(Response to sharing) You received a dream that your mother was dead. That means the spiritual world is guiding you to invite her to resurrect by inviting her to our Rally of Hope or whatever. I think your ancestors are mobilizing and showing you that kind of dream. No matter what, let her revive. (Such a dream) shows us about resurrection or revival. I think this is a good opportunity. Why do you have such a dream? You have a filial heart. You love your mom so much! You are so dedicated, so diligent! That is why God gives that kind of dream to you -- for you to revive your mother.
I am so excited every morning to see my dear brothers and sisters. I can feel your heart. We are heartistically very connected to each other. We really express our heart and emotion to each other. I am grateful that Heavenly Parent has provided this online holy community.
Today I’d like to talk about “Fallen Humanity's Hope and Portion of Responsibility” from True Mother Hak Ja Han Moon: An Anthology, Book 1.
The Desire of Fallen People to Meet the Messiah
Throughout human history, many people have cultivated their minds and dreamed of a better world, but that world is yet to be seen. The world today is a world that, due to the Fall of the human ancestors, has nothing to do with God's purpose of creation. That is why the Bible refers to the people of this world as wild olive trees and the coming Lord as the true olive tree. The wish of the wild olive trees is to meet the true olive tree and become true olive trees themselves, for only then can salvation be achieved. (2006.07.20, Nairobi, Kenya)
The Bible compares us humans to trees. In the New Testament, the fallen men are compared to wild olive trees, and Jesus is compared to a true olive tree. In other words, a false person, a fallen person, is compared to a wild olive tree, and a true person like Jesus is compared to a true olive tree. Ultimately, the course of life is how to become a true person.
In Genesis, Adam was compared to the tree of life and Eve to the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. If Adam obeys God's word, he becomes a tree of life, and if he does not obey God's word, he becomes a tree of death. Life or death. Eve can be a good tree or an evil tree, depending on whom it bears fruit (for). When Eve bears fruit centered on God, it becomes a good tree. However, when it bears fruit centered on Satan, it becomes an evil tree.
That is why it becomes the Tree of Life or the Tree of Death or it becomes the Tree of Good or the Tree of Evil. It is up to the human portion of responsibility. This is our job to fulfill.
Until marriage, a man grows into a tree of life and a woman grows into a tree of knowledge of good and evil. When a couple becomes one as a tree of love -- love means a pair, right? That’s why, when a couple becomes one, that is a Tree of Love -- then they automatically reproduce bearing children -- and become a lineage tree. Therefore, it can be seen that the path of true love is the path of life, love, and lineage.
The Bible has a lot of wisdom(?), right? We need three kinds of trees: as a man as a Tree of Life, after marrying I have to become a Tree of Love, and finally after producing children I have to become a Tree of Blood Lineage. This is the path of our life.
God's purpose of creation was for Him to become one with Adam and Eve and form a family, thus creating three generations. That was also God's most cherished wish. However, due to the error committed by Eve during her growth process, God was unable to establish Adam's family. That is why today's world is said to be a fallen world, a world under Satan's ownership. For this reason, many religions came into existence in the course of history, and they have all sought after goodness. God established the people of Israel and Judaism, worked through them for 4,000 years, and promised to send the Messiah. And yet, how did that end? The people of Israel and Judaism did not accept Jesus. This was because they were ignorant. Nonetheless, the 2,000-year history of Christianity was begun through Jesus' resurrection. What do Christians wish for? They are waiting for the Lord of the Second Advent to come in the Last Days. (2006.07.21, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia)
This is very important. We already know this content, right? But I would like to re-emphasize it.
God created Adam and Eve and gave them three great blessings. (Genesis 1:28: “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it.). The three great blessings are that Adam and Eve each achieve individual perfection, form a couple and realize an ideal family, and have dominion over all things.
