Ep 937 - Let Us Bring God Back to America Part 6
Let us Bring God Back to America - May 20, 2023
Key Points
True Parents have overcome unspeakable hardships to liberate God, to restore His lost position as our Parent, and to save humanity, returning everyone to the bosom of the Heavenly Parent.
Many brothers and sisters testify that they have experienced healing by learning about God’s sorrowful heart.
Just as Jesus impacted all of humankind and history in the three years of his public ministry because of the quality of his faith, vision, and especially love, True Parents’ victorious life of devotion and sacrifice will transform the world even more.
How long it will take for the Unification Movement to take root as Christianity did 2,000 years ago will depend entirely on “how we fulfill our responsibility and mission.”
Dr. Yong would like to stay in America, but he needs to respond to God and True Mother’s call for him to return to Korea.
Dr. Yong’s farewell ceremony and the inauguration ceremony for Demian Dunkley will be May 28. Major leaders are called to attend.
Transcripts from November 3, 2021 to the present, personal notes from November 11, 2020 until November 2, 2021 and slides from August 29, 2021 to the present are available at MD.Hoondok.com as PDF files.♦
(Response to reflections) Korea’s situation is quite serious. I don’t care about any position, leader or not. I really want to create a model church. I only want to support True Mother. That is my goal and my vision.
I learned from the dedication of all the American brothers and sisters.♦
I have become more emotional! When I hear your reflections and encouragement, I am so touched.
Maybe we will take 4 or 5 more days to share centered on each sub-region. We are seriously discussing who can carry on Morning Devotion every day. I think this tradition is a very beautiful tradition. I hope my brothers and sisters, you will carry on this tradition so that it becomes part of our life and of our hoondok culture.
Today I’d like to talk about “Let Us Bring God Back to America” from True Mother’s Anthology, Volume 2.
<This speech was read by Sun Jin Moon on behalf of Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon at the True Family Values Ministry 20th Anniversary Awards Banquet, held on December 5, 2015 at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Chicago, USA.>
Dear leaders! In 1960, the Reverend Moon and I, standing in the presence of God and in the positions of only begotten son and only begotten daughter prepared by Heaven, received the God's holy blessing as the True Parents. Since the time of our holy wedding, our lives have been focused on the following goals: to liberate the Heavenly Parent who is the Cosmic True Parent, restoring His lost position as our Parent, and to save the lost and fallen human race from the realm of death and suffering, and return everyone to the bosom of the Heavenly Parent.
In order to achieve this ideal, the Reverend Moon and I have had to overcome unspeakable hardships and innumerable difficulties. Overcoming all these obstacles, we led and carried humanity, which had fallen into the state of being like orphans with no parents, along the path to salvation. The sayings, “Seven failures will lead to success on the eighth attempt,” and “Risk your life and invest yourself entirely for the cause,” accurately characterize the course of life that we led.
Since the time of True Parents’ holy wedding, their lives have been focused on only one thing: to liberate the Heavenly Parent who is the Cosmic True Parent, restoring His lost position as our Parent, and to save the lost and fallen human race from the realm of death and suffering, and return everyone to the bosom of the Heavenly Parent.
Actually, I was very glad to hear (someone) share about God’s sorrowful heart. Of course, some people struggle to hear such content about God being so sad. “Our life should be a life of joy and happiness.” But many brothers and sisters shared with me that after hearing about Heavenly Father’s sorrowful heart, they had a healing experience. It healed their heart. “God has suffered more than I have. He went through incredible suffering in order to restore human beings. Compared to God’s suffering and difficulties, my suffering and sacrifice is (like) nothing.” That is why many have shared with me about their healing experience – because they came to know God’s reality, God’s situation, God’s heart.
We really need to understand who our Heavenly Parent is. At the same time we need to understand our True Parents’ situation and heart and wish as well.
In order to achieve this ideal, True Parents had to overcome unspeakable hardships and innumerable difficulties. Overcoming all these obstacles, True Parents led and carried humanity, which had fallen into the state of being like orphans with no parents, along the path to world salvation.
Although Jesus only lived a short three-year course of public life before passing away, think about the impact Jesus’ three-year public ministry course had on all on humankind and history.
Even though his public life was only three years, how great an impact his life had on all of 2,000 years of history until now! Can you imagine that? Because of his quality of absolute faith, because of his quality of God’s absolute ideal and vision, and because of his quality of love, he had an incredible impact on humankind and on history. We need to understand (this) about Jesus and True Parents.
Even more so, think about how the lives of True Parents, who devoted and sacrificed their entire lives and were victorious in all indemnity courses for all of humankind and the entire world, will have an impact on the future – generation to generations forever.
After Jesus died on the cross, it took a long time until Christianity took root. But I think that for our Unification movement, it will not take such a long time to take root as in Jesus’ time. That depends entirely on how we fulfill our portion of responsibility and mission.
Now is the era of Cheon Il Guk. It is actually up to us. True Parents have already laid the foundation and shown the model. From now on (it is) our portion of responsibility. Now Mother is already 80 years old. It is not a simple age.
So whatever True Mother orders, if she asks me to go to Africa, I am ready to go. If she asks me to go to Oceania, I am ready to go to Oceania. If she asks me to come back to Korea to support her, even if she gives me a small church or whatever, I don’t care about any position.
Many Korean leaders may say, “Wow! You were the American continental director and come back to Korea to serve a small church?” They may ask me this. I don’t care about my position. If I can make a model church and make True Mother happy, if it is a condition for North and South Korea to unite, I will try to do my best.
My dear American brothers and sisters, I need your prayer. Pray for True Mother and pray for me – not for Dr. Yong the individual – pray for me to substantially support our beloved True Mother. Pray for my mission to support the Korean providence.
Let’s take time to have reflections.
(Testimonies Sub-Region 2 “How Dr. Yong has impacted our lives”: Diane & Ilya Hack, Michael, Kim & Brianna Parker, Kace Family, Deborah-Ann Scott, WonGin and HanMi Bowman)
(Additional reflection) Now we have changed the date of the inaugural ceremony to Sunday May 28, not May 26. Mother sent the main international leaders. I would like to encourage all the main church leadership to come and participate in the inaugural ceremony for Demian Dunkley to be CD.
(Testimony Kyoko Bowman - Experience in Korea)
(Additional reflection) I want to go, but actually my heart is (that) I don’t want to go! I want to be in America with American brothers and sisters! However, Mother called me. I have no choice. I want to help her. I need to help the Korean peninsula providence. America has become my second hometown. I truly love each of you! But Mother needs me. I can hear God’s voice; he is calling me: “Go to Korea. Help Mother. Help the Korean providence.” I need to obey. Even though I don’t want to leave, but Mother is waiting for me and God is calling me. I need to respond to Mother.
Mother asked us to choose a Sunday to celebrate the inauguration. Rev. Song, the representative of Family Federation is coming. Dr. Yang, the UPF International leader, and Rev. Dunkley are coming. Major church leadership needs to be present plus anyone who is interested in coming. Let’s support our Rev. Dunkley’s new leadership. This is an important ceremony. This will be a turning point for the American movement to develop more than before.
Thank you once again, my dear brothers and sisters. Kamsa Hamnida.♦
