Key Points
Because the UN has not succeeded in creating world peace, the mission of UPF is to renew the existing United Nations and provide a new level of leadership as an Abel-type UN.
FFWPU in the position of God, UPF in the role of the men’s UN, WFWP as the women’s UN, and YSP as the children’s UN form a Four Position Foundation as the “most basic organizations” for realizing world peace.
In the last days True Parents replace Satan as the owners and welcome the new heaven and new earth.
Through the Holy Wine Ceremony and Blessing Ceremony we are to completely “clear off” our Satan-centered fallen nature, existing habits, and traditions, to end conflicts and to realize harmony in our family, tribe, nation and world.
In the Last Days “parentism” and “heartism” or “hyojeongism” centered on True Parents will replace the principle of brothers and sisters centering on democracy and communism.
We need to be educated to live with filial piety and heart, to love God first, then True Parents, then the world, the nation, and our own family.
We need to create a spring-like cultural sphere which is a revolution of heart centered on True Parents in which a new civilization of arts and language will emerge.
If we believe purely in the word as it is, meditate on it, treasure it, practice it and attend God, we will be transformed and miracles will happen.
Then to a surprising degree we will be born again, our character will be transformed and we will inherit from God.
When we genuinely believe in the word and practice it, we will become more compassionate and forgiving, the Holy Spirit will help us, our heart will change and miracles will happen.
The words of Jesus and True Parents have absolute authority because they are officially recognized by God, Satan and the spiritual world as “the way (of salvation), the truth and the light,” and as the messiah.
No one can come to God except through them.
Through them we can shed our fallen nature and recover our original nature.
We are the blessed among the blessed to live at the same time as True Parents – now True Mother – to have participated in their providence and victory, to have received the Blessing from them, and to have become God’s children.

Today I’d like to talk about “God's Ideal Family and the Kingdom of the Peaceful Ideal World I” from True Mother’s Anthology, Volume 2.
<This speech was given by Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon between October 3 and October 14, 2005 during a speaking tour in Japan to mark the launch of the Universal Peace Federation.>
Good evening. I address you as leaders from around the globe who do not hesitate to make extraordinary efforts for the realization of world peace. I would like to express my deepest gratitude for your presence here tonight in spite of your very busy schedules. Ladies and gentlemen, as we begin the twenty-first century, we find ourselves at a truly historic turning point. We are at a point of decision. Can everlasting world peace take root, or are we doomed to repeat the twentieth century's dark and oppressive history of war and conflict? The twentieth century was a period of ceaseless struggle, including wars for colonial dominion, the First and Second World Wars, the Korean War, and the Cold War. Living through this era, my husband and I have dedicated our lives entirely to the accomplishment of God's ideal of peace. We have always prayed sincerely that the United Nations, founded after the Second World War, would be an institution of peace, and that it would uphold God's Will for the realization of eternal world peace.
The United Nations has made important contributions for peace. Nevertheless, at its sixtieth anniversary there is a broad consensus, both inside and outside the organization that the UN has yet to discover the way to fulfill its founding purposes. The number of member states is nearly 200, and the offices of these states do little more than represent and even insist on their own interests. They seem inherently unable to resolve conflicts and achieve peace. For these reasons, I declare today before all humanity the founding of a new international organization, the Universal Peace Federation. Its mission is to renew the existing United Nations and provide a new level of leadership as an Abel-type UN; that is, an organization whose efforts for peace are offered to Heaven, that can invest itself ceaselessly in serving for the sake of others. To commemorate this day in its fullness, I am declaring a message from God to all people living in this age. It is entitled, “God's Ideal Family and the Kingdom for the Peaceful Ideal World.”
The United Nations, founded in 1945, has made important contributions for peace. Nevertheless, at its sixtieth anniversary there is a broad consensus, both inside and outside the organization, that the UN has yet to discover the way to fulfill its founding purposes.
The number of member states is nearly 200, and the offices of these states do little more than represent and even insist on their own interests. They seem inherently unable to resolve conflicts and achieve peace.
For these reasons, True Parents said, “I declare today before all humanity the founding of a new international organization, the Universal Peace Federation. Its mission is to renew the existing United Nations and provide a new level of leadership as an Abel-type UN; that is, an organization whose efforts for peace are offered to Heaven, that can invest itself ceaselessly in serving for the sake of others.”