However, the Bible says -- this is really important -- that Jesus came as the second Adam. (In 2 Corinthians 15:45, it is said that the last Adam became a life-giving spirit just as the first man, Adam, became a living soul.) The Bible very clearly says that Jesus came as the second Adam. If Jesus came as the second Adam, he must fulfill the three great blessings that the first Adam could not achieve. If the three great blessings are fulfilled, Jesus must have a second Eve and must meet her and marry her.
Where there is a subject, there is an object. Where there is Adam, there should be Eve. If there is God’s begotten son, there should be God’s begotten daughter. However, Jesus could not marry. And then he promised to come again.
The reason Jesus has to come again is to get married and fulfill God's three great blessings of creation. Therefore, the Second Coming Lord must meet the only begotten daughter, marry and establish a family.
This is fundamental. Many people think that Jesus is God himself. No! Jesus is not God himself. Jesus is a son of God. Jesus was born as a man and he needed a woman. He needed to marry. This is a universal principle. Everybody needs a pair system. Jesus doesn’t need it? What kind of principle is that? The principle needs to apply to everyone without exception, even God, even the messiah. That is why God exists as dual characteristics with the nature of male and female, and human beings need to have the pair structure, the pair system. That is why Jesus needed a spouse. The Divine Principle is very clear.
God's Providence and Our Portion of Responsibility
When God created the world, He said that it was beautiful. He said that it looked good. Then, He created Adam and Eve, and gave them responsibility. God's wish and Adam and Eve's wish needed to be the same. God wanted to become the Parent of humankind. Not just a spiritual Parent; He wanted to become the visible Parent of the substantial world. Therefore, He gave a growth period to Adam and Eve. That period, the growth period, was one in which they were to be responsible in an absolute position with relation to God. When they reached perfection, God would have blessed Adam and Eve. God carried out the providence so that they would become the first true ancestors, the True Parents of humankind. In a word, God's purpose of creation is to form true couples, true parents, true children, and true brothers and sisters. Therefore, our purpose in life is not to have an external job, to live well in society, to eat well and to succeed, but to first become true children and filial sons and daughters.
And as humans grow up, they form the relationship of true brothers and sisters, get married to form a true couple, and eventually become true parents by having and raising children.
Therefore, do you know the four most important truths in our lives? They are that we become true children centered on the first filial piety; the second, we become true brothers and sisters; the third, we become a true couple; and the fourth, we become true parents. Based on this expectation, God and I are creating an eternal parent-child relationship.
Which are the most important: true parents, true couple, true brothers and sisters and then true children. Which are more important than these? These are the four major eternal truths. How can I become a filial son or daughter as a child? How can I truly love my brothers and sisters and build beautiful and true siblings? How can we become a true couple, loving each other and trusting each other? And finally reproducing children. How can we become a true father and a true mother? That is the purpose of life. This is the essence of the four kinds of truth.
Living Divine Principle: Principle of Creation - Who is God?
Yesterday I talked about Absolute Sex based on God’s character. Today and for several days I would like to share who God is.
God is:
• The subject and harmonious union of original internal nature and original external form.
• The harmonious union of original masculinity and original femininity.
• The subject partner having qualities of internal nature and masculinity towards the universe.
Who is God? I would like to share based on these titles. It may take four or five days.
1. God is my eternal parent.
2. God is the subject of the Three Great Subjects Principle
3. God is absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal.
4. God is a God of love.
5. God is a God of heart.
6. God is the Word.
7. God is dual characteristics.
8. God is the original absolute Sex.
9. God is a being of character.
10. God is the origin of Principle, law and order.
11, God is the God of absolute faith, absolute love, and absolute obedience.
12. God is the subject of true love, true life, and true lineage.
13. God is the subject of conscience.
14. God is a God of bitter pain.
15. God is a God of mercy.
16. God is a God of sorrow.
17. God is a being who needs to be liberated.
Whenever I share about each of these titles, I myself am very inspired and very clearly understand who God is. I am not talking about my own words. I would like to share with you based on True Father’s guidance.
