collective responsibility to realize God's love. In the age of love after creating a family, the husband and wife serve each other on behalf of God. Thus pleasing one’s spouse is pleasing God. We no longer have to look elsewhere for God.
The family is the temple where God's purpose of creation – the 4 great realms of heart and the 3 great kingships – is realized, where family members honor and serve each other as if they were serving God.
The family, as the realm of absolute love, is where the existence of the self completely disappears and only the taste of love is pro duced, just as salt dissolves in water, then only gives off a salty taste.
In such a family the self disappears and only true love remains.
We grow through the stages of obedience and faith until we are blessed and reach the stage of completion beyond beliefs, position and self where only absolute love remains and where we help, forgive and serve each other without self-assertion.

Bogoshipoyo! You need to learn the Korean language. “I miss you so much!”
Today I’d like to talk about “The Blessing and Eternal Life” from True Mother’s Anthology, Book 2.
These are beautiful words from True Parents. We need to study it thoroughly.
<This speech was given by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon between February 23 and April 16 at True Family Values Movement hoondok rallies for the study of True Parents' words in Japan and the United States.>
How long do you think you will live? All of us think we will live until we are seventy or eighty years old. It is hard to imagine that we will die before then. In this regard, we can all be considered greedy. In truth, even those who seem confident that they will live a long time have no idea when they are going to die. It could be as soon as today or tomorrow. We may even die during a meal or while we are sleeping. You probably have the idea, “I am still young, and so I can live for another forty or fifty years.” Does God guarantee anyone a long life span? Imagine that you knew you would die within a year. You would have to prepare for your passing in a very short period of time. With this newfound urgency, you might actually be happier. After all, you would be able to prepare for death in less time. The less time you use to prepare for death, the less time you will waste in your life. And if you prepare well, you will build a home for your eternal life.
I would like to remind you again. These words are very powerful. They remind us (about) how we can live our life meaningfully.
True Parents said, “We may even die during a meal or while we are sleeping. You probably have the idea, ‘I am still young, and so I can live for another forty or fifty years.’ Does God guarantee anyone a long life span? Imagine that you knew you would die within a year.”
You would have to prepare for your passing in a very short period of time. With this newfound urgency, you might actually be happier. After all, you would be able to prepare for death in less time. The less time you use to prepare for death, the less time you will waste in your life. And if you prepare well, you will build a home for your eternal life.
Anyone who lives a terminally ill life will feel that each hour is precious, each day is precious, and each and every person they deal with (should) feel precious. So we should always think that we live a short, time-limited life.
If you meet someone today, you have to live with the thought that it is the last meeting that you will ever have with person. Then you can live without prejudice when dealing with people. And it is said that everyone should be treated with respect and a generous heart.
When I travel somewhere, especially on a 50-state tour, God really teaches me. When I see this guy, maybe I will never meet him again, especially those who are senior or very old or are sick. Maybe this will be my last meeting with him. “Please hug him, embrace him on behalf of me (God). Appreciate him for what he has done for my will.” When I visit each place, I have this mindset that each person has a terminally ill life, a time-limited life.
If we have that kind of mindset – “Each person is so precious!” – then we don’t want to waste time.
This is what Father is talking about. We need to have the mindset that each person is so precious. Our time is so precious; we don’t have time to do useless things.
During your short time on earth, have you loved God? You want to become one with God and you want to love God, yet you cannot. God is telling you, “You need to be a person who loves!” While we are living in this world, we always need to give our best. We need to invest twenty-four hours a day to bring even one more person to God's love. The highest standard of dedication to God is one that does not want to stop in order to eat or sleep. We should not be consumed by worry over worldly needs. How long do you wish to live? What if God told you that you had to die tonight? What legacy would you leave behind? Would you leave behind something of which God would be proud? The shorter we expect our physical life to be, the more value we will find in it. We can ask ourselves, “How much do I love others? How much do I love my family and my clan? What does it mean to love others, to love my family, to love my clan?” This serves as the foundation to love all humanity. It is a wise approach to life. You will not lose if you live this way.