The structure of the ideal world of peace is the expanded world of the four position foundation that realizes the ideal family. The organization which is in the same position as God is the Family Federation. We can say that the organization that must fulfill the role of the men’s UN is Universal Peace Federation, and the organization that must fulfill the role of the women’s UN is Women’s Federation for World Peace, and the organization that must fulfill the children’s UN is YSP.
Therefore, these 4 organizations are the most basic organizations in realizing world peace.
Now we are very much focused on these four organizations. The Women’s Federation for World Peace is not just under some organization. It has a very important role as the role of the woman at the UN. Let’s support it.
LIVING DIVINE PRINCIPLE: Chapter 3 - Eschatology and Human History 1 - Introduction
• We dwell in ignorance of history, uncertain about its origin, the direction in which it is heading, and its final destination.
• Concerning eschatology, or the doctrine of the Last Days, many Christians believe literally what is written in the Bible: "the heavens...and the elements will melt with fire" (II Pet. 3:12); "the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light and the stars will fall from heaven" (Matt. 24:29); and "the dead in Christ will rise...to meet the Lord in the air" (I Thess. 4:16-17).
• However, we must ask whether these events will take place literally or whether the verses are symbolic.
• To address this issue, we should first understand such fundamental matters as the purpose of God's creation, the meaning of the human Fall, and the goal of the providence of restoration.
In Order to Understand Issues About the Last Days
1. In order to understand issues about the Last Days, we need to know about the origin of human history, and also its process. Because we didn’t know about its origin, we couldn’t know about the Last Days either.
2. Since human beings don’t know about the origin and the process of human history, we do not know about the Last Days either.
3. But thanks to True Parents’ teaching, we can know about the origin and process of human history and other issues such as ‘Where are we in the course of restoration?’ and ‘Which way must we go?’
The Last Days is an era when the age in which Satan became the owner perishes and True Parents become the owners and welcome the new heaven and new earth.
The Holy Wine Ceremony and Blessing Ceremony that we participate in are ceremonies in which we completely end Satan’s Last Days. Therefore, those who are blessed should graduate from the past age Last Days and become new people of the new age.
Have we cleared off the Last Days? We still need to completely clear off the Satan-centered fallen nature, existing habits, and traditions, which are vestiges of Satan. Even though we may have received the Blessing, if we still maintain our existing habits, fallen nature and traditions and still have these vestiges of Satan, that means we have not yet graduated from the Last Days.
Once we meet True Parents, clear off our fallen nature, become new people and enter the age of the new era, then we are different people. (We have passed) the turning point.
Has our family cleared the Last Days? Does our couple no longer have conflicts? Is our couple united and always realizing harmony? Then we have already graduated from and cleared off the Last Days.
Furthermore, has our tribe cleared off the Last Days?
Has our nation cleared off the Last Days?
Has our world cleared off the Last Days?
Even though we are living in the Cheon Il Guk era, it is still the Last Days for many of us. We have not yet cleared off the Last Days.
Clearing off the Last Days means we have become a completely new person. We are living in the new era; we are(?) coming to the Era of Cheon Il Guk. How much have we eliminated our own fallen nature? How much have we overcome struggling between husband and wife? How much have we cleared up the relationship between parents and children? We need to think about that. The era of Cheon Il Guk requires us to clear off the Last Days. If we clear off the Last Days, we will have a different era, a different time, a new heaven and a new earth – a new subject(!). When we study about the Last Days, do you think like that? I do. That is why I am talking about it.
Finally, the Principle of Parents Must Appear
<15-267> Finally, the principle of parents which is not democracy or communism will appear. So far, the principle of brothers and sisters and charity has prevailed, but in the future, the principle of parents and of heart will dominate. This is the principle which will emerge in the Last Days. If you can’t do such a mission in the Unification Church, then get out of here! If you can’t establish such a standard of heart, make effort until you can attain it. No matter what happens you must have such a standard. The principle of brothers and sisters is not the principle for the final restored world. You must follow the customs and traditions of parents centered on parents and heart. You need to love parents first and brothers and sisters second. On that foundation Heavenly law will be established, right? The love of brothers and sisters is not enough. Love parents first.
