“The new expression of truth should be able to reveal the Heart of God: His heart of joy at the time of creation; the broken heart He felt when humankind, His children whose he could not abandon, rebelled against Him; and His heart of striving to save them throughout the long course of history.”

—Exposition of the Divine Principle, p. 8

ABOUT this text

Since its first publication in 1966, Exposition of the Divine Principle has been one of the core texts through which we have learned and taught True Parents’ revelations about God, humanity, history, and the world. With periodic revisions to the translations and new adaptations produced over the years, Exposition of the Divine Principle remains an integral introduction to and expression of True Parents’ essential teachings. “Divine Principle” refers to the cosmic principle that motivated God to create, characterized God’s process of creation, and is infused in all living things.