We need to invest twenty-four hours a day to bring even one more person to God's love. If we live like that, we will become the subject of eternal life.
How can we end our lives beautifully? It is by struggling to save even one more life until the last moment we breathe. This is because God invests everything in order to save each life. Therefore, the most beautiful life is to die while witnessing until the last moment.
It does not matter how old we are. Father said the most beautiful life is to die witnessing in our last moment. How much are we struggling to save even one more life until the last moment that we breathe. This is a beautiful life! How can we create the most beautiful life? Then God will surrender: “You are a man of true love. You have the same concept that I do. You try your best to save even one more life. Thank you, my son, my daughter.”
I am so inspired by some of the members in SR2. A Japanese lady is quite old, 70 or 80 years old. She still goes to campus and witnesses. She moved me so much.
This is one of the most beautiful legacies for our descendants: showing this kind of life style, struggling to save even one more life until the last moment we breathe. We are doing our best to save even one more person’s life.
What if God told us that we had to die tonight? What legacy would we leave behind? What gift of love will we prepare when we go to heaven? The greatest gift is the performance of love.
The track record of love is how many lives it saved. If we witness a lot, eventually we will become rich with love. This is the gift that Heaven will be most proud of.
There is nothing else to worry about. The shorter we expect our physical life to be, the more value we will find in it. We can ask ourselves, “How much do I love others? How much do I love my family and my clan? What does it mean to love others, to love my family, to love my clan, and tribe and to love the world?”
I would like to mention again: The track record of love is how many lives it saved. This is the point.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: The Human Fall 23:Collective and Individual Sin
Classification of Sin
• Third is collective sin. This is sin for which a person is responsible as a member of a group. For example, as a consequence of sending Jesus to the cross, the Jewish people were cast into the position to undergo grievous suffering.
• Fourth is individual sin, which an individual himself commits.
Let’s study Father’s word.
When Will the Collective Responsibility End?
<156-50> Today, are the cross that we bear or the path that we have to go limited to the Unification Church? No. They are related with the entire 7.4 billion people. Until this 7.4 billion people completely become true brothers and sisters, true children, true members and true family centering on God, the responsibility of the collective cross will remain even if missions of each one of you take ten years, a hundred years, or a thousand years.
Knowing this, we shouldn’t prolong any more the collective responsibility that each one of us has to take. We must end it during our life time. As we join our efforts and reduce the time to do it more, we can remove the historical cross. As we more sacrifice and more, we can remove the cross of the national level. When we cannot reduce the time to do it, it will remain as the historical cross, the practical cross and the future cross. We have to know it clearly.
Therefore, when you witness in the countryside, you are not witnessing alone. The reason for this is that as a representative of the entire Kingdom of Heaven, you are fighting for all families and all our members. When one of you make a mistake, the cross that God has to bear for you will remain until you, your family, your tribe, your race, the entire human race and everything related with each one of you suffer.
God has connected everything centering on an individual. Therefore, when each one of you cannot accomplish the responsibility during your lifetime, it will remain as a problem of the historical cross. You have to know it. Because He was not able to remove completely the cross that He had to bear at that time, for two thousand years, Jesus has been bearing crosses of individual, family, race, nation and world at each age. However, the path of this cross has not ended yet.
The Lord at the Second Advent has to inherit it. Unless the Lord accomplishes the cross of individual, family, race, nation and world both physically and spiritually on the earth, the cross of Jesus will not end, nor will the cross of God, nor will the cross of our members, nor will the cross of all human beings. Because of such collective responsibility, the cross that your parents bear is your cross, the cross that your elder brother bears is the cross of your younger brother, the cross that your younger brother bears is the cross of your parents and your elder brother. Therefore, today, we should unite and keep step each other and act together, so we can indemnify all at once. How can we establish the entire indemnity condition? This is the mission that we have to accomplish today.