So far, the principle of brothers and sisters centering on democracy has prevailed. But in the end, the principle of parents (parentism) which is not democracy, communism, or even the principle of brothers and sisters, will appear.
So far, the principle of brothers and sisters and charity has prevailed, but in the future, the principle of parents (parentism) and of heart (heartism) will dominate. This is the principle which will emerge in the Last Days.
We need to love parents first and brothers and sisters second. We must follow the customs and traditions of parents centered on parents and heart.
In the Last Days, through True Parents becoming the owners, the principle of parents and of heart will become the subject.
Parentism, which is heartism, will become the subject.
Therefore, if we do not accept True Parents, we will keep staying in the Last Days.
The Principle of Parents is the principle of heart centered on the parental heart. From the children’s perspective, it is the principle of filial piety towards parents. The duty to realize the heart of parents and practice as children is this principle of filial piety.
We can say Hyojeongism, filial heartism, right? It is the Principle of the Filial Heartism.
Therefore, the important kind of education in the final age is the education of filial piety and heart. We have to love God first, then True Parents, then after loving the world and nation, we must love our own family.
A New Civilization will Appear in the Last Days
<49-194> We are in the Last Days which is like winter. Then, where can we find the spring-like cultural sphere which is able to establish the new civilization? We can find it only in religion. Human history started with the hope that we could realize the Kingdom of Heaven on earth someday. But, we began to think about how to realize one ideal world of peace only a few centuries ago. Actually, however, religion has made a great effort to realize such an ideal world throughout history. The destination of religion is the spiritual world, not this physical world. That is why religion continues to advocate the belief in the Second Coming in order to guide and lead spiritual world.
We are in the Last Days which is like winter. Then, where can we find the spring-like cultural sphere which is able to establish the new civilization? We can find it only in religion.
Here, the “new civilization” means the revolution of heart centered on True Parents. Centering on the revolution of heart, a new civilization of arts and revolution of language must take place.
TODAY’S YOUTH MINISTRY: What Should I do to Renew Myself?
1. What should you do to renew yourselves? To renew myself, I should first treasure the Words I was moved by in my heart and live with the mindset to completely improve my attitude I’ve lived with until now and have a heart of attendance towards Heaven. If I live like this, my mind will be renewed. Then, as you gradually know God’s heart, you will reach the level of inheriting from God.
When you really believe in the Word to be true, you will really change. You will be so renewed that you yourselves will be surprised. That is why you yourselves must renew yourselves so that even you yourselves will be surprised. When the Word enters me and I experience being born again, I will change so much that I myself will be surprised. Since the Word enters me and reforms my life, it brings change to my character.
1. Really believe in the Word to be true. When I purely believe in the Word as it is, I will really change.
Belief is really important. We need to think that God’s word, True Parents’ word is really true. It is recognized and authorized by the spiritual world, so even Satan cannot accuse (it?). We need to really believe in the word to be true. When we purely believe in the word as it is, we will really change. That is the power of belief. When we really believe in it and practice, I am telling you, we really can change. That is the power of faith.
> As much as I believe in the Word, I will change to a surprising degree.
> Faith in the Word will be so renewed that I myself will be surprised.
I have so much experience (with this). When I first read the Bible, wow! Jesus brought a lot of miracles! How can I bring miracles? Each sentence was so powerful. If I have faith, I can move the mountain from here to there! My goodness! This is the power of faith! When I believed in the little(?) word, I realized that it changed my entire life. That is the power of faith.
2. Always meditate on the Words that I believe in and were moved by and treasure them in my heart.
3. Internally, live with the mindset to completely reform my attitude I’ve lived with until now.
4. Have the heart to attend God no matter what happens.
5. If I believe in the Word without a hint of doubt and put it into practice, miracles will happen.
That is why we need to have a pure heart. Father said one of his goals was to become one of the great champions of faith: “Please, Heavenly Father, give me more faith than Peter and Paul. Please give me more love than Jesus, more wisdom than Solomon.” Father is really the champion of faith. He can believe in everything.