Today, I will speak to you about the content of the first title, “God is my parent.”
God Is My Eternal Parent
<12-258> What is the origin of the universe? It is parents and children. I realized this through prayer. My parents and me-- the relationship between parent and child is the origin of the universe. So what is the relationship between God and me? God is the father and I am the son. We are the sons and daughters. The ultimate essence is the parent-child relationship, and this is also the greatest goal. Therefore, we must go in search of that relationship.
This is beautiful. Very clear. This is the most important thing: who is God? God is my eternal parent. Eternal! Not just temporary. Not just for the time being. God is my eternal parent.
What is the origin of the universe? Father really searched and searched. According to Father’s testimony, it took five years in order to get an answer. Many philosophers and saints and sages came to the earth and seriously thought about what the origin of the universe is.
The philosopher Thales said: the origins of the universe and human beings was “Water,” Pythagoras: it is “Numbers,” Anaximandros: it is “Air,” Heraclitus: it is “Fire,” Charles Darwin: we came from an “Amoeba,” the Bible: we came from “God,” and other philosophers said “Energy” or a “Monkey”. And when I was a very young, small boy, I asked my physical mother where I came from, and she said she had brought me from under the bridge. I cried a lot. “Oh my goodness! I came from under the bridge?” Later on I understood; Korean people have wisdom(? rhythm?). That is true; I came from under the bridge. Koreans say human beings to lay(?) is the bridge. So I came from my mother’s bridge. It is correct. (?)
True Father said that he prayed for several years to know the origin of the universe. He already knew, but he needed to get confirmation: what the origin of the universe is. It is said that he struggled to know for a long time over this. Why did he need to know about this? Without knowing the origin of the universe, how can he discover other truth? Because all problems could be solved if only the fundamental problems of the universe were solved.
So, as a result of prayer, the origin of the universe is the relationship between parents and children. God is the parent, and I am the child.
We just simply got to know what the origin of the universe is (from True Father?), but many people do not know this fundamental truth. For us just within one second, we (came to) know that the origin of the universe is parent and child. It is an amazing declaration! When I studied other religions, they did not know the origin of the universe.
Do you know why Jesus is really great? He is the one who first called God “Father.” That is why Jesus has the qualification to be the messiah. Many people say God is just the creator, just love, love, love, love created. But Jesus called God, “You are my father.” Father said that is why Christianity is of the highest level -- because we call God “Father.” Jesus said, “I am the son of God.” This is an amazing declaration. Someone said, between God and me, God is the creator, and I am a creature. But True Father clearly said, “God is my eternal parent. I am God’s eternal child.”
So, in finding all the principles, he said that he was able to solve all kinds of problems by going out with this formula and truth.
That is why whenever he is facing a problem and tries to solve it, he always applies this principle. If God is parents, he has a parental heart. How does he think? How would he solve this problem centering on parental heart? “God is my parent and has a parental heart; how would he deal with this fallen human being issue?” (For example,) would he only choose certain people to be saved? Then Father said (if so, then) God is not a parent. If God is a parent, he needs to save every human being without exception. Parents love each of their children. Salvation is not just for chosen people. Salvation means total salvation without exception. Because this comes from the fundamental truth: God is parent; I am the child of God. This is really amazing. He even said that God and I are inseparable from each other, and that it is a relationship of unchanging destiny that cannot be changed. (There is an) unchanging fate, unchanging destiny between God and me. We cannot separate mind and body. So God and I cannot be separated from each other because we have a dual characteristic relationship. Like the mind and body, we cannot be separated. God and I cannot be separated because we have an inseparable eternal relationship. This is an amazing discovery.
<12-258> I walked a suffering course to discover this. Even if you escape the trials Satan sends you, the thing that can be lost in an instant is the parent-child relationship. If you go to the Satanic world and sleep there, the thing you must not forget is the parent child relationship. You must understand what a frustrating and devastating thing it is to lose that relationship.