When will our collective responsibility end? Until all humankind is liberated and hell is completely liberated, our collective responsibility for the cross will remain.
It is said that God, as a parent has a sense of collective responsibility and the heart to liberate all of humankind as his children. From that point of view, we also need to know that all human beings have a joint responsibility as brothers and sisters who share God's lineage.
The stronger the collective responsibility is, the more we must live for the sake of the other. We can never live only for self-salvation and our family. In this way, if we all share God's lineage and live with the collective responsibility of being brothers and sisters, we will feel the other person's sins as our sins and our ancestors' sins as our sins.
And rather than having a heart of judgment for their sins and faults, we must have the heart of infinite compassion and tears. Therefore, we must have a strong sense of collective consciousness as one family under one God.
How can we have that kind of infinite compassion and tears all the time? When we truly feel collective responsibility, everything is related to us directly. Not just to Heavenly God, not just True Parents, but all of humankind are each children of God. Especially blessed families: we share God’s blood lineage. We have the same Heavenly Parent, same True Parents. If anyone has a problem, that problem is our own problem. We need that kind of collective heart, collective sense, collective responsibility. Then everyone’s problem becomes our problem. Then automatically we can feel compassion and shed tears.
The spirits who have come so far and all humankind remaining on earth are connected collectively with God and “me.” Just as all our nerves focus ( on) one part of our body when it hurts, all human beings, including the spirit world, are connected collectively in this way. It cannot be separated even if we tried.
Knowing this, we shouldn’t prolong any more the collective responsibility that each one of us has to take. We must end it during our life time. When we cannot reduce the time to do it, it will remain as the historical cross, the practical cross and the future cross.
True Mother said she wants to end everything in her generation. “We cannot delay any more. Our Heavenly Parent cannot suffer any more.” As a mother True Mother really has that kind of collective sense, collective responsibility, collective heart to liberate God and console him and to save all humankind... as the messiah. Each of our Unification Church members has that kind of collective responsibility. We can treat all humankind as our real brothers and sisters and real family members. Then our heart becomes bigger like (that of) God.
Therefore when one of us makes a mistake, the cross that God has to bear for us will remain until we, our family, our tribe, our race, the entire human race and everything related with each one of us suffers.
Because of such collective responsibility, the cross that our parents bear is our cross, the cross that our elder brother bears is the cross of our younger brother, the cross that our younger brother bears is the cross of our parents and our elder brother.
Recently I have been so inspired about the concept of collective responsibility. It is not just about our own individual salvation, our own family salvation, but we need to think of our tribe, our nation and all humankind, including our ancestors.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: The Meaning of the Blessing and the Era of Love
Couples have a Collective Responsibility to Realize God's Love
1. Through the Principle, we learned that God exists as a dual characteristics. Men are born on this earth as the substance of God's masculine internal character, and women are born as the substance of God's feminine internal character. Therefore, when a man and a woman who resemble God's dual characteristics become one, they will appear as substantial Gods in the flesh. In that sense, a woman's God is a man, and a man's God is a woman. Both couples have a shared responsibility to realize God's love. Therefore, both husband and wife must serve each other with a heart that serves God. Do all husbands here today use formal language to their wives and children? And do all wives use formal language towards their husbands and children? The place where a man and a woman become one is the place where God's dual characteristics come together in a substantial physical body. Therefore, there is no way to meet God unless the husband and wife meet each other and become a couple. No matter how much one person tries to cultivate themselves, they cannot realize the substantial love of God. After starting a family, husbands and wives can meet God only through their spouses.
This is the essence of the Principle of Creation.
God exists as dual characteristics.
The place where a man and a woman become one is the place where God's dual characteristics come together in a substantial physical body. Therefore, there is no way to meet God unless the husband and wife meet each other and become a couple. A couple has a collective responsibility to realize God's love.
Before receiving the Blessing, they had the era of obedience towards their parents and the era of faith. After creating a family, the husband and wife enter the age of love where they serve each other on behalf of God.