That is why in order to change our life of faith – sometimes we think too rationally, logically, humanistically and horizontally and have difficulty in believing God’s word. Then God cannot work with such a guy. We need to have a really pure heart and really believe in the word. (To the extent that) we believe in God’s word, we will change surprisingly. This is the power of faith.
> As much as I believe in the Word, I experience that God is living and working within me.
Wow! That is why faith, hope and love; our life of faith begins with faith. It does not start with love because our level is very low. Fallen man needs to believe. Faith first. When we truly believe God exists, wow! The spiritual world does exist. We are a child of God. We have a parent-child relationship. We need to believe, “God is my father; I am his son or daughter.” When we believe without doubt, then what happens? If we believe in something, we can see incredible hope. That is why faith comes first. When we have faith, then hope automatically comes. “Oh, nothing is impossible. ...” Then we will feel full of hope. That can affect everything(?) and reach the level of love. In order to renew ourself, we need to have faith and believe in God’s word. God’s word is God.
> Then, I will change so much that I myself will be surprised.
> If I am born again through the Word, it brings change to my character.
6. As I gradually know God’s heart, I will reach the level of inheriting from God.
Everything begins from faith, and gradually we can know God’s situation and his wish and heart. Finally we can inherit God’s heart. Our life of faith begins from faith, treating ourself as God’s belonging.
Genuinely Believe in the Word. Trust Yourself 100%.
2. When I am moved by the Word and my heart becomes closer to the essence through those Words, I will have a heart of compassion and forgiveness towards other people. Hatred towards others will disappear, and a heart of compassion will come out first. This is proof that I am resurrecting.
Therefore, try to genuinely believe in the Word. Test whether or not you change when you believe in the Word. Test how the Holy Spirit helps you when you believe in the Word. Also, believe in yourself 100% that you will change. Keep on seeing what kind of phenomena happen when you believe in the Word. Even if it is hard in the beginning, keep making effort to believe in the Word and put it into practice. Try testing yourself on how your heart changes.
What Are the Phenomena That Happen When I Genuinely Believe in the Word and Practice It?
1. A heart of compassion towards others will come out first.
> Hatred towards others will disappear, and a heart of forgiveness towards other people will come out.
This is incredible. Our heart grows (till) there is no more hatred, and the heart of forgiveness automatically comes out. That means we can embrace anyone. That means we are really growing up, really resurrecting and becoming a new guy.
> This is proof that I am resurrecting
... and growing up.
2. Try to genuinely believe in the Word.
> Test how I changed when I believe in the Word.
We should challenge (this experience?). “OK, Jesus said this; True Mother said this.” If I really believe in this, can something really happen or not? Do some kind of phenomena appear or not?”
Why not challenge and test this?
> Test how the Holy Spirit helps me when I believe in the Word.
> Believe in myself 100% that I will change when I believe in the Word.
> Keep on seeing what kind of phenomena happen when I believe in the Word.
We need to have a positive expectation. Keep on seeing(?) what kind of phenomena happen when we believe in the word. When we believe in Father’s word, “Father said this. Mother said that. I really believe.” Then we need to have some expectation of what phenomena (will) happen.
3. Even if it is hard in the beginning –
– Wow! For fallen man it is not easy to believe, right? That is why it is hard in the beginning –
– keep making effort to believe in the Word and put it into practice.
We need to really deny ourself, really try to believe. We should keep making an effort to believe in God’s word and put it into practice.
> Changes of the heart will undoubtedly take place.
> Believe in the truth that miracles will happen to the extent that I believe in the Word.
True Parents’ Merits and Our Awakening
3. We today came to know the way to find our hearts thanks to True Parents. We also came to clearly understand who we are thanks to True Parents. Since True Parents were officially recognized by God and have the foundation of the spirit world, all mankind must go through True Parents. No matter who shouts that they’re great, it is an established truth that there cannot be salvation without coming from True Parent. If it weren’t for True Parents, we would not be able to recover our original nature. And there would be no way for us to remove our fallen nature.
We have realized that since we are all descendants of Satan, the archangel, there is no way to remove our fallen nature without True Parents. True Parents are the ones that received God’s official recognition and have the privilege from the spirit world. Therefore, we must realize how proud we blessed families should be today to be in the precious positions of being able to receive the Blessing through True Parents and become God’s children.