True Father said that as long as we have absolute faith that God is my parent and that I am a child of God, we can overcome any hardship, any kind of trial. Even though Satan (may have) invaded me, what is the best way to get out from Satan? It is very clear. “God is my parent; I am a child of God.” Satan cannot do anything. Because your faith is not clear, not yet firm (formed?), not certain. But if your faith is very clear that “God is my eternal parent; I am a child of God,” as long as your identity is very clear, then Satan cannot claim you.
Humans lost this parent-child relationship through the Fall. This is the saddest thing, and the most grievous.
My relationship with God is like a lifeline. My relationship with God is a very important alignment, a kind of lifeline. Without a lifeline, how can you survive? When we fly a kite, if the kite's thread breaks, the kite's head plummets to the ground. To fly a kite well, you need to hold the line well. You need to make it tense (taut?). Just as a kite loses its center and falls when the string is released, when I lose the center of being, God, everything begins to (go to) chaos. It also wanders and flows horizontally. That is why the relationship is a lifeline. The vertical relationship with God is a lifeline. Once you lose it, things change. It becomes a disaster. Things become very horizontal. You do not know your direction, what to do, where to go. You do not know anything. That is why your alignment, which is a lifeline, is really crucial.
Historically, those who met God and actually heard God's voice said that God expressed Himself as love.
I hear many testimonies from brothers and sisters and read in lots of books about those who met God. It is always the same answer. Someone was really facing a lot of struggles and wanted to commit suicide. A person who (wanted to) commit suicide was really seriously searching for something and prayed in desperation. At the end God appeared to that person. “Love.” In the beginning it seemed far away, but it became closer and closer. “Love.” “Love!”“Love!!” “Hey my dearest son. You are my child. Do you know how much I love you? “Love!!!” “Love!!!” “Love!!!!” “I love you so much.” Conviction( ?) Those who have met God… That is why we say, “God is love.”
<53-286> Parents want their children to become more accomplished than themselves. This is a parent's ambition. If any of you here are parents, do any of you want your children to be less accomplished than you? Of course not. You want them to be more brilliant than yourselves. Parents cannot complain when their children have higher positions than themselves, or when their children have more influence than they do and manage their parents' affairs. Whose heart does this resemble? We must understand that even though humankind has fallen, we still resemble God's original nature.
This is also one of his incredible declarations.
Even if God is omniscient and omnipotent, Does God really want me to become better than he is? If God is really a parent, then is it sure that each human being should be better than he or not? Father challenged himself another few years to get an answer (to this). Do you know what God said? He said, “Yes!” Your character as a parent is that your children should be better than you. Then this kind of character comes from where? God has the same kind of character. Oh my God! Even if God is an omnipotent and almighty God, God really wants man to be better than he (is). If God did not do his best in creating human beings and put only 70-80% of his energy and power (in creation), God may become just my Creator, but he will never be my parent. Parents do their best for their children and want their children to be better than their parents.
This is an amazing truth.
In fact, human beings are more precious than the moon, the stars, the sun, and the sea.
Each human being’s value: You are better than the ocean, you are better than the moon, better than the sun and better than the stars. Do you value yourself in this way? Wow! This is incredible!
<11-87> If there is something that we must be grateful for, it is that we can call God our father, and that we have the good fortune to be able to attend God. There is nothing more valuable than this. God is attending to the fate of fallen people and, because He wants to endow us with the greatest value possible, He has given us the right to call ourselves His sons and daughters. You must experience what it is like that He comes to seek for us with this kind of heart. Not just understand it, but experience it.
Looking back on my own experiences, I can't forget the day my wife gave birth to my first daughter. When she had grown up a bit and when she was a little more than a year old, (she) called me one day “Dad! Appa! Appa!” for the first time. I was so happy that there was someone who called me Daddy. I was so excited!