Therefore, pleasing the husband is pleasing God, and pleasing the wife is pleasing God. We no longer have to look elsewhere for God.
Can Christianity teach in this way? True Parents’ guidance is amazing! There is no need to look for God any more. Who is the substantial God? Our spouse, our family members. What powerful guidance!
What Kind of Position is the Blessing?
2. Why did True Father keep emphasizing that God said, “He wants to be in a family”? This is because the family is the temple where every member should always be closest to each other, honor each other, and serve each other as if they were serving God.
Therefore, blessed families must know how precious is the family that they are in. What kind of position is the Blessing? It is the complete elimination of the self-centered life that had been centered on Satan until this day, and the entry into the era of absolute love and complete denial of 'self-centeredness.' The realm of absolute love is a place where the self itself ceases to exist and only love exists. In a family, there is no husband, no wife, no parents, and no children. Only love is the subject and it is a place where we serve each other. When that happens, God dwells in that family.
The family is the most precious place because it is the place where God's purpose of creation is realized. God's purpose of creation is not fulfilled at work, at school, or in the outer environment. The family is the place where God's 4 great realms of heart and 3 great kingships take place. Our family is the place where God's will is fulfilled.
Therefore, a family is the temple where every member should always be closest to each other, honor each other, and serve each other as if they were serving God.
What kind of position is the Blessing? It is the complete elimination of the self-centered life that had been centered on Satan until this day, and the entry into the era of absolute love and complete denial of self-centeredness.
The realm of absolute love is a place where the existence of the self completely disappears and only the taste of love is produced, just as salt dissolves in water and only gives off a salty taste.
So, in a family, there is no husband, no wife, no parents, no children, and only love remains, just as salt dissolves in water and produces only salty water. Therefore, we must only serve each other and the existence of self must disappear. Only then can a family be harmonious and (be) a family where only true love exists.
True love is the center. Everybody exists for the sake of true love beyond the concept of the husband, wife, parents, children and grandparents.
The Meaning of the Blessing and the Era of Love
3.(2.) The position of receiving the Blessing and entering the age of love is the position where only love exists beyond any rituals, systems, beliefs, and the words of the Bible. In other words, it is a place where only love exists beyond the concepts of parents, spouses, siblings, and children. Therefore, all you have to do is absolutely love and serve each other. There is only absolute faith, absolute love, absolute obedience, and absolute service to the other person. It is a place where the existence of self completely disappears and one exists only for the sake of the other person.
Therefore, after the Blessing, the concept of ‘I’ must never exist. Even after the Blessing, if you have the concept of self, and if you have your own opinion, you will end up fighting and eventually divorce. Can a couple who assert themselves not fight? Can they not get a divorce? So, after the blessing, you can never assert yourself. There can be no concept of ‘I’. If there is a concept of 'I', it is an 'I' only because of the other person. Can you assert yourself in a family like this ? Is there anything else that's better in the family besides existing for the sake of each other, helping each other, forgiving each other, and serving each other? Is there anything else besides this? If there is a person who asserts himself in the family, that person will be ruined and the family will be ruined.
The first stage goes through the age of formation, the age of obedience. Next goes through the age of growth, the age of faith. Next comes the age of completion, receiving blessings and entering the age of love. This is a place where all rituals, systems, beliefs, and the words of the Bible pass away and only love exists.
It is a place where only love exists beyond the concepts of parents, spouses, siblings, and children. Therefore, all we have to do is absolutely love and serve each other.
There is only absolute faith, absolute love, absolute obedience, and absolute service to the other person. It is a place where the existence of self completely disappears just as salt dissolves in water, where one exists only for the sake of the other person.
Can we assert ourself in a family like this? Is there anything else that's better in the family besides existing for the sake of each other, helping each other, forgiving each other, and serving each other? Is there anything else besides this? If there is a person who asserts himself in the family, that person will be ruined and the family will be ruined.
The realm of absolute love is incredible!
Today I talked about “The Meaning of the Blessing and the Era of Love.”