Why do the words of the Bible have authority? Why does Jesus’ words have absolute authority that no one dares to approach?
The word of the Bible is the word of God because Jesus is the Son of God recognized by God, the spirit world, the earth, and even Satan.
In the Bible Satan recognizes Jesus as the son of God.
Therefore, when we sincerely believe in the words of Jesus, many people experience miracles and works as they believe.
John 14:6 says “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” These words come from Jesus being certain that he is the son of God.
This is so powerful! He said, “I am the only way, the only truth and the only light.”
From the point of view of outside people, Jesus is really arrogant. “He thinks he is God!”
He has so much confidence: “I am God’s begotten son.” Recognized by God, the spiritual world and even Satan, “I came as the messiah. That is why I am the way, the truth and the light. No one comes to the Father except through me.” Wow! This kind of spiritual authority is so powerful!
Similarly, no matter what somebody says, why do amazing works happen and why does our spirit change when we believe in True Parents’ words?
It is because True Parents were officially recognized by God and even brought Satan to natural surrender and they came as the Messiah with the foundation of the spirit world.
Therefore, all humankind must go through True Parents. No matter who shouts that they’re great, it is an established truth that there cannot be salvation without (it) coming from True Parent.
Do we believe True Father and True Mother are the messiah? Or not? If we doubt, we are nothing.
If we doubt that True Mother and True Father are the messiah, that is fine. When we arrive in the spiritual world, if we receive a confirmation that Father and Mother are not the messiah, that’s fine.
However, even though all humankind may not believe they are the messiah, if God says they are the messiah, then it is a different situation, a different story. If True Father and True Mother are really the messiah and savior, what happens if we do not believe in them? What happens if we do not follow them? Wow! Can you imagine?
If Father and Mother Moon are not the Messiah, I would not (have any) regret. How much they have changed my life! How much grace I have received! How much I have gotten to know God’s heart, God’s sorrowful situation! How much I have improved myself!
That’s why, even though someone may say Father Moon and Mother Moon are not the messiah, even though God may say they are not the messiah, for me they are really my messiah.
If it weren’t for True Parents, we would not be able to recover our original nature. And there would be no way for us to remove our fallen nature. We have realized that since we are all descendants of Satan, the archangel, there is no way to remove our fallen nature without True Parents.
You Are the Blessed Among Blessed
4. Although you still do not know just precious you are, judging from history, you cannot be but the blessed among blessed. You are the ones who are living at the same time with True Parents, who were victorious in paying indemnity representing all mankind and history, while joining in the same providential course with them. The more you realize the Word and grow, the more you will gradually go on to discover and realize what kind of beings you are.
Now, unlike the past ages of indemnity, we have ushered in an amazing time we can directly experience the spirit world’s support when we practice according to what we realize. Now is certainly the time when the fortunes of victory have come down to you. Know that it is a time when we can receive incredible grace from God if we are serious about the Will and are clear about our sense of purpose in life centered on True Parents while we are on this earth.
In our faith, if we have absolute conviction that True Parents are the Messiah who came to this earth, we all who have met the Messiah must realize how proud we should be to be in the precious positions of being able to receive the Blessing through True Parents and become God’s children.
If we do not have the faith and conviction that True Parents are the Messiah, no miracles or changes will be able to happen.
If True Parents are truly the Messiah, we cannot be but the blessed among blessed. We need to know the amazing truth that we are the ones who are living at the same time with True Parents, who were victorious in paying indemnity representing all humankind and history, while joining in the same providential course with them.
Now, we are living in the era of Cheon Il Guk. Unlike the past ages of indemnity, we have ushered in an amazing time we can directly experience the spirit world’s support when we practice according to what we realize. Know that now is certainly the time when we are living together with the amazing fortunes of victory.
True Father is already gone. Now we are living with True Mother. Yes, this is a precious time. Our descendants (will) not (be able to) see True Mother. They (will not be able to) participate in any providence with True Mother. Even those in the past, our ancestors, may really want to have participated in God’s providence together (with True Mother), but they could not attend (her) physically.
This is only once in eternity that we can participate in God’s providence together centering on True Parents, now centering on the messiah (True Mother). How blessed we are! We need to really appreciate that.