Doesn't God (have) the same heart? When human beings call on God with all their heart and sincerity and discover that God is their eternal parent, then from the bottom of their heart with sincerity they say, “My Heavenly Father! My eternal father and mother! My eternal parent!” How pleased God would be if you called out, “My parents!”
We need to know that God is coming to visit each and every fallen human being with such a parental heart.
I must experience that God is my eternal parent. You need to know that it is not that I have served God, but actually that God has served me. If I experience such a God and experience his love and heart and call him “God, the Father,” God cannot but hold me tight and embrace me and cry and cry and cry.
<11-87> It is certainly our destiny to attend a God who comes to look for us like this. No matter what kind of leader you are attending, that leader is not one that you can attend eternally. No matter what kind of ideology a representative is asserting on the earth today, that representative is not somebody you can attend eternally. Who is it that we must attend and live with eternally? It is precisely our Heavenly Father, who exists for all eternity. You must be in such a position. You must go to the position where you can live in attendance to God, where you can attain everything under the heavens.
When I die and go to the spirit world, no one can go with me. Neither my wife, nor my parents, nor my children, nor anyone else can accompany me. If there is only one being, it is God. Whether I go to Hell or Heaven, there is only God who will accompany me forever and stay with me. When I go to the spiritual world, no one will follow me, I am sorry to say. Not True Father. Not even True Mother. There is only one being. Wherever I go, he will follow me. If I go to hell, he will follow me. If I go to heaven, he will follow me. He always accompanies me forever. Who is that? He is my eternal parent. Therefore, I must serve such a God forever.
Man must one day live in reunion with the lost God and live forever. When will the day of such a reunion come?
I want to have that kind of experience and meet with God heartistically, really recognize that “You are my eternal father.” I am the child of God. (I want to) reunite(?) (with him) and cry and cry and cry and (then there will be) no more separation.
Today’s Youth Ministry: Jacob’s Course - Lessons We Can Learn from Leah Who Forgot Her Position
1. Leah should not just be happy to have her own child, but check the situation around her. In fact, Jacob was engaged to Rachel at Laban's house and waited for 7 years to get married. But because Leah came in first and gave birth to a baby, she should have been humble towards Rachel. What would have happened if she had a heart that said “The son I gave birth to is Jacob’s son, not mine. Originally, you (Rachel) were supposed to have his child first, but I am so sorry that it was me”?
2. For example, if someone completely unrelated comes to a party uninvited and eats the food at the party like it was prepared for him, that person is very shameless. If you are in the position of an uninvited guest, you should feel truly sorry.
3. When a person is sincere, he does not lose his first motivation. Regardless of who sees or doesn’t see; it does not matter if someone sees me or does not see me. If you yourself are sincere, you will not lose your original motivation. If you do not lose your original motivation, you will not forget your position either.
4. What kind of being am I today? We need to know where we are right now. In the workplace, there are full-time and temporary employees. A temporary employee cannot complain that the company does not treat him as a full-time employee. You should always know what your position is.
5. Leah did not enter as the official wife, but while Laban was thinking about how to handle her becoming older and still unmarried in his family, Laban decided to give Jacob his first daughter, Leah, because Jacob was so great and good at his responsibilities. If Leah had known about this and that in all directions, she should not have felt disappointed about Jacob’s love going to Rachel.
6. If you look at the case of wives in Korea, whenever they attend a gathering, they are easily upset if their attire is not better than that of others. I often had this experience.
7. Also, in the case of some blessed families, when the three-year mobilization period is over and they start family life, there are various events. There are cases when a woman doesn’t have much externally before starting family life, but after meeting a more economically wealthy husband, her living environment changes. On the other hand, there are also cases when a woman lives well off and dresses well, but after starting family life, her husband has public responsibilities, so they are not financially wealthy and have to move around all the time and experience hardships. In such case, some wives may be upset, displeased and not attend gatherings.
8. How should you treat yourself if this happens? First, you need to know your husband's circumstances. You must look at everything centered on God’s Will. You must think, “My husband doesn’t have a house or a car or anything right now, but he is doing public work for God’s Will, which is more precious. So even if I am lacking, I will do my best to support my husband.” If you think like this, you will become a precious couple. You can become a couple that everyone can look up to for a long time to come.
9. Know that the circumstances that I may like right now can go down in shame in the future at any time. Even if my current environment and situations are not good, there is no need to be hurt by others. When you start a family in your 20s or 30s, you should not be unable to control your emotions by comparing your economic power to others. If you look at the distant future, be faithful to the present environment and have a good relationship with your spouse, Heaven will definitely bring you economic grace. Usually, if you are financially rich from a young age, you will not seek God earnestly and your standards of faith will easily lose their focus. When a couple becomes one and their standard of heart is raised, live believing that heaven will surely give you financial blessings. There are so many cases like this.
10. Rather than being grateful for a given reality, people tend to be pessimistic and downgrade their standards by comparing with surrounding realities and environments. The economic reality and environment I am in now are all inherited from my ancestors. Everyone has a different background and family environment.
Don’t compare (yourself) to anyone. My destiny is my destiny. I love my destiny. Someone may have come from a poor family; someone may have come from a rich family background. It does not matter. How can I love my destiny? If you complain, if you compare, if you have dissatisfaction, then you hurt yourself. You should be grateful for the given reality. I need to go(?) my past. I need to go(?) my destiny. I need to love my destiny.
11. If you have gratitude for just being alive now and just knowing God and True Parents, and you do your best while being faithful to the given reality, you will be able to overcome all the trials and sufferings of our ancestors in the difficult past. Most people do not know that they will be called before God by any motive, so they cover up, compare, and become disappointed.
12. What were Leah's responsibilities? She should have known her position. She knew that her sister Rachel should have been Jacob's first wife, so she had to be willing to serve Rachel well. Of course, it is difficult, but what if they were together like one woman centered on Jacob?
13. My conclusion is that God deals with people with a high level of heart. And God gives all kinds of trials, pains, and tribulations in order to raise the level of the person's heart and love. God gives such trials through Leah and Rachel in order to raise the standard of their hearts so that they can produce quality children. Therefore, raise the level of my heart in my life of faith.
14. Get rid of my envy, jealousy, and egoism. And upgrade the standards and quality of my heart and love. Then, the great quality children that Heaven wants will be born. You should know that children of good quality are born as much as I have cleared my fallen nature. Then my children’s quality will be better and better and better and better. Why did Rachel have such a wonderful child Joseph? After paying the price, after removing all kinds of jealousy going through all kinds of trials and repenting to God, what was the outcome? The quality of her child was different. She had a wonderful child like Joseph.
Do you want to have good quality children? The answer is simple. Raise the level and quality of your heart and love. To do this, love God more than anyone and more than anything else, and love, truly, truly love people. This is the way I can have a better child, a better quality child. Why do trials come? Why do hardships come? The only reason is what? God asks me to level up my heart, to upgrade my heart. Then my heart can relate to God; I can inherit God’s heart and truly become God’s son or daughter, truly become God’s ideal couple, truly become God’s ideal parents.
(Response to sharing) If a husband and wife upgrade their level of heart and love, the quality of children is very different. That is why when I look at my three children, I really repent when I look at their fallen nature. That was my struggling point. I could not (level up?) my fallen nature. My relationship with my wife, whenever I looked at my children -- of course, my children are doing well -- but sometimes I could see that their fallen nature was the same as my character. Wow! I really needed to repent.
As long as we get rid of our fallen nature, I am telling you, what kinds of blessing come to us! The quality of children is different. When we are struggling and struggling with our spouse, then a struggling baby comes out. Can you imagine? A struggling baby comes out! All fallen nature in our children was inherited from me, from our couple. That is why, what is the best way to produce good quality children? It is if the parents’ (have) unity and upgrade their level of heart. That is the key point.
